**What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

I love how personalized it is for our registrants. While it makes them feel seen and heard, it also answers a lot of questions that our staff would otherwise have to field. It's also easy to build, with a lot of they key features built in. It also minimizes what we have to email every day by providing daily and session summaries. It's just been a great addition to our events.

**What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

I would love more flexibility in the overall design. The ability to change how things are formatted, plus rigidity in what areas have what colors, makes it hard. I'd love to add more panache to the simple design.

**What problems is Cvent Event Marketing & Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AttendeeHub is just a key information source for our registrants now. It's incredibly helpful with a program that is often subject to change. They can stay up to date with what's happening. It also allows us to send out mass communications that don't get lost in the email inbox. And the daily summaries mean we can focus email communication on other items, making us more efficient.

We have delved deeper into Cvent capabilities - including customizing communications and follow up for session attendees/non-attendees.  We are able to tailor our messaging not just at the event level - but also at the individual session level, which is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

As we utilize sessions within events more, it would be useful to be able to display attendees by session - not just by event.  That way, guests can see who is attending each sub event and use that info to decide their own attendance.

Cvent is a great solution for our event needs. I recommend learning how they can work with your organization.

**What problems is Cvent Event Marketing & Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our org. can manage complex events through one platform.  With Cvent, we can provide up-to-date changing info on events. We can also communicate to segmented invitation lists using one process, which is very helpful in minimizing processing efforts. This allows us to keep multiple invites in one event.

One of the newer things I like about Cvent Event Marketing & Management is the continued innovation around AI and workflow improvements. Features like CventIQ help streamline tasks such as writing event content and generating session summaries, which saves time for planners. I also appreciate the new navigation updates that make the platform easier to move through, along with tools like bulk session tagging that simplify managing large agendas. Enhancements like Cvent Essentials also make it easier to scale smaller events while maintaining a consistent experience.

One area where Cvent Event Marketing & Management could improve is simplifying the user experience. While the platform is very powerful, the number of features can make it complex for new users and sometimes requires a steep learning curve. Additional onboarding guidance and simplified workflows would help teams get up to speed faster. I would also like to see more flexibility in page design and formatting, as well as better collaboration capabilities so multiple team members can work in the same event build simultaneously.

ecause Cvent offers such a broad set of features, the interface can still feel complex and occasionally overwhelming for new users. Navigation between modules and understanding where certain functions live can take time to learn. Continued improvements in usability and simplification of workflows would make the platform more accessible for teams that do not use it daily.

I find Cvent Event Marketing & Management to be the most complete platform I've used; it really helps in delivering what I need or finding workarounds when necessary. The reporting feature is very complete, allowing me to create diagrams, display specific information, and filter to view exactly what I need. Once familiar with it, managing attendees is extremely easy. The marketing and communication tools are fantastic, offering numerous options for tracking and reporting, all in one place. Additionally, the help from the Cvent team and their training made the initial setup better despite the platform's complexity. I also like the integrations with Salesforce and Swapcard.

**What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

There are always areas of improvement; I think visibility of groups, specific filters, and codes need to be improved across the platform, like audience segments. Sometimes you imagine how easy something will be to filter or find, and it turns out that the availability of fields isn't there. Just making sure that the fields are there, for example, you can't create an audience segment based on payments, like if someone has an amount due, or paid for a ticket, only by specific admission items. It feels like it doesn't cover the full length of what this can actually achieve. If you run simple events everything is well, but the minute you become a little more complex, you start to see and wish you could have the ease of using more of these filters.

There's a learning curve. Although they've greatly improved their reporting in the last couple of years, there's still room to grow in this area.

We run thousands of events annually, all around the world. Cvent allows us to centralize all of that data in one place and then integrates with our CRM (Salesforce) as well. It's a really critical piece of infrastructure for our organization to make sense of the chaos.

Lots of feature makes it little complex to conduct campaigns effectively.

We've been using CVENT for a few years now, and I really appreciate the constant updates they are making to the platform. They also provide a lot of opportunities to attend in person sessions to brush up on your skills!

After using the platform for a few years, I don't think I can note anything that needs to be improved. They are constantly putting out updates and share a lot of resources to help you plan your event.

The biggest problem Cvent has solved is our registration nightmare! It makes checking in to our events a breeze, and the nametags look so professional.

With a recent update we are finally able to use Apple pay in Canada for our registrations

My previous comments still stand, it is an expensive system to use. I think sometimes there are too many staff levels so it is hard to know who is doing what

We used to do our registration via emails and that was a mess, this is much easier and faster to gather all the attendees information. And we know that it is accurate information, no missed emails

Its comprehensive suite of tools meets all my business needs, from registration to reporting, saving time while improving accuracy. The downsides are the cost - it can be a pricey tool for smaller companies who may not have a large registration software budget, and the fact that the features change quite a bit meaning there can be a learning curve that's often changing when new things are implemented.

Cvent Event Marketing & Management allows me to have one comprehensive tool when it comes to event registration software versus having several tools for individual functions such as reporting and badge development/printing.

There isn't anything I really like about Cvent.  I find the application frustrating to use.  There are free applications that do the same thing.  The onboarding is horrible as well.

**What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

The registration process is horrible and clunky.  The hardware required for check-in makes the process slow and annoying.  The cost is laughable for what you gain as well.  Overall, I would not suggest going with Cvent.

We were trying to find a way to have an online schedule for a reasonable price, but Cvent isn't it.  I found everything as a user and as an admin to fight you as you tried to use it.

We use it frequently across roadshows, product launches, and compliance-driven seminars. The ease of integration with our CRM and marketing tools ensures seamless data flow, and the drag-and-drop email and site builder make branding fast and professional. On Arrival gives us real-time check-in and session tracking, which clients rely on for lead qualification and post-event follow-up.

While powerful, the ease of use and ease of implementation could be better. Setting up an event—even when cloning—takes time due to the number of manual configurations. The interface is dense, and new team members need training to navigate it efficiently. Customer support is responsive at times, but urgent issues can take longer than expected to resolve. For simpler events, the platform feels like overkill. Still, for high-stakes, data-heavy events, the depth of functionality justifies the effort.

I worked for a Power Five Athletic Department for 25 years before I worked for the Academic side.  I had run all types of athletic events but, learning how to help our staff and faculty successfully run their conferences and workshops has been a breeze with Cvent.  I never used a software platform before and I love how easy Cvent makes my job.  I have been at this job for 10 months and I so happy to have this platform as a tool to make my job successful.

I don't know that I have anything to dislike.  The staff is amazing and loves to help anytime you need assistance.

Since we are a state university we are able to use Cvent to run conferences and workshops for registration and payment collection.  My favorite feature has to be the ease of collecting mailing list and loading them to use for the event emails.

When I was interviewing for a job, I found the perfect position that required cvent experience. I quickly dove into the event management e-courses (that were also free!) and learned all I could learn. When I interviewed, my skills were on par with those experienced and within a couple months, I was on the same level as my proficient colleagues. One thing I love about using event management is it's all intuitive. Everything makes sense and if you are taking too many steps to input something, you've missed a step and it's wrong. This system is designed to build confidence and present a process to your clients that is clean, easy to use and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

The only downside I've found in my three years of using this system is not being able to have two people working simultaneously in the same build or your progress won't be saved. We often have two people responsible for different parts of our registration build which means you can't be in there together which isn't a huge deal but would be nice to have the ability to do that

The main problem it's solving is keeping our entire meeting planning, hotel selection, registration process and onsite attendee hub in one compact spot. It's great to have everyone in one central spot so we don't have to go to different programs to do different things.

Cvent can be used for the smallest or largest of events. The best part is the ease to the attendee to register and manage their own information within the system. It also allows for consistent communication and updates through emails as well as a webpage. I am in Cvent several times a week and enjoy utilizing the system. Their customer support is super responsive and the help portal are key in keeping us moving.

It's so easy to create an event. I love the new Meeting Request Form and we've just started using the Access Portals. I'm also always able to speak to a Cvent rep when I have a question. They're very available.

I have a hard time collecting useful data. Hopefully the new Cross-Event features make this easier, but it's been hard to pull engagement information in a way I can present to my colleagues. I also often face formatting limitations like the font in a text box must all be the same.

The Cross-Event information will be useful when my employer asks specific engagement questions. I am also looking forward to the AI chatbot on registration pages as we often get the same questions.

The ease of the workflow, the clean registration, the connexion between each features. We use it everyday in almost every aspects of our job. It has saved us so much time!

The features aren't perfectly tailored for incentives events. We have quite a few work-around that we must do to adapt it to our events.

Just make sure that somebody is learning and working on Cvent full-time. It is not a learning process that can be done part-time. Also, prepare the field, prepare your colleagues before starting the implementation.

The Event Marketing and Management has been helpful for us to send out emails that are marketed towards our clients who are already signed up for some of the items. They have been super helpful in targeting a client who wants to attend a certain thing.

Sometimes its difficult to match the emails with other ones you have already created in another event. We've copied over events, but if we're looking for a format from an event we didn't copy over then it's hard to match it.

I like the diversity of Cvent. It offers a lot of customization and features that you don't see in most registration tools. There is a wide variety of services and products and the way they can integrate easily with external systems is great.

While the variety and customization of Cvent is great, the amount of customization can make the first couple of events tedious and time-consuming to set up because you have to ensure all of your settings are "just right". Once the first few events are created, the "copy event" feature makes the next round of events considerably easier.

First of all, Cvent oversold their experience and expertise at initial meeting. The project manager assigned to our project didn't have any idea on what are requirement or expectations for the specific event. The agreement and work order were very misleading i believe purposely to hide the total cost.  The WO contained two Total costs and nowhere explained that the grand total is the sum of two total costs. At any point during many discussions or in the WO it was explained that the 'subscription' to their software is renewed automatically unless you opt out in writing. The services that we didn’t need e.g. subscription to the software were added to the scope of work which was not clear unless you read pages of small print of terms and conditions. The Cvent software we used had less features than regular teams or zoom and the chat function didn’t even work during one of our meetings.
Overall, I found extremely frustrating to work with Cvent and did not appreciate their inflexibility

**What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

I have been using Cvent products for years. I love that all of my associates can view RFP's in real time and that clients can continue using Cvent when they book business with us by utilizing Passkey. Our team is utilizing Cvent products every day and it has helped streamline our processes.

**What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

Some of my team members are not as tech-savvy as others and can find the many features overwhelming. Once you're familiar with all of the options, it's easy to find what you need but it can take time to learn all of the caveats.

**What problems is Cvent Event Marketing & Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest issues we had was communication. With Cvent, we're able to reach out to people with pertinent info about their event, promotions for their visit, or general insight to the conference. We also appreciate that after the conclusion of the conference, we can ask for their feedback and use that to make our event better.

**What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

Cvent registration is an all-in-one system. You want attendees to feel like they are having a great experience for an event before they even leave. It is helpful to be able to house all of the information in one area for our client. You can collect all of the information you need for an event without worrying about losing any data. Also, it works great to communicate to attendees - invitation, travel letter and information, etc.

**What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

Every now and then I will get a glitch or something that may not be functioning properly. However, Cvent has great customer service and they usually fix it rather quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering Cvent Event Marketing & Management:**

Make your event not only user friendly, but event planner friendly! I do not know what we would do without Cvent registration.

Cvent registration solves all of the manual processes of collecting data from attendees. It helps the event start seamlessly and it connects all together with air and hotel requests.

**What do you like best about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

Cvent is an excellent event management tool that my company has been using for over 11 years - and is our main conference/event tool. The product consistently improves year after year. Cvent’s customer support is outstanding, offering multiple support channels: direct calls for urgent issues, case submissions, and assistance from their friendly Account Executives. We also use Cvent’s on-site badge pick-up service, which makes the process seamless. Additionally, Cvent’s reporting capabilities are impressive, including web portals for non-Cvent users (typically management) to access reports. Creating event registrations is also straightforward, and the results look fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Cvent Event Marketing & Management?**

The challenges we face with Cvent are minimal. Since we use Salesforce as our CRM, we rely on a third-party integration tool because Cvent’s native integration isn’t quite robust enough yet - but I admit that we have some advanced requirements. Additionally, while Cvent can be a bit pricey, the value it delivers makes it well worth the investment.

Cvent streamlines our event registration process, allowing us to focus entirely on executing the event itself.
