CutConvert is a set of file converters built for video editors and post-production workflows. It converts between subtitle and caption formats (SRT, VTT, SBV, ASS, iTT, TTML), decodes and encodes broadcast delivery formats (Scenarist SCC, MacCaption MCC, and EBU-STL — with drop-frame timecode and proper accented characters), turns EDLs into spreadsheets, converts Premiere Pro projects to XML for DaVinci Resolve, and is the only working web converter for Adobe Premiere's binary .prtranscript format. The broadcast caption converters are verified against reference implementations: the CEA-608 decoder matches Comcast caption-inspector's frame-by-frame reference decode of real broadcast files, and the EBU-STL decoder matches IRT's published reference conversion cue-for-cue. Batch conversion is supported (multiple files in, one ZIP out). Free to start with no signup; paid plans raise volume and file-size limits. Also usable by AI assistants via an MCP server.
