Being able to fetch data from the ERP to excel saves me so much time and effort. I no longer need to log in to the ERP, run a report, export the report, format it and copy and paste data into financial reports. Implementation was quick, and the software is easy to use. Customer support is helpful and responds quickly. Being able to customize within Cube to match our unique reporting needs is a plus. Being able to publish multiple scenarios streamlines our ability to analyze financials across different scenarios. Cube has allowed me to increase the volume of reporting to stakeholders providing even more visibility into company financials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The time to import data from the ERP to Cube takes longer than I expected. It would be great if Cube was able to receive updates from the ERP in real-time which would also eliminate the need to import. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cube has been helpful in automating our FP&A activities such as monthly actuals vs. budget reporting and creating easy-to-use Excel templates to track and monitor KPIs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since Cube leverages Excel-based templates, it may require additional work to create various ad-hoc reports and verify that formulas/linking are done correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hey Stephen,
Awesome to hear that Cube is allowing you to stay agile and spin up ad-hoc reporting, would love to learn more about how else you've been finding success! Free free to reach out to me directly at preston.lam@cubesoftware.com.
Happy planning!

Cube has cut significant time off our close process by allowing us to get data from several sources into one place that we can pull at a moments time. It has allowed the team to spend more time analyzing the data and less time compiling data. We have our CRM, HRIS, Financial, and Budget data in one place and standardized for a fraction of the cost of several other solutions we looked at. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the import process can take a little bit of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hi Robert,
Time saved = music to our ears. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Cube so far. Our team is constantly chipping away at import/fetch times, in our next product update email you should be hearing some more details around that.
Would love to connect sometime to learn more about how your using Cube!

I love how flexible it is, and the drill-through capability is phenomenal. We were able to implement the tool in a handful of weeks and saw immediate efficiencies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the integration aspects could be better. Also, dimension management could use member name/alias functionality to limit the number of times you have to update reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hi David,
We're pumped to hear you've been enjoying using the drilldown functionality in Cube. Would love to be able to pass that feedback for integrations back to our product team. If you haven't already feel free to submit any feature requests via the Cube knowledge base!

I have used other planning software products in the past and what I really like about Cube is how it uses Excel as its platform. This has allowed us to use existing reports, models, dashboards, etc. Also, the ease of setup and creation of new or ad hoc reports has saved our team tons of time. The entire finance team has been pretty happy and impressed with the functionality we have seen and would make the same choice again with going with Cube Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Cube and its platform is pretty straightforward, I felt like there was the need for a little extra time to understand the best practices to make the product work best for our needs. However, after getting acclimated to Cube, it is all easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We evaluated several vendors in this space, ranging from small players to larger enterprise-level solutions. We found Cube to be the best balance of capabilities, structure, and integration with our existing environments (working in Excel rather than Google Sheets or a separate tool). The cube implementation went incredibly smoothly. Our implementation manager was new to the organization, but was clearly well-supported by staff behind the scenes. Training up our leadership team to fetch and publish data was a breeze. We went from time-consuming manual variance reporting to self-serve reporting in the span of a couple of months. We found the SalesForce integration to be a bit clunky given Cube's target market. During implementation we were advised to ask our SalesForce admin team to give us the SOQL query we needed. As a smaller organization we don't have a full-time SalesForce admin, and we could have used more guidance on what fields others are pulling into Cube from SalesForce. SalesForce integrations we've done with other tools have been much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hello Sam!
Thank you for your review, I will make sure to pass your feedback to our team about your experience with the Salesforce integration. Glad to hear overall your implementation went smoothly. We're focused on improving our knowledge base to help our newer customers get ramped up faster than ever. Be on the lookout for emails from us. Looking forward to chatting in the future.

+ Cube has a fairly intuitive connection with the Xero platform. It is easy to set up and the sync works well.
+ The data captured from our accounting system is then easily pulled into customizable excel packages allowing for automated, custom reporting.
+ There is a learning curve working with the add-in; however once you get used to it and set up your reporting templates - reporting can become as fast as a few clicks to update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
+ Only downside for Cube is the lack of real-time updates from the accounting system. Currently data updates need to be sync'd manually into the main portal prior to updating using the add-in in excel. (Would be nice to be able to initiate this from the add-in as well) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cube provides an interactive, easy to use and simple interface to access and analyse financial data in a matter in which many finance professionals are familiar with - within Excel itself. Once it's set up, it works well in achieving its goal through simplicity and intuitive template building. It provides a great way to quickly update budgets, drill into detail from the underlying Cube data table, and data is easy to update (such as dimensions or mapping) or export raw data for analysis in external platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Detail isn't as easily visible as it could be, as drilling int detail requires first creating a Cube template and then drilling into a specific value. While this simplicity is a key strength for high level updates or budgets, or even GL-level data, analysisng underlying transactional data using Cube isn't as effective as it could be. Cube should aim to implement the ability to query its data warehouse via external platforms such as Power BI or Tableau, which doesn't currently exist. Being able to query the Cube data via API, Odata feed etc would elevate the solution to a higher level, and would allow Cube to only provide value in Excel, but to be used as a warehouse solution as well, which would remove the need for software such as Snowflake in small or medium sized businesses. Currently to analyse Cube data in more granular detail requires exporting the data manually to the tool of choice. This is unfortuante as it seems Cube already has the tools and setup in place to act as a good warehouse tool - the customer has set up the dimensions, structures, queries and rules within Cube to create Excel Cubes, would be good if it could then be queried externally. Setup and Implementation was quick and easy to do. The templates are customizable and work well in Excel and Google Sheets, which is important as Google Sheets is our main collaboration tool within the team.
The intuitive flow is easy to grasp as well, you can publish data to different scenarios, and fetch to pre-created templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The processing speed of some of the fetches can take time. I believe they are working on improving the speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
