"I wish it works"
What do you like best about Cube?

Excellent customer service. My account manager has been very helpful and responsive throughout the entire cource. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cube?

There has been issue with the connector between Netsuite and CUBE that limits my use of CUBE as FB&A tool. It's still an ongoing issue after 8 month since we signed up. I really wish it works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good so far, could be great with some additional capabilities!"
What do you like best about Cube?

What I like the best about Cube is that it allows our team to continue living in Excel or Google Sheets while still having a good way of consolidating the data in a centralized location that we can access. It also negates the need to have multiple workbooks linked together with links that can break and lead to inaccurate data. Additionally, there really is no native language or system learning that you need to do like most of the other companies in this field because you are just using Excel. This means when hiring/training a new hire or anything like that on Cube, they are basically up and running and contributing in no time because they don't have to waste time learning the ins and outs of the system and how you need to maintain it from the back end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cube?

The biggest hurdle/downside I have encountered with Cube is pulling the bottom-level detail data down from the Cube. When you just want to pull higher level reports like an Income Statement summary or how revenue performed over the course of the year, then Cube is great. It pulls all of those high-level pieces perfectly and makes for effortless reporting. However, currently, there is no way to pull the bottom-level detail that makes up a specific number straight from Cube into an organized list. You can pull the high level numbers and then drill into them to get the detail, but that also gives you the data in a weird format and is not very digestible to budget owner consumers.

For example if I wanted to pull down the Sales software costs that we planned for the year by month with all of the specific vendors and attributes that make up the expenses in the software account, I cannot currently do that. It only allows me to pull the total Software account and then have to drill into the time period you want the data for and then would have to pivot the drill down to get in a readable format. This makes it difficult to pull down the data, then make quick changes and load back up to Cube. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic financial planning software for small/lean Finance teams"
What do you like best about Cube?

Cube does a great job of combining the flexibility of your existing excel/gsheets with the security and controls of a cloud-based enterprise software. Essentially, anything you can create in a spreadsheet is anything that Cube can store. No need to worry about different versions, version controls, issues auditing work, departments working on previous versions, etc. By storing your data in the cloud, you can maintain one source of truth and work with confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cube?

The main pain point with Cube is that you are restricted to row and file size limits that all spreadsheets have. If you are a rapidly growing company with a ton of customer and sales data (many rows), it might be a hindrance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Preston Lam of Cube

Hi Matt, Appreciate you taking the time to leave the thoughtful review. Being able to help your team move faster and more efficiently is wonderful to hear. Would love to learn about what the plans are for the future!

"Changing how we approach Finance"
What do you like best about Cube?

Cube has allowed us to streamline our Budgeting, forecasting, and monthly and AD Hoc Financial Reporting. Cube allows for greater structure and analysis of our data than what came out of our ERP system. Cube has helped to reduce reporting times and provide greater insights for the decision-makers of our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cube?

Cube is still working through some bugs as they roll out new features. Fortunately, live support and CSM are extremely helpful in escalating issues and are generally responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best and easiest FP&A software out there!"

"Simple and Useful"
What do you like best about Cube?

Pulling (or should I say Fetching) meaningful financial data across multiple intersections can be done much more efficiently now that we have Cube. Saves loads of time during month-end reporting and board presentations.

The Publish feature separates Cube from other financial reporting software. This is one of their most dynamic features as you can send data right from your own personal spreadsheet into Cube. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cube?

It is a one-size-fits-all model, so if your business model is uber-complex or your company is constructed in a very decentralized manner, you may have some difficulty making Cube fit your needs. Also, it is a financial reporting tool, not great for financial modeling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Value and Easy to Use"
What do you like best about Cube?

The price point and the ease of use. Both the NetSuite integration and the Excel addon are very straightforward and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cube?

Netsuite integration is not fully automatic, you would still need to manually update any changes to your chart of account. Customer service was excellent at the beginning but has been slower to respond within the last few months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Preston Lam of Cube

Thank you for the feedback!

We've been putting a ton of work to make our knowledge base more useful for our customers. We're always open to suggestions for future help articles! I have asked your CSM to reach out about your Netsuite integration, glad to hear you find it easy to use. From our understanding, you should not be seeing any issues! What do you like best about Cube?

Easy to upload and access data, even for an exec! The team finds Cube excellent for slicing and dicing data to provide the insights and analysis we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cube?

Like any analysis tool, it does take a little while to get familiar with using it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient tool for FP&A"
What do you like best about Cube?

It's an easy to use platform and has a good interface. Very intuitive and has the ability to drilldown into deeper levels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cube?

It can be tedious refreshing data across each department as there isn't a capability to refresh all departments at once Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
