Clara is a pretty simple and effective tool but the secret is out! Initially, customers would say something like, "Is Clara joining us in the meeting?" because they assumed she was a real person. That's no longer the case. Many people assume this is an AI Bot and the "sympathy response" percentage drops to zero pretty fast. I was able to counter this by hiring a young female voiceover of Fiverr so I could drop a recorded message from "Clara" onto a prospect's voicemail (using a tool like Phoneburner which can automate multiple messages) and that worked pretty well. But , still, Clara can't hide forever, and once customers realize that it's all automated they react negatively. Nowadays, it might be possible to be upfront about it and say "I'm using my robot assistant to save both our times"... but I'm not sure.
