What do you dislike about CurrentWare?

Requires a good connection to avoid errors. Sometimes it is difficult to find a specific deadline. There are so many capabilities on the platform that it can be a little overwhelming at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The CurrentWare client does not require a continuous internet connection to track user activity; it will cache the last received security policies and user activity data locally until a connection to the central management software is re-established.

What do you like best about CurrentWare?

The way CurrentWare encourages productive collaboration is really remarkable to me. The program's integrated security measures and its capacity to connect with other apps substantially improve collaboration and communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CurrentWare?

There doesn't seem to be any way to connect CurrentWare to other systems when I'm using it. It would be helpful if there was a better way to link and sync data with third-party tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We appreciate your feedback about the lack of an API/official data connector for CurrentWare and I'll make sure our product development team is aware of the demand for this sort of integration. In the meantime, all of the data captured by the CurrentWare Suite is kept in either the default SQL Express database or in your existing SQL database, depending on what you chose during installation; if you have the resources a custom solution could be created.

If you've not upgraded in a while, we've introduced an integrated email delivery system in version 8.0.1; with this, you no longer need to configure your own SMTP/Exchange Server. Simply set up your email reports & alerts and they’ll be sent to the chosen inboxes from the CurrentWare console.

Terribly sorry to hear the deployment via the built-in remote client install tool was not successful—Remote deployment tools can be interrupted by firewalls, security tools, insufficient permissions, User Access Control (UAC), etc. You can see our troubleshooting steps here: https://www.currentware.com/support/troubleshoot-remote-client-install/

Our support team will gladly assist you with remote deployment should you ever need to deploy additional clients. We also provide guides for deploying via PDQ Deploy, Intune, and Active Directory with a Batch File.
