"Comprehensive, yet still easy to use"

What do you like best?

I love how all of our data is stored in a centralized location and integrates with our CRM database. We're able to have a complete picture of who our constituents are, what events they've attended, and how much they've contributed to our nonprofit all in a user-friendly, visually compelling way. There are many different kinds of reports that can be run, based on whatever it is you want to know about your guest. I love that there are special portals that you can design to give management access to reporting features and guest lists, without giving them their own administrative login or having to run the reports yourself to give to them. I also wouldn't be able to do any of the fun things that I do in Cvent without the ongoing support of the client success consultant, online chat, online training modules, and the Cvent community- so helpful!

What do you dislike?

Sometimes there is almost too much choice and it can be a bit overwhelming or there are some things that can easily be edited and customized, where other things can't, or you have to go through a lot of steps to be able to customize it. It's also endlessly frustrating when the preview you see in the editing tool is often not what the published page looks like. I wish there were more solutions for nonprofit organizations that were easily accessible in Cvent or a special nonprofit/association subgroup that could be joined in the Cvent community.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Once you get it, learn all you can about it and leverage the resources provided by Cvent. You only get out of it what you put into it, so go all in.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Cvent has saved me so much administrative time and has really elevated the look and feel of our organization to our external constituents. I don't have to worry about keeping a spreadsheet up-to-date with registrants or other information. We don't have to pay to have a customized event webpage created, since the Cvent event page now IS our customized event webpage.

"Industry leading for a reason"

What do you like best?

I love the custom registration paths, custom event site and ability to update without coding. Great having a central location for all information. Love On Arrival and that there are many other add on features to improve our reputation and attendee overall experience. Appreciate the potential for sponsor revenue and proof of value to stakeholders.

What do you dislike?

Logic questions could be more robust. Would be great if modification emails highlighted the changes made. Would love for the express sites to have custom emails and to create as many as we want so we can refer back to each email that was sent. Reporting expires after so long.

Prepare to spend but you get what you pay for.

Pricing was an issue but we may be renegotiating our contract now that we have assessed our needs.

"CVENT is a great option for small Non-profits"

What do you like best?

I've found CVENT registration software to be very easy to customize and make it feel personal to our non-profit association. When I first heard about CVENT registration, I assumed it was really only for organizations that put on larger events; not so!

What do you dislike?

The only feature I struggle with is the reports system. I would like to have this streamlined into something even more basic. For example, I want to know not only that an attendee ordered a t-shirt, but I want it to tell me in the same general report what size they ordered, rather than me needing to run an individual registration report.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Give it a shot! If it works for us, I feel it will work well for many!

We are finding that we can better track donors with CVENT.

"Cvent Flex is helping us automate our events!"

What do you like best?

I like how straight forward flex is compared to the old event system from Cvent. So much easier to use.

What do you dislike?

I still don't like the additional cost of any add-ons. We haven't been able to use the email campaign system, etc.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have 300+ person events twice a year that includes customizations to hotel blocks with a lot of different questions and this system helps us organize this.

"The change that is needed to Event Management Software!"

What do you like best?

I like how you can easily plug and play any questions and any creative solution you may think of can easily be put into motion with Flex.

What do you dislike?

I dislike the amount of HTML knowledge that is needed. If it doesn't work smoothly then you either need to have CVENT help you or figure out how to edit in HTML.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you like ease of setup and great customer service then switch to Cvent.

We are solving the removal of RegOnline.

Benefits is a much cleaner looking platform.

"Cvent Suppliers Review"

What do you like best?

Searching for our Event Venues is such an easy and user friendly experience. I can see locations, venue details, sizes, dimensions, etc. etc. Cvent has all of the information for you in such a way that you can just look and see exactly what you need!

What do you dislike?

I do wish that their was a better notification system. I like receiving the emails, but if there was a way to have a pop-up on my desk top or a notice on my phone when a hotel responded that would be great!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I was new to event planning a few years ago, and now I am confident that Cvent is my best resource for sourcing venues. Everything Cvent has to offer is great.

"CVENT has saved us time and integrated our operations"

What do you like best?

We are a multi-client firm with event and communication needs that go from very simple to very complex. After reviewing 7 different platforms over six months, CVENT was the only one platform that could deliver on the complex event setups. The best features are that we now have the ability to integrate events, communication, web platform, CE tracking and membership information all into one system.

We now utilize CVENT not just for event management, but for association management for all of our clients. Other systems had good interfaces, however lacked on event management experience which for our members and clients is the number one thing they value. CVENT provides that good member experience from registration to completion of the event.

What do you dislike?

I would like to see additional features in the eMarketing platform dealing with items such as embedded video.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would highly recommend taking some time with your client success manager and work on what you want to do and how to build it. This system, just like any other, will take time to learn all of the advanced features it has. Focus on your immediate needs first, then set out a time every 6 months to learn a new feature.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We used to use Constant Contacts Event Spot and had to have three separate registrations to manage one of our complex events and would then merge the spreadsheets together, ending up usually being wrong. Continuing education tracking and remitting of credit certificates was also a multi-day task along with just getting things like badges printed.

CVENT allows us to have different user experiences in the same registration eliminating error prone tasks that come with manipulating spreadsheets. We went from spending days to complete badges and CE's to spending around 30 minutes now. That is a huge savings for us and our team. I have calculated that for every $1 we invest in CVENT we save $1.65 in staff payroll costs which is a huge bottom line savings for us.

"Cvent worked well for our convention"

What do you like best?

I appreciated that all of our team could login and access guest registration information, take payments and process refunds.

What do you dislike?

It didn't feel inherent to view capacity for wait lists

We are able to run our convention and reverse expo through Cvent, thus bringing together companies from within our association.
