What do you like best about CurrentWare?

I admire CurrentWare for its ability to enhance efficiency in the management of computing resources. The ability to intuitively monitor and restrict internet access provides complete control over the digital environment, ensuring network integrity and team productivity. What do you dislike about CurrentWare?

I don't like that I can't personalize my alerts in CurrentWare. I find it challenging to quickly recognize crucial events due to the absence of customization options that meet my personal tastes. In terms of getting real-time user activity updates, in addition to our email alerts, in version 8.0 we introduced Today's Insights to BrowseReporter; it helps you keep a pulse on your team’s recent activity with an at-a-glance overview of their online status, most recent app/website, and top activities. Version 8.0 also includes a significant overhaul of the client/server architecture to maximize performance and provide an optional Active Connection Mode to allow for real-time user activity updates.

You can learn more about our latest updates in our release notes; we release new features and enhancements every quarter, with v9.0.2 expected to be released in late January.

What do you like best about CurrentWare?

We understand that requiring an additional license for BrowseReporter user activity monitoring software may be a barrier; fortunately, BrowseReporter operates from the exact same console and client as the BrowseControl web filter so if you later decide to opt for BrowseReporter you can activate the module without needing to re-deploy; simply enter your license key in the web console!

The CurrentWare feature of being obscure to the end user can make it difficult to do traditional reporting on software inventory or versioning for compliance checks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CurrentWare solving and how is that benefiting you?

We manage clients across a multitude of customer networks, making it logistically impossible to administrate a network-based content filter. With CurrentWare we are able to set a client-based filtering system to make sure our customers are only able to access resources they have explicit authorization to access. What do you like best about CurrentWare?

Deployment of Access Patrol has been straightforward and intuitive. User Guides, menus and options are clear and easy to follow.

The product itself includes all the features necessary and many additional ones for secure control of USB devices.

Customer Support staff have responded promptly and clearly to any queries logged.

We are confident in Access Patrol's ability to comprehensively secure and monitor all USB activities daily on our network.

What do you dislike about CurrentWare?

There is very little to dislike about CurrentWare. A few minor teething issues were quickly resolved by support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CurrentWare solving and how is that benefiting you?

The Access Patrol module of CurrentWare is allowing us to easily and effectively control the use of specific USB devices within the network, allowing and disallowing as configured. It further provides us with comprehensive reporting on USB use. It also has a cost-effective licensing model for various sizes of customer. What do you like best about CurrentWare?

Currentware is set and forget type of software offering a tons of helpful features to provide you with a variety of reporting for a business owner. It has minimum set of requirements for most businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CurrentWare?

It's easy to deploy and control USB access on all of our PCs on-site. I don't have to worry about foreign devices from being plugged in. I can also restrict devices such as printers where they are not needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Currentware installs with all it's products listed (even if not purchased). It would be nice if you could have individual installers so you can install just the product you have purchased. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's true that the installer provides a free trial of each module so you can experience the full CurrentWare Suite; this also allows you to activate additional CurrentWare modules without the need to re-deploy after your trial. I'll pass on your feedback to the dev team!

What do you like best about CurrentWare?

CurrentWare support is amazing. The product does will with very little impact on the host computer. We use the Browse Reporter software to monitor internet usage. Any issues that we have had are promptly addressed, even to the point of bringing in the developers to make a custom package for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
