They send unsolicited offers to learn more about their services for event mamnagement and only after you spend time on calls with them do they retract offers for learning more about their business.

I received an unsolicited message via LinkedIn for a $100 giftcard to learn more about their services for event management. I completed the form to sign up for a demo, took the call with the sales rep, and they retracted their gift card offer and refused to hold up their end of the initial offer. The inital message stated "Take a call with my team, and then I'll send you a $100 gift card." Now the sales rep and their boss have both refused to fulfill their offer of the $100 gift card, stating that my business did not meet the "Internal Eligibility Criteria." I worked for a Power Five Athletic Department for 25 years before I worked for the Academic side. I had run all types of athletic events but, learning how to help our staff and faculty successfully run their conferences and workshops has been a breeze with Cvent. I never used a software platform before and I love how easy Cvent makes my job. I have been at this job for 10 months and I so happy to have this platform as a tool to make my job successful. The cost is on the higher side, but we get what we pay for. I wish the search magnifier on the top for Events and Surveys was more user friendly. When I was interviewing for a job, I found the perfect position that required cvent experience. I quickly dove into the event management e-courses (that were also free!) and learned all I could learn. When I interviewed, my skills were on par with those experienced and within a couple months, I was on the same level as my proficient colleagues. One thing I love about using event management is it's all intuitive. Everything makes sense and if you are taking too many steps to input something, you've missed a step and it's wrong. The only downside I've found in my three years of using this system is not being able to have two people working simultaneously in the same build or your progress won't be saved. We often have two people responsible for different parts of our registration build which means you can't be in there together which isn't a huge deal but would be nice to have the ability to do that Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
