## Cube Reviews
  ### 1. Seamless QuickBooks-to-Excel Integration makes all the difference

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Aviation & Aerospace | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

seamless integration with Quickbooks data, user experience is easy to follow, love the way that it works within Excel

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

A lot of focus on AI functionalities, which isn't a great fit for my specific company. Costs are rising as a result, but although we don't use the features still have to pay for it.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube has allowed my company to remain on Quickbooks for far longer than we could have without the tool. The way that Cube generates financial reporting data in a way that is consumable by management, finance, etc. is key. Also the reporting and data analysis that Cube facilitates is huge.

  ### 2. Super easy implementation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph C. | VP of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Cube?**

1/29/2026 update: Cube continues to be a game changer for our FP&A functions, both in our month-end close process and in quarterly forecasting. The flexibility Cube provides when configuring the system creates real efficiencies, even for edge cases we rarely encounter. Our monthly close schedule has been accelerated by more than a week, and with the help of Cube we’re consistently on time.

Implementing Cube was refreshingly simple and fast. The platform integrates seamlessly with our existing systems and required minimal ramp-up time for our team. Customer support has also been among the best I’ve experienced: responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in our success. I highly recommend it for teams looking for a powerful, user-friendly FP&A solution.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

We’ve had very few issues—any minor concerns were quickly addressed. Overall, an excellent tool with minimal drawbacks.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube has significantly accelerated our monthly close process, reducing manual work and improving accuracy. Forecasting updates are now fast and easy, allowing our team to stay agile and make informed decisions quickly.

**Official Response from Rocky Rakovic:**

> Thank you Joseph! We feel validated to hear that we’ve helped such a strong finance leader navigate FP&A functions more efficiently—that we’ve helped you accelerate your monthly close by a full week is the ultimate compliment. Our team is dedicated to building tools and support that match the caliber of the leaders using them, and we are honored to be a part of your success story.

  ### 3. Thoughtful, Intuitive Dashboards with Reliable Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill M. | VP Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube has been a terrific tool over the past 2 years. While all software has a learning curve, we find it thoughtful and intuitive. We’ve been able to build dashboards that allow us to quickly get to KPIs and value drivers through reliable integrations, and then drill down to the underlying sources and causes. We find it to be a great blend of power and simplicity, and we were well supported by the team.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

We had no significant challenges with the product.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to ERP and other system data with a powerful and versatile interface.

  ### 4. Flexible, Easy to Learn, and Backed by a Fantastic Customer Experience Team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Learning curve is not as steep as I expected, the customer experience team is fantastic answering any and all questions promptly and we have not had any issues getting answers we need. I love Cube's flexibility. I have used other products in the past and Cube is my clear choice.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The web reporting and ability for people to enter budget data there vs in Excel is not super robust yet. Cube is still developing this out.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to have one central source of truth for actuals and budget data vs scattered across excel files and a complete mess.

  ### 5. User-Friendly Reporting Interface That’s Easy to Roll Out

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carl L. | Corporate Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

The reporting interface is very user friendly and easy to implement to a wide audience of users.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The data importing process is a little clunky and can only scheduled once a day.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube is a reliable product that allows a wide group of users to access financially data.

  ### 6. Flexible Multidimensional Analysis with Fast, Insightful Drill-Downs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Youssef N. | FP&A - Consulting | Supervising Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

- Flexible multidimensional analysis.
- Fast drill‑downs and variance insights.
- Reliable single source of truth.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

- Slower performance on large queries.
- Complex formulas with a steep learning curve.
- User interface not very intuitive.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Centralizes fragmented financial data.
- Reduces manual reconciliations and errors.
- Enables faster, more confident analysis and decisions.

  ### 7. Game-Changer for FP&A – Incredible Team Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** wil.clowdus@highlinefast.com C. | Director of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube has completely streamlined our budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. It’s fast, flexible, and integrates seamlessly with our systems, making it a true game-changer for our FP&A process.

Our implementation manager, Vivian, was phenomenal—she guided us through setup with precision and made sure everything was customized for our needs. Our customer success manager, Innocent, continues to go above and beyond, offering proactive insights and quick solutions that keep us moving forward.

Great software + an amazing support team = a winning combination. Highly recommend Cube to any finance team looking to level up.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

I wish the dashboards offered more customization and visualization options, as the current functionality feels limited compared to the rest of Cube’s capabilities.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube has enabled us to drill into budget and forecast-to-actual variances with a level of detail we simply couldn’t achieve before. By centralizing data and syncing seamlessly with our source systems, we can quickly identify the drivers behind variances down to specific accounts, departments, or projects. This visibility empowers our team to take timely, informed action and improve the accuracy of future forecasts.

**Official Response from Rocky Rakovic:**

> Thank you for the impressive and thoughtful review! Stay-tuned for more customization and visualization options.

  ### 8. Easy-to-Use Financial Reporting and FP&A With Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ed F. | Accounting Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Ease of use for financial reporting and FP&A.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

There are no downsides that I can thank of. The integrations with excel sometimes finicky but support is great and is always fixed.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a away to pull data from our ERP seamlessly.

  ### 9. Simple Excel Sidebar and Easy Data Publishing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

The simplicity of the excel side bar and also the ability to publish data

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Source GLs not easily visible. Can't fetch reports based off them. A lack of Scenario currency system

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation. We are able to fetch reports without worrying about the source because we know where it's coming from.

  ### 10. High-potential Product with Poorly Managed Team

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sophie B. | Head of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Cube?**

The tool itself is flexible, easy and intuitive to use. Connecting directly to Google Sheets (or Excel) without being weighed down by set structures or views is great.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The implementation team were poorly managed. We felt a huge misalignment in expectations from the sales process through to implementation (which at 11 months in, is still not complete).

The management team has had constant changes, we had a promise from a VP to offset the implementation delay that has not been honoured since he's left. This feels really unprofessional and we've started to look at alternatives - even though we'd rather not!

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube allows us to have multi-dimensional forecasts that can be retrieved within Google Sheets (or Excel) quickly and easily. It creates "one source of truth" and allows for easy AvB analysis.

**Official Response from Jackie Duggan:**

> Hi Sophie. Jackie from Cube here. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I’m truly sorry that implementation has been so frustrating. It’s clear we missed the mark during a time of transition, and I completely understand how that’s been disappointing especially with shifting points of contact.

In the last year, we've made major changes to how implementation works at Cube. We brought in an entirely new team, rebuilt the onboarding process from the ground up, and overhauled our approach to customer success. As a result, we’ve seen customer satisfaction scores skyrocket and our implementation timelines are now among the fastest in the industry. In fact, we were just recognized in G2’s Summer 2025 Report.

That doesn’t undo your experience, and I know that’s hard to hear when you're still mid-journey. But I want you to know that what you experienced is not reflective of how we operate today.

I know our CRO Benjamin Pitman has already been in touch, but I’m reiterating here that we'd love the opportunity to reconnect and get things on the right track if you’re open to it. Thank you again for your honesty and for sticking with Cube through a tough moment.

  ### 11. My experience with Cube, Innocent Mugyenzi, has been absolutely exceptional.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Most helpful has been being able to retrieve data in real time. The ability to report has created such efficiency allow time to analysis vs. having to manipulate data and then analyze.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Wish there was room for more dimensions, and the data import was quicker.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving a standardized way of Monthly Reporting

  ### 12. Pros and Cons of Data Analysis with Cube software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Other spreadsheets like Google spreadsheets and Microsoft excel mkes multiple mistakes with the updates and this is avoided through Cube software. Usually the manual inputs would take a lot of input energy and time. This labor energy is avoided as Cube can automate the manual inputs. Customer support is good for thee software and even though the company is new and still growing, the updates usually fix the small glitches.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Since the world is moving towards AI, I wish to see AI compability with the data using Cube. This would save a lot of time and make things easier for others. The implementation of data also is difficult because of the data transfer where Cube has 4 predefined custom dimentions and transfering them is complex.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data analysis of the big data files that I work with, it makes things easier for me

  ### 13. Very flexible platform with extremely helpful customer success support!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Really happy with the overall flexbility of the system, with ability to have transactional and operational data all in one place! As it is based in excel, it is easy to look at things in different ways to quickly analyze data or change the drivers of your forecast. The customer support and IT teams have been phenomenal, especially as it relates to the new dashboard feature. The team is always willing to look in to my particular use case for presenting data a certain way, and is quick to respond with the best way how to do it.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

There is no in depth training as every user's use case is slightly different. Needed outside help to implement to get fully up and running. Had to rebuild all forecast models in excel in a way that was compatible to load the data into Cube, which was more time consuming than anticipated. Additionally, formatting of reports does not save in Cube, so every time you go to fetch/build something from the system, you have to re-format or manually add new account to an existing report in excel. Gets trickly when business is constantly evolving/changing.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can spend a lot less time aggregating/organizing data and running financial reports out of our accounting system if new entries are made. This allows more time to focus on analyzing the business.

  ### 14. Flexible product, Great customer service, fast integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

I really enjoyed working with the support team at Cube. The implementation process was very efficient. In two weeks our company was up and running with Cube thanks to the support team. Once starting to use the product most of the features are intuitive and easy to learn. Areas that were pain points the support team worked as hard as they could to provide us with a solution. Cube is working to continue to iterate their product and provide new features. Cube also listens to their customers for feedback which is great as a power user. Their engineering and design teams have listened to my feedback on multiple occasions as they work to consistently improve the product.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The least helpful areas of Cube are based on specifics with the ability to build models within excel. A few features (such as updating and fetching ranges) have to be done each time an adjustment is made to a model. I do feel like within excel updates happen while the model is being built (or by just fetching new data, without having to re-build the range, etc). I will say our company is more focused on detailed modeling using all Cube functions than a traditional FP&A team, and Cube support understands these frustrations and have it in their queue to resolve which is exciting.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to quick performance the month end close using templated excel models. Creating budget and forecasting models. Ability to scale out our FP&A team with all employees working collaboratively and uploading results in a shared model. Version control is also very convenient. Cube integrates our financial and non financial metrics all in the cloud so we can build complex excel models at a fast pace.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hi Ethan,

Happy to hear you've been able to get started quickly and have been noticing our latest features. I will check internally to see if we can nudge along your concerns. Time saved during month-end close is music to our ears!

  ### 15. Great FP&A software that has greatly improved our team efficiency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Cube?**

User friendly and helps with analysis at all levels of detail (from a consolidated P&L view or from detailed transaction level). We also really like the "Publish" feature which we use to create forecasts and compare to actuals.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Due to the level of detail the software has, implementation can be time consuming. That being said, once set up, there's minimal ongoing maintenance required. There are also some nuances to using the software that are only discovered through trial and error.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube acts as a centralized source of truth for our forecasts which is extremely helpful. It also helps us deep dive into actuals, without needing to use our ERP system (which is not user friendly).

  ### 16. Extremely user-friendly for small teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Our team has been using Cube for a little over two years and it was a sorely needed replacement to for Oracle PBCS. Since then, our company has gone through significant change, building new revenue streams & reorganizing. Cube provided us with the flexibility and usability that we needed to navigate change. We love the easy-to-use Dimension Manager and calculated fields.

One of our favorite things, is it's compatibility with Google Sheets. Our organization is primarily on GSuite, so this helped move our team away from excel based reporting and into GSheets which was compatible with the org.

Overall this has been a very positive transition for the team.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Our favorite feature is also our biggest frustration. The Google Sheet add-in in extremely slow and occassionally times out with large queries. If you make a duplicate of a file, you will need to reselect your range to pull a query. It is slow and frustrating, but we are happy to have the connectivity.

No simultaneous loading (ie. two teammates cannot load at the same time). At this time, Cube is not an ideal prodcut for larger teams. It's works for a team of 3 but we occassionally run into issues when teammembers have to delay their loads while we wait for another to complete. I'm sure that this issue would only compound with added teammembers.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compatibility with Google Sheets, ease of use

  ### 17. Cube has significantly improved our FP&A Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maurine W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube integrates seemlessly with Google Sheets which has made budgeting on both a product and account level much easier and much more collaborative because it doesn't require logging in to a different system and subsequent training. It has also significantly reduced the amount of time it takes to produce the financials which has allowed for futher development of new reporting templates. We also see so much value in connecting other data sources to Cube beyond on our financial data. The opportunities to replace more manual reporting processes are endless.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

I would like for there to be an easy way to view and fetch data into all Cube linked spreadsheets without having to login to each one individually, but this by no means should be a deterrent from using Cube. It is an excellent tool.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Budgeting on a more granular level, more detailed reporting on budget to actuals. more detailed and summarized reporting views for all stakeholders, producing financials in record time

  ### 18. Agile excel based tool with very supportive team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Through the use of Cube, we have automated a significant number of manual processes. Data is accumulated, analyzed and reviewed more effectively, which saves the Finance team time and allows the sharing of information to business partners. When we've provided product feedback, the team has been quick to add it to the solution roadmap and address. I appreciate how Cube takes customer feedback and is continuously innovating on their product.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

I think the tool could have had a stronger day 1 integration with our accounting ERP. Although the day 1 look and feel left room for improvement, the Cube team addressed concerns and updated the product functionality.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing the budget cycle was previously a manual process. Cube has allowed for a much more automated process with less manual intervention and opportunity for error. The tool also has allowed for easily adjusted reporting which assists with the month end close process.

  ### 19. Quick set up and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jesse f. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube is based completely off of the excel platform and it works perfectly. There is a small, and I mean very small, learning curve for pulling data from the cloud into excel, and once that is done, if you can build it in excel it will work with Cube. Their CSM's have all been incredible to work with. Fast and friendly.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

I had two complaints with the Cube software and they recently fixed both of those issue.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube has allowed us as a company to build out budgets, forecasts, as well as pulling budget vs actuals in a split second without needing to open multiple spreadsheets and trying to marry them together.

  ### 20. Great tool for FP&A

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Islam Q. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Cube?**

- Cube will facilitate the process of extracting the data on an excel sheet or google sheet with less effort with a particular preference

- It is a good tool to build a financial model for frequent reporting of the financials by only one click

- The customization of the dimensions (Tags) to extract a set of data in a single line

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

- More improvement in the acceleration of extracting the data needs to be consider constantly with a growing volume of data

- More automation tools to be implemented for planning process support

- Enhancing the visualization of the data ( It's already there but needs some improvement in the customization process)

- More effort to be considered in different currencies reporting

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing the time of reporting. Also, minimizing the process of extracting the data for the analysis

  ### 21. Extremely powerful tool, but also simple and intuitive

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan S. | Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

- Very quick implementation. Able to work seemlessly within our existing reporting processes.
- Amazing Customer Success + Implementation teams.
- Useful for standard users and superusers alike.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

- Slightly limited in its ability to handle more complex calculations as you add increased dimensionality.
- Limited ability for data manipulation.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- "Single source of truth" - no more questions about what the number is.
- Version control - easily able to manage multiple scenarios.
- HUGE time savings - financial reporting packages can now be updated with the click of a button, vs. manual data entry.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hey Bryan, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Amazing to hear that the time savings are HUGE! I know our team has been doing work on the data manipulation side, will look to see if I can surface any additional info to share with you on enhancements coming soon.

  ### 22. Intuitive & Powerful - Helps support a scrappy FP&A team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin H. | Finance Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Lots to choose from but one of the huge draws is that it acts as an extension of programs you're already familiar with, Excel and Sheets. There's no programming language to learn, no complicated portals to work within. If you don't know BI, you don't need to learn it. You can "Cube-ify" your existing spreadsheets, or build from the ground up. The functionality is similar to the way pivot tables work, so it's intuitive to learn and use.

& of course it's powerful. QBO doesn't have a robust or flexible budget capability, and filling that gap is what led me to Cube. I'm able to fully house budget and forecast scenarios, run reports and analytics, all within Cube. It's easy to shift a couple parameters, hit update, and refesh your report in the same place to run different scenarios. I tend to use it more frequently than the accounting software's built in reports, and now I've extended its capabilities beyond just budgets and into revenue and payroll.

Huge shout out to the support team as well. I always have a dedicated rep at hand for help (what's up Riley!); the support articles are genuinely useful, which is refreshing for finance software; & they're always looking for product feedback to help adapt the roadmap to what's actually needed.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The only flaw that I find is something they've communicated that they're constantly working to improve, which is speed to load or fetch data. It can be time consuming to update and process a bunch of different reports. However, some important caveats: some of the lag is due to the way our company structure is set up; I have been able to re-design/architect my reports/sheets with speed in mind & to make things more efficient, and that's gone a long way; Cube has already improved the speed of fetching noticeably since I first got setup. I expect it will only continue to improve until it's no longer even noticeable.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) The budget process. In QBO the budgeting capability is non-existant, unless you like manually typing in every scenario and not being able to budget by class. Cube houses my budget/forecast scenarios & lets me view and analyze by my company's preferred data points; department, GL account, vendor, & sales campaign. I'm able to run monthly budget variance reports and plan for the future with ease.
2) We've begun using Cube to help analyze profitablity by sales job. We've never had such easy access to this type of info in the past, so this is a benefit I can directly attribute to Cube.
3) We're beginning now to use an intergation with our payroll software to work on headcount planning and payroll analysis.

  ### 23. Great Financial Reporting Tool for Startups

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony Y. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube is quite fast to get up and running and offers a lot of flexibility with aggregating multiple data sources thanks to integrations with Excel and Google Sheets. Allows for easy template creation to streamline routine financial reporting. Customer support is usually quite responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

We could never get an automatic data connection with NetSuite working, so it is always a manual upload process each month. Missing certain features like a headcount planning module or robust forecasting capabilities in order to be an effective end-to-end FP&A platform for larger companies at scale.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube is great for aggregating financial and non-financial data (via Excel or Google Sheets integrations), acting as a source of truth for financial reporting, and building customized templates. It definitely saves time on producing standardized reports after each monthly close.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hey Anthony,

We appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback. Great to hear that you've been up and running. The time savings you are seeing is music to my ears!
I have asked your Customer Success Manager to follow up about the data connection with Netsuite feedback, from our understanding the issue you've described should be resolved.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

  ### 24. Great product.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

It really is a very useful product at it's core. Cube's excel and Netsuite integration makes month-end close reporting soooo much easier and has really helped to streamline a lot of our processes. The software allows you to import/play with different and granular cuts of data very well.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

It would be nice to see more Vendor level reporting capabilities.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining financial reporting by allowing netsuite/excel integration that allow us to create reports and pull/organize data very efficiently. This has allowed us to get deeper with our financial insights.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hello,

We appreciate you leaving feedback for our team. We're glad to hear that you've enjoyed your overall experience with Cube so far and we've been able to help streamline processes to make reporting easier. Since you posted this anonymously, it's difficult to confirm with the team if things have been fully resolved for you. I am aware a fix is being deployed. Thank you for your patience here. We hope we'll be able to continue to build our relationship as a positive one.

  ### 25. Easy to implement, easy to use, great overall tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lawson B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube is incredibly quick to implement and very easy to get familiar with the system. The biggest selling point was our ability to create custom reports on the fly in seconds. Also, I wanted a software that I could use entirely in excel instead of google sheets or web based. It is seamless to "cubify" your existing models and budgets to upload to Cube. There are continuous product updates that the Cube team rolls out to improve the system. The Cube support team are always quick to respond with any issues.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

While the biggest upside was having an excel based system, it would be nice if there is a way for non finance users to pull budget to actuals in the cube online dashboard.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Department level budgeting, budget vs actuals, quarterly reforecasting

  ### 26. Cube for the win for FP&A

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tera C. | VP of Finance & HR, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube is overall very easy to use and feels so familiar with Excel as the base. I like the addition of the dashboards and hope to continue to develop that portion of Cube. I like that it is intuitive for the most part. I have also experienced great support from our dedicated account rep, actually, that is probably the #1 thing I like. He is great and always helps us solve any issue quickly.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Implementation was rough and not as easy as I would have liked, but after that, we are very happy.

Nothing other than having the time to fully utilize it. I hope the next year will provide more time to do so. I do think the continued enhancements are helpful and each one has contained something that we can use.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our accounting system's reporting was difficult to build and we were looking for something easy and fast. Along with that we want to slice and dice the data easily without having to build something complex. Cube has done all of this for us.

  ### 27. Cube - FP&A system administrator & user review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charly R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Lots of great things to share about Cube! Firstly, the implementation support has been excellent - extremely helpful and knowledgeable technical advisors who have had a solution to every complex request we have had. Secondly, the ability to overlay Cube into our existing Excel forecasting models and management reporting has made it exactly the right tool for our business. Finally, the data integration capabilities are powerful and easy to use - it is most robust data integration between an FP&A system and ERP for actuals that I have ever been a part of.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Currently there is a lack of flexibility in the reporting in Excel. Retrieving data to produce reports is quick & accurate, but takes a lot of formatting to be presentable, especially to users outside of Finance. For example, when retrieve data, it shows all parents and children in the same column rather having the option to present these in a tabular format, unlike an Excel PivotTable. I haven't yet used the dashboard functionality in the Cube web portal which I expect would improve this, but given our wider business is reliant on excel, improvements to the reporting out of the Cube Excel add-on would be helpful.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube is enabling us to have a reliable historical source of management information - a huge time-saver and helping us to focus on trend analysis. In addition, we are able to actualise our forecasts via a system rather than complicated, error-prone Excel formulas which opens up much deeper insight to our performance as a business.

  ### 28. Great Tool with easy implementation and saves time on FP&A reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Have been utilizing CUBE for over two years and it's a great tool for FP&A in small to mid-size startups. Easy integration and connector establishment between different financial softwares. Support team is super helpful and conduct regular check-ins with us to ensure we're aware of new features added. CUBE helps save time on manual download and upload of datasets and allow internal stakeholders to drilldown into their expenses whenever they need to.

The setup of the dimensions are clear and not overly complicated; and personally love the feature of tags and formulas!

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Hoping to see a more complete/robust headcount planning feature/ from CUBE soon where every employee can be added into the system and create something similiar to an employee roster.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly for data importing and exporting from other financial systems that Accounting team utilizes during month close. The import and export function saves the FP&A team time from manually downloading the three statemetns and each department's P&L; and able to slice and cut important categories for OpEx analysis.

Budgeting and reforecasting analysis is another function of CUBE the team utilizes the most, allowing the team to streamline the process and upload all departments' budget with clear G/L accounts linked in a few clicks.

  ### 29. Cube offers flexibility to FP&A

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

We just went through implementation, which was fast without much toubleshotting at all. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our group is still learning and building out templates and use-cases internally, but we have already have been getting value by getting to the data transactions details much faster than before. We are excited to build in the dashboard feature as well. The excel native platform allows for the learning curve to be quicker than some other competitor products.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

I think there are some features that could be added that would be "quick wins" for Cube, possibly in the workforce planning upload (allow admins to do certain things versus call Support). The team though is receptive to the feedback, and we get a sense they are continuing to have design and process flow improvements all the time that will reach the end user quickly.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube is allowing us to bring data to leaders easier and faster. We can provide transactional details much easier than before. The reporting package has just begun to change, with the speed of our delivery to internal stakeholders will be simplier with the refresh of data in already completed templates. Our budgeting/forecasting process will be easier with Cube given the structured design for us to follow and the "merging" of scernarios. The Cube dashboard will be great for even more summary view of dept leaders performance.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hey Paul,

Awesome that you were able to get up and running fast. Glad to hear that we've been able to help provide a new level of visibility to leaders, something our team sees as a crucial use case. Cherry on top is reading about your excitement on Cube's dashboards, keep us posted on how you are using them!

  ### 30. Cube - Ideal spreadsheet server for mid size companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guneet O. | Senior Finance Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube is very user friendly, you do not require alot of training or technical knowledge to access Cube. Perfect tool for FP&A department of a mid size company as it enables you to drilldown to the leaf level information while maintaining the high level information the executive team is interested in viewing. Most impressive aspect of cube is that it allows you to fetch huge amounts of data within seconds and the recent enhancements cube implemented like 'remove 0 rows from results' is a major plus in reteriving relevant data.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The only shortcoming i can think of is that it is limited to 8 top line Dimenions. Although you can bring in as many attributes of data as you want, but i would really like cube to increase top line dimensions to 10. Also, the ability for cross level interaction within multiples cube would be a major plus once implemented.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is helping us in creating dashboards as well as brand level P&Ls for our organization. Cube is not only limited to Financial Module , but you can connect it to any module in your ERP and create dashboards as needed.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hey Guneet,

Our product team was delighted to read your review, our recent fetch speeds improvements, enhanced drilldowns and dashboards were created with you (our users) in mind. Fantastic to hear you've been finding them useful and impactful.

Looking forward to hear how else you'll be finding success with Cube!

  ### 31. Time Saver for FP&A Work!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JaCoby M. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

I love that you can connect so many different sources of data to cube. We have connected QBO, Google Sheets, and other data points to help us with FP&A work. Our month end close process of BvA is so much easier since we switched to Cube. It is nice that you can connect Cube to Excel or Google Sheets and pull in any data you need to a custom report. We heavily use Google Sheets and love that Cube works so well with it.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

There is a learning curve especially when it comes to understanding how the data is pulled into a Google Sheet from Cube. Also the custom reporting is a bit overwhelming at first because of all the possibilities but with time it becomes very easy and so helpful!

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube is helping my company be able to compare forecasted #s against actual #s with so much ease. I love how Cube brings together so many different data points together and you can have it all put on one spreadsheet. Our turnaround time for monthly BvA is so much faster, we are probably saving a couple days worth of work because Cube automates so much!

  ### 32. Cube - The Best FP&A Software out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

I honestly think the best thing about Cube Software is the people who work there. When we decided to go with Cube over a few different vendors, the real selling point was how accomodating the people are and how easy it was to integrate with our current systems. The entire process of implementing and learning Cube maybe took a month at most and we have been able to fly ever since.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

At first I thought there could have been more features, but when I look at Cube today there are way more features. They constantly engage with the customer and provide a great experience by adding things that we request.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube is helping us primarily with our month-end close reporting. Before we used Cube we were taking a lot of time out of our month-end to create usable reports for our C suite. As we are a growing company, we needed to free up resources to analyze and improve our financials. Cube came in and made it so that our reporting time is essentially 10% maybe of what it used to be. We take that time to scrub our financials and give more accurate figures to our stakeholders.

  ### 33. Solid Excel Based FP&A Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew D. | Manager, FP&A, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube is extremely simple to setup and easy to learn. I've worked with many FP&A tools in the past (IMB TM1 and Biznet are examples), but Cube has been my favorite thus far. TM1 is known as the powerhouse FP&A tool, but came with many tech headaches that required outsourcing of setup to consulting firms. Cube on the other hand was implimented in a matter of days, with no external consultants. The Cube setup team was top notch and was available to answer questions at a moments notice.

In terms of functionality, the software is extremely easy to use and took only a few hours to understand. The website portal is very clean and well organized. Adding new date ranges, forecast or budget scenario's are just a click of a button which is a big upgrade compared to the complexity these seemingly simple tasks became with other software I've used.

It works great for our month end close process, reviewing P&L details and variance analysis. Data import is just 1 click and data export into excel is quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

There isn't much to not like about Cube, but there are a few small quirks that could be improved. Being able to refresh multiple tabs at once can be a challenge as every month the range needs to be "reselected" if you adjust dates/accounts. Some of my reporting will have 40+ tabs, which means I need to manually select the range for each of these tabs before refreshing data.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube allows for a singular data warehouse of all our key financial statistics, which means everyone in the comapny is using the same data and pulling from the same source. This simplifies reporting and makes it easy to pull monthly budgets/forecasts/variances analysis.

  ### 34. Easy to learn, use, and implement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Nice interface, intuitive use. It was probably the easiest FP&A tool to implement and learn for a team not accustomed to legacy FP&A applications. Like how it leverages excel to easily create and format P&L data without complex formulas and the drill down functionality to the transaction/journal enty data.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Large data sync for us daily takes about 1-1.5 hours. Would like that to get better over time. Also, limited to only 8 top level dimensions

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to produce various cuts of financial data into easily refreshable excel schedules. Cut down time to do various segment, division, or location P&L summaries and reporting packs.

  ### 35. Great Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Simple, intuitive and native excel integration are some of the best aspects of Cube. Also the customer service is superb, any questions or issues I encounter are resolved immediately.Their online chat and entire staff is super friendly and really care about the user experience. The software has saved us an immeasurable amount of time and effort in creating our monthly accounting and FP&A reports.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Literally not one complaint. They are perfect for our roganization. There is a slight upfront learnig curve, but once you learn the basics you are up and running.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining monthly financial reporting and analysis. Budgeting, forecasting, P&L, balance sheet and other supplemental reporting to name a few. Cube allows the accounting team to focus on analysis and we spend almost no time creating financial reports as they are completely automated.

  ### 36. Great experience so far!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Our team has had a great experience with Cube. We migrated off a more complex financial system and had some hesitation with the need to create files & templates in Excel in order to utilize Cube, since all of our data previously lived within our financial system. The implementation went off without a hitch and only took about 6 weeks. The platform is easy to use with a minimal learning curve. The live customer support Cube offers is unmatched and has been incredibly beneficial for the times we've needed it.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

I wish Cube had a more robust headcount planning tool within the platform.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quicker forecasting & ability to turn over financial reports to management.

  ### 37. Efficient and Effective FP&A Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube improves the efficiency and customization of the day to day functions of FP&A. Using Cube, we've reduced the preparation time of recurring reporting immensely. Cube is highly customizable in both Google sheets and excel making it a versatile tool to enhance FP&A deliverables.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

In the year my Company has utilized Cube, we've experienced numerous issues with complete and accurate reporting. There have been multiple instances where the integration between Cube and our accounting system were not functioning properly rendering the capabilities of Cube unusable. The customer support team is very responsive, however these issues sometimes takes days to resolve.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube increases the efficiency and time involved with the daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis. Cube templates are highly customizable and can be used for various purposes, making the creation of unique financial reports streamlined. Cube removes the manual process of financial reporting and automates it.

  ### 38. Great at first but ongoing issues have emereged.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Our integration was great, and we were up and running very quickly. Very simple to set up the basics in terms of making templates for monthly reporting, actuals versus Budget analysis and to be able to dive into the details behind particular line items in Excel without having to go into Netsuite. It also made consolidating Budget and Forecasts very easy.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Unfortunately, we have had ongoing issues over the past few months with syncing our Cube to Netsuite. As everyone knows in FP&A the monthly close is always a time crunch in terms of quickly turning around reporting to management and department leaders. We have had ongoing issues with syncing Netsuite to Cube which has greatly delayed the turnaround time to generate standard reporting. Frankly, we've been disappointed with Cube's response and the time it takes to resolve these issues monthly. For a software at this price point, I would expect a speedier response and a resolution of the route cause.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FP&A basics such as monthly reporting, AvB, budget and forecast consolidation. Cube does the basics very well - as long as you don't have any issues getting your data in from Netsuite on a monthly basis!

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hello,

We appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback for our team. I am aware a fix has been deployed to resolve the issue you described. We appreciate your patience here. We look forward to continue to celebrate wins together.

As always, if you have any additional questions or feedback please feel free to reach out to me directly at preston.lam@cubesoftware.com.

  ### 39. Cube has been a transformative breakthrough for my budgeting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

I love Cube's ease of use and the ability to do most of my work in a platform that I know and use regularly. I can do work right in Excel and google sheets.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The initial data setup for our specific use case took some time, but I don't mind that work because it allowed me to really quality control the data in.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube allows me to keep all my data in one place that is locked in place and doesn't change unless I make the chnage myself. I'm able to do different versions and manipulate the data to see different scenarios while not losing my previous calculations.

  ### 40. A flexible, easy to use tool for our FP&A team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Once you understand how to manipulate the structure of the templates, pulling in the information you need in the correct layout is relatively simple. And with the ability to pull in multiple scenarios (forecast and actuals) allows for easy comparisons and variance analysis.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Due to the number of transactions each month, the tool sometimes times out when we try to upload the new month's transactions. And while this may not necessarily be a Cube issue (it could be a limitation of the ERP software we are connecting to), Cube automatically shuts off a setting that I cannot reset on my own, requiring that I reach out to Cube to turn back on. A minor issue, but annoying nonetheless when it happens repeatedly.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube helps streamline the data sources by allowing uploads from multiple external sources. Centralizing the data before we analyze it ensures we pull from a single source, and any issues can easily be traced back.

  ### 41. Deep, robust FP&A tool that is also easy to learn and use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube is a very deep tool and can be utilized for a variety of business purposes including financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgetary analysis, etc. In my experience, depth and flexibility with this type of tool often comes at the sacrifice of usability, but Cube is the exception. Both the online portal and the Excel plug-in are very intuitive and user-friendly. There was a bit of a process to initially get everything set up, but the experts at Cube were very friendly and helpful in walking us through every step, answering questions, and generally going above and beyond to ensure we got the most out of their product. The online dashboard is very easy to set up and personalize and can give a great at-a-glace illustration of business trends or any other company-specific metrics you would like to track. As an avid Excel-user myself, the Excel plug-in is my personal favorite feature that Cube offers. Using the plug-in allows data pulled into spreadsheets and sliced and diced as necessary within seconds, without resorting to macros, power queries, or any over-complicated formulas that would otherwise be needed to accomplish the same task. Cube is an all-around strong product that will only continue to improve and I would highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

As with any software tool, there are occasionally small things with Cube that can be improved. What sets some companies apart in this area is their willingness to listen to feedback and continuously improve their product - Cube absolutely passes this test. They have been very patient and willing to listen to any and all feedback we have offered, and I can tell they genuinely care about hearing customer feedback that they can use to continuously develop new features and improve existing ones. The software is designed with the end-user in mind and it shows.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Cube for budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, business performance and trend analysis, etc. The Excel plug-in is especially helpful as it allows automatic updating of spreadsheets with GL data, which we currently utilize for accounting processes like month-end-close, reconciliations, etc.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Jacob, thanks for leaving such an insightful review!

We are especially pumped to hear that you've been finding dashboards handy. Appreciate you taking the time to leave us some feedback, I will be sure to share your comments internally.

Preston, Customer Marketing @ Cube

  ### 42. Easy connect and consolidate data into one platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube is easy to use once you get a hang of it. I love how we can go into Cube and pull any information that we need since most of our data are in Cube. I love how easy it is to integrate our system with Cube as well. I mostly use the system for month end close process and never encounter any problems so far!

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

It took a few trials to be able to fully understand and function it seamlessly, but once you know how it works, you can basically do anything. Our Cube support is very helpful and quick to jump into any questions we have.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast and easy to connect our data and consolidate our financial into one platform. I love the one click import and export to and from Excel. Cube makes our month end close process a lot smoother, quicker, and more efficient!

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Fantastic to hear you've been able to quickly adopt Cube and we've been able to quickly integrate with how you work. Would love to hear how you've been reallocating the time saved from month-end. Free free to reach out to me directly at preston.lam@cubesoftware.com :)

  ### 43. Cube has helped scale our team efficiency by leaps and bounds.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam R. | Analyst, Strategic Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Our team went from modeling exclusively on excel to integrating cube and immediately seeing benefits. We had a timeline for a major task that we otherwise would not have been able to complete in a timely manner if we didn't have Cube. I'm continually looking forward to iterations of our projects to see where we can continue to drive efficiencies through Cube and how we can best utilize it so that our team continues to level up. Also, their CSM team is the best!

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Cube is a great software, but sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge, at least in the beginning, to organize your financials in the way you view your company. However, this is made dramatically easier by the great work their CSM team does and implementation is still lightning speed in comparison to other similar tools. Whatever challenge setting up may be, it is still well worth the effort and the benefits will undoubtedly be felt immediately.

Updated April 2023 - While Cube has made basic processes much quicker, we suffer every Close and Quarter-End Process because of the delay it takes in importing data and subsequently refreshing that data to flow through our system. We're not even submitting that much data, so how unreliable and useless Cube becomes is pretty shocking. Working with the CSM team post-implementation is pretty difficult since they don't really work with you to figure out the issues, they just send it to their technical teams who struggle to identify what's going on and something that you would think can be resolved in 1-2 hours ends up taking 24hrs+. These issues happen monthly so we are constantly delayed on when we send out our financial packages.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving problems across reporting and simply being able to organize our data more quickly and efficiently allowing us to be much more productive.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hi Adam,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take your comments extremely seriously. As such, I have shared your concerns internally. From my understanding, we've been able to connect with you and your team to fix the delays you were seeing.

But, to ensure this issue has been fully resolved in your eyes, I have asked your CSM and our team to reach out immediately to touch base to ensure you are fully supported. This is not the standard customer experience we aim to deliver and we apologize for any impact this has had on you and your team. Looking forward to getting us back on track here.

We hope to hear back from you soon,
Preston, Customer Marketing @ Cube

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonella S. | VP of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Being able to fetch data from the ERP to excel saves me so much time and effort. I no longer need to log in to the ERP, run a report, export the report, format it and copy and paste data into financial reports. Implementation was quick, and the software is easy to use. Customer support is helpful and responds quickly. Being able to customize within Cube to match our unique reporting needs is a plus. Being able to publish multiple scenarios streamlines our ability to analyze financials across different scenarios. Cube has allowed me to increase the volume of reporting to stakeholders providing even more visibility into company financials.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The time to import data from the ERP to Cube takes longer than I expected. It would be great if Cube was able to receive updates from the ERP in real-time which would also eliminate the need to import.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having to regularly gather data from multiple sources saves time and makes the reporting process easier. Being able to seamlessly compare multiple scenarios allows for more insight and analysis into company performance.

  ### 47. Streamlining FP&A using easy-to-use Excel templates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube has been helpful in automating our FP&A activities such as monthly actuals vs. budget reporting and creating easy-to-use Excel templates to track and monitor KPIs.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Since Cube leverages Excel-based templates, it may require additional work to create various ad-hoc reports and verify that formulas/linking are done correctly.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to pull data instantly from various sources such as our ERP and consolidate financial results across multiple departments. Allows us to run ad-hoc reporting that would otherwise be challenging using standalone spreadsheets.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hey Stephen,

Awesome to hear that Cube is allowing you to stay agile and spin up ad-hoc reporting, would love to learn more about how else you've been finding success! Free free to reach out to me directly at preston.lam@cubesoftware.com.

Happy planning!

  ### 48. Time Saver! Easy to use and setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube has cut significant time off our close process by allowing us to get data from several sources into one place that we can pull at a moments time. It has allowed the team to spend more time analyzing the data and less time compiling data. We have our CRM, HRIS, Financial, and Budget data in one place and standardized for a fraction of the cost of several other solutions we looked at.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Sometimes the import process can take a little bit of time.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allowed us to get all of our data into one place. We have multiple entities, and it made consolidation very simple for us. For example, we can get consolidated financials out with the click of a button now instead of having a manual process to map and eliminate accounts. It has cut down on mistakes and removed the potential for errors moving forward.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hi Robert,

Time saved = music to our ears. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Cube so far. Our team is constantly chipping away at import/fetch times, in our next product update email you should be hearing some more details around that.

Would love to connect sometime to learn more about how your using Cube!

  ### 49. Extremely Agile FP&A Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

I love how flexible it is, and the drill-through capability is phenomenal. We were able to implement the tool in a handful of weeks and saw immediate efficiencies.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Some of the integration aspects could be better. Also, dimension management could use member name/alias functionality to limit the number of times you have to update reports.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to dynamically pull information out of Excel. Segmentation reporting. The tool is the backbone of our management reporting process.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hi David,

We're pumped to hear you've been enjoying using the drilldown functionality in Cube. Would love to be able to pass that feedback for integrations back to our product team. If you haven't already feel free to submit any feature requests via the Cube knowledge base!

Preston, Customer Marketing @ Cube

  ### 50. So far so good!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

I have used other planning software products in the past and what I really like about Cube is how it uses Excel as its platform. This has allowed us to use existing reports, models, dashboards, etc. Also, the ease of setup and creation of new or ad hoc reports has saved our team tons of time. The entire finance team has been pretty happy and impressed with the functionality we have seen and would make the same choice again with going with Cube

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

While Cube and its platform is pretty straightforward, I felt like there was the need for a little extra time to understand the best practices to make the product work best for our needs. However, after getting acclimated to Cube, it is all easy to use.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main use cases are eas of pulling financials data on multiple versions as well as pulling a subset of actual KPI vs projected KPI. What once took hours to perform now takes minutes.
