"All in one meetings management tool"

What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

I'm a Cvent Administrator and like the ease of accessing global meeting data via customizable reports. We have a great customer care team that understands our needs and is very proactive with communication and troubleshooting as needed.

What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

We have a mature SMM program and use the system differently than many other clients so our needs are not always met with new releases that better serve smaller clients.

What problems is Cvent Event Marketing & Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a global SMM program and Cvent allows our team members from all regions to register meetings and the Reports module allows us to get insights into registrations, budgets, attendees, vendors, etc.

"Nothing else compares"

What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

I enjoy the ease of use and the customization that cvent allows when building events. I am a long time user and have seen how cvent has expanded their capabilities over the years to adapt to an ever changing industry.

What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

Sometimes the amount of customization allowed can overwhelm some people when building a simple virtual event.

What problems is Cvent Event Marketing & Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cvent is used for our in-person events and allows us to customize the registration experience based on the needs of each event. A lot of time and thought goes into what we want to capture when having people register and they allow us to do that. The ease of reporting and transitional into the event and execute it, makes the process seamless.

"Elevated attendee experience with registration and marketing communications"

What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

With Cvent we are able to create a seamless end-to-end attendee registration experience from pre-event communications, event registration and confirmation, enticing websites, and post-event reporting.

What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

Because it is so powerful and sophisticated when in the backend for reporting or management tasks, it can be a bit slow.

Recommendations to others considering Cvent Event Marketing & Management:

If an organization is looking to implement Cvent, it is a solid decision. However, it should be well-thought-out in advance. Talk with other organizations who are successfully using the platform, perhaps work with a third-party initially using their instance of Cvent to increase your knowledge and first-hand experience with developing the registration websites, design elements, marketing communications, and reporting. If you are looking to implement a full enterprise SMM for your organization -- work with a consultant for discovery, developing a roadmap that will achieve your objectives, an implementation timeline, testing and review framework, and finalization session.

What problems is Cvent Event Marketing & Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our organization (event management & strategy) uses the Cvent platform for resource management and assignments, triggers, workflows, attendee management, reporting, and more. It is all automated and connected which allows us to really serve our customers and their customers (attendees) throughout the event journey. There is no limit to what you can do with the platform. Although, it does require knowledge. Our team is Cvent certified, we know the system up, down, and sideways. For new users, there is a learning curve -- based on how sophisticated you want your set up to be.

"Simplify event registration with Cvent"

What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

I really appreciate how easy it is to set up and customise the registration process for different occasions. The reporting features are also great - they allow us to track a wide variety of data so we can get an accurate picture of our event's performance and use that information to improve future events. In addition, Cvent's accounting tools are very intuitive, which makes monitoring revenue much easier. When things get complicated or I have technical questions, their customer support team has been amazing! That being said, there may be some glitches from time to time, but with more testing these could easily be resolved in the near future.

What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

I find that Cvent has some aspects that require workarounds or can be confusing to find the content you need to edit. The testing capabilities could also be improved, as well as giving customers more control in creating dynamic websites and the option of more colour choices in templates.

What problems is Cvent Event Marketing & Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Not only is the registration process easier for us, but it is also much more intuitive for our guests, saving them time and energy on what would otherwise be a tedious task.

"Gold Standard"

The ease of use and ability to customize most features is great. The integrations like on arrival make you never want to go back to printing badges again

The inability to customize things based in our needs. Not everything is customizable and for our specific business needs we need even more customization.

Recommendations to others considering Cvent Event Marketing & Management:

Definitely the gold.standard in event management and registration and I imagine it will continue to only get better as they execute on their product roadmap.

What problems is Cvent Event Marketing & Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Data collection in one centralized location is huge. The ability to connect to Salesforce is huge. We eliminate tied work from our web development team bc of the ease if use of flex.

"Great all around event technology"

What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

I love the registration process and on arrival. These two things, in unison, make the planner side of the event planning process seamless and easy. I love that the access portal makes it easy to share reports and analytics with my colleagues!

What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

the system is very robust and sometimes you get confused because there are multiople ways to accomplish the same task. I think people get caught up in all that is possible and come up with ways to use the software that simple tasks become hard

What problems is Cvent Event Marketing & Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are solving the badge printing issue with cvent and the registration issues we have had for years. We successfully used on arrival for our 35000 person commencement week processions!

"Love the one-stop-shop features"

What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

I for one love the one-stop features. It is great that Cvent allows you to create a seamless process for the full event planning to the attendee journey.

What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

I do wish they offered a fully hands-on training when you first sign on as a customer. This would've been helpful and made the transition easier from a previoud platform to this.

What problems is Cvent Event Marketing & Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cvent is allowing us to speed up our registration process and is also building out our attendee engagement and journey via the attendee hub.

"Event Managment Made Easy!"

What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

That full registration, attendee data and reporting is all in one place. I love being able to help our attendees on the backend if they're having trouble. It's the best!

What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?

Sometimes when I am saving and publishing changes within an event, they will not save no matter how many times I click. Sometimes I feel like i'm moving too fast for the program.

It's a one stop shop for all things registration and attendee needs! I can email my attendees, check on their registration status, help them register if need be, and send follow up communications all in one place!

I don't have many dislikes. I would like more of an option to chat in the app with larger groups. Other than that, I think they do very well.
