**What do you like best about CurrentWare?**

The CurrentWare platform has four main components sold ala cart or as a suite. The organization I work for has the entire suite of products for all our workstations within three facilities. The platform is easy to set up on an app server or cloud VM. We run CurrentWare locally in VMWare. I have worked several times with the CurrentWare support team for upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and custom setups for our deployment. Their highly knowledgeable support team will do their best to assist you. As the IT Admin, I am in CurrentWare daily to administer the system, run reports, and review the current data displayed in the dashboard. CurrentWare is easy to implement and integrate into your organization and deploy to your client devices (we use a GPO).

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

The only issue or dislike I have had while using CurrentWare was a self-inflicted issue with redirecting clients to a new hosted server. However, the CurrentWare support team was able to assist, and we automated pulling back in most of the client computers without needing to access them directly.

**What problems is CurrentWare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using CurrentWare to assist with compliance to NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC 2.0 Level 2. Under each compliance we are using CurrentWare to meet specific controls for our devices. An example is controlling USB device and what can/cannot be connected to our computers.

**What do you like best about CurrentWare?**

I like that unpriviliged users can not disable CurrentWare usb blocking even by booting into safe mode. Also they are very quick and helpful to assist with any support needed.

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

So far I have no complaints. They have been very helpful in supporting our deployment into our network.

**What problems is CurrentWare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is preventing unwanted access to our computer systems via usb thumb drives.

**What do you like best about CurrentWare?**

CurrentWare keeps us alert of any suspicious activity from our users during regular reporting, as well as on-demand reports when offboarding a user. 
AccessPatrol and BrowseReporter are intuitive and easy to use, as well as integrating with our Active Directory service.

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

If a report is generated with an abnormally large number of pages, CurrentWare doesn't easily allow exporting of the file - resulting in some hacky workarounds to archive data.

**What problems is CurrentWare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CurrentWare allows us to keep an investigative log on the website traffic that our users are browsing to on work-issued devices, as well as locking down/monitoring any files transferred from our servers and devices to portable flash drives.

The customer support is outstanding! Anytime you have a question or concern, they will jump on a Zoom call and resolve the problem. They are also quick to add new features when suggested. The software is easy to install and integrate on Windows-based systems.   This product and the company supporting it are both outstanding!

So far, nothing comes to mind.  My experiences with the product and company have all been exceptional.

  ### 5. Exactly What We Were Looking For With Content Filtering

**What do you like best about CurrentWare?**

Over the past several years, we have used CurrentWare (CW) to manage over 150 computers deployed to different locations for a single client. Their requirements for are unique in that these workstations are all independent of each other, as well as the corporate offices. Furthermore, this client preferred to utilize a whitelist only solution, adding websites to the list once they were approved by the corporate staff. Finding a software solution that could be deployed individually, yet managed in a single interface had been a challenge in the past. We tried several different solutions, but it was not until we choose CW that all of our needs were met.

To be completely honest, over the past year we had some issues with connectivity to the remote locations. Some of this was due to a change in Internet providers at our office, and some not. We were on the verge of cancelling our CW service. However, after spending some time talking with our representative, he brought in some of their engineers to discuss and review our setup. What they discovered was that some of the settings in our console were incorrect, and this was causing the intermittent issues we were having. By taking time to listen to our needs, they supported us and took time to explain and train.

As a result of CW helping us “reboot” our setup, we are happily, and effectively managing these computers again. It is important to note that we are only using one of the many tools offered by CW. However, I am hoping to fully integrate the other modules with our client, and future clients, as there are some robust reporting and controls available.

Setting up the software is very simple, and the interface is clean without unnecessary graphics. This allows us to quickly locate the list of computers, and effectively manage them.

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

If I have a complaint, it is that sometimes the bottom of the page displaying multiple computers does not fully load. As such it does not show the "next' option. Not a big deal at all, but a minor issue that is fixed by clicking on the list again, or reloading the page.

**What problems is CurrentWare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our basic need was for our client to be able to control the web access for multiple users deployed in remote locations. CurrentWare gives us the tools to manage these, and gives peace of mind to our client as well.

The best thing about currentware is Reporting on Employee Monitoring especially on productivity and use of applications, businesses can make informed decisions to optimize workflows and enhance overall efficiency which is directly benificial to Employers.

The dislike about the currentware is the same thing of monitoring the employees raises the privacy concerns. As a employee, I can feel this.

I worked with Derek Brennan and Allan Reisch on installing Currentware Server. Both Derek and Allan were professional and provided valuable insight on the product.  We will be meeting again to plan a client deployment process which I'm convinced will go smooth based on my expeience with them today.  BTW the new UI looks great!

As of now, I have no issues with the product.

I couldn't find track by IP feature. We want to records only when employee connected to school wifi.

Depending on your use case, you could use BrowseReporter's Tracking Scheduler or Do Not Track list to limit who is tracked and when.

The user interface is extremely good and enables me to find information quickly and if needed export it for further analysis if needed.  I have been using Currentware for several years, especially for endpoint protection and network monitoring.  On the very odd occasion I have needed support their Customer Service is first class.  I also like the training videos enabling me to get full use out of the software.

I have been using the software for a few years and have no dislikes.

It prevents my employees taking valuable data from my network and enables me to gain an overview of which software is being used and therefore enables me to make commercial purchasing decitions.

**What do you like best about CurrentWare?**

I like that the software is easily deployable in the cloud.  The user interface is really easy to navigate.  Updates are simple to install.

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

The categorization of websites seem to mis-categorize sites often.  Maybe with the addition of AI the categorization could be improved.  I often have to "whitelist" websites that are miscategorized.

Monitors risky websites or time wasting websites.  Allows for blocking of websites as well.

CurrentWare is easy to implement, integrate, and use even for non-IT persons, but enable an effective control of all sensitive data features and an optimization of the workload of the staff.

Futher, the support is outstanding helpful and provides the right level of feedback to solve problems withease.

It runs seamless in the background, and provides a daily oversight of all key metrics.

You need to meet a minimum of technical requirements (Port enabling) to be able to modify settings for remote working staff.

An effective data loss prevention, without the need to configure every device manually offline.

It's easy to manage many devices and create separate device groups. Customer support is amazing as well as it's implemintation and integration. We use it daily and it has many features.

It's reliability is not on par with other filters.

**What do you like best about CurrentWare?**

Browse Control is what we end up using the most in my organization. It's something we've found valuable and for every issue we've had the customer service has helped us out on fixing the issues.

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

We do run into issues sometimes with Browse Control. URLs can sometimes take a while to update even if you hit refresh to clients. Anything bigger than that we've been able to talk to their customer support and fix.

We only use Browse Control currently which we use for limiting what websites our users can go to.

The dashboard makes it easy to see productivity in our business and the software does not slow down our workstation.

I have had some issues accessing the software remotely, and uninstalling it requires only a password provided by currentware support.

Contolling access to USB ports allow us to control what peripherals can be used, but mainly that people cannot use them to take data away with them.

**What do you like best about CurrentWare?**

I love CurrentWare, it has become a primary tool for our organization. The reports are very easy to understand and the fact that they can emailed to you on a schedule are amazing, and have made finding productivity killers VERY easy. Customer support has been fantastic everytime I've had to reach out to them, and are willing to meet very quickly to iron out any issues I have run into, or provide help on how to see certain information. I highly recommend them!

Nothing! Everything I've had issues with, CurrentWare has gone above and beyond to get it resolved.

We needed to see who was using their Citrix Workspace and how often. Currentware has shown us this and so much more.

**What do you like best about CurrentWare?**

We use currentwave as an employee monitoring tool as it has  great set of features. Its easily compatible with all of our devices.aand its also has great customer support team. it allows you to make sure only some specific is run on your system and it also mak sure proper device control.

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

Its not that aesthetic to look at its ui is old and needs to be updated. monitoring is good but it can also track the employee data which can be a little bit concerning.

Currentwave is a complete suite for employee management and it has also helped us make sure we are safe and no threat is there omn our system.

My main point regarding CurrentWare is that it can make teamwork and productivity much better. A more concentrated and efficient workatmosphere can be achieved through the judicious management of Internet Access. A progressive and dynamic work environment is fostered when individuals can adjust to the requirements of their team.

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

The initial setup process is so complicated, and it bothers me every time I deal with CurrentWare. When it comes to efficient execution, I feel that there is a lack of clear standards and insufficient contextual information. Another factor that adds to the initial feeling of confusion is the absence of real-time support.

**What problems is CurrentWare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using the CurrentWare program, I solve problems related to time management and increasing productivity. With this software, I am able to effectively monitor internet use, reducing distractions. Additionally, I experience benefits such as improved concentration and greater efficiency in my daily tasks.

I am drawn to CurrentWare because of its user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to monitor and control online activities. It helps me to optimize resources and make sure the digital environment is efficient by giving me a complete picture of how people use the internet. Management is made easy and effective with its clear design and advanced functionality.

When I use the CurrentWare program, I encounter certain inconveniences. I experience some dissatisfaction with the interface, which seems somewhat cluttered. Additionally, I feel the response speed could be improved, occasionally causing delays that affect my workflow significantly.

I admire CurrentWare for its ability to enhance efficiency in the management of computing resources. The ability to intuitively monitor and restrict internet access provides complete control over the digital environment, ensuring network integrity and team productivity.

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

I don't like that I can't personalize my alerts in CurrentWare. I find it challenging to quickly recognize crucial events due to the absence of customization options that meet my personal tastes. Another thing that doesn't sit well with me is that there isn't a way to get feedback in real time.

Version 8.0 also includes a significant overhaul of the client/server architecture to maximize performance and provide an optional Active Connection Mode to allow for real-time user activity updates.

The company was helpful and responsive in my setup - it blocks sites I do not want staff to have access to and it allows me to make different policies for different workstations.

Only one critique is that the browse reporting is a seperate applicaiton and license.

Workstations need to be limited and somewhat restricted but allow other access, we want to control access to in and outbound email applications and huge time wasters like TikTok etc.

Deployment of Access Patrol has been straightforward and intuitive. User Guides, menus and options are clear and easy to follow. 
The product itself includes all the features necessary and many additional ones for secure control of USB devices.
Customer Support staff have responded promptly and clearly to any queries logged.
We are confident in Access Patrol's ability to comprehensively secure and monitor all USB activities daily on our network.
One of the features which most attracted us to Access Patrol was the range of reports available. We use these regularly in reporting to management. Overall an excellent product, with excellent support.

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

There is very little to dislike about CurrentWare. A few minor teething issues were quickly resolved by support.

**What problems is CurrentWare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Access Patrol module of CurrentWare is allowing us to easily and effectively control the use of specific USB devices within the network, allowing and disallowing as configured. It further provides us with comprehensive reporting on USB use. It also has a cost-effective licensing model for various sizes of customer. Some other products have a very restrictive licensing model wich was unsuitable for the size of our organisation.

It's easy to deploy and control USB access on all of our PCs on-site.  I don't have to worry about foreign devices from being plugged in.  I can also restrict devices such as printers where they are not needed.

Currentware installs with all it's products listed (even if not purchased).  It would be nice if you could have individual installers so you can install just the product you have purchased.

Company data loss and security is a big issue with USB devices.  By utilizing the software, we are able to minimize both of these and provide greater security to our environment.

CurrentWare support is amazing. The product does will with very little impact on the host computer. We use the Browse Reporter software to monitor internet usage. Any issues that we have had are promptly addressed, even to the point of bringing in the developers to make a custom package for us.

**What do you dislike about CurrentWare?**

I haven't seen anything I dislike. The product works well and has a great dev team to support it.

There is an issue with the maximum database size of SQL lite, which they use by default. Work with support to get it connected to a full MSSQL server and you won't have any issues.

The CurrentWare client does not require a continuous internet connection to track user activity; it will cache the last received security policies and user activity data locally until a connection to the central management software is re-established.

There doesn't seem to be any way to connect CurrentWare to other systems when I'm using it. It would be helpful if there was a better way to link and sync data with third-party tools.

The install of the agents in my experience typically requires being logged directly into the computers. The remote install was not successfull in my experience.

The client wanted to be able to make sure that employees were stay on task and being productive during the hours they were supposed to be working.
