When we have questions, the staff is always more than helpful! We looked at several other practice management systems, and this was by far the best. We're so happy we went with them! **What do you dislike about Crystal Practice Management?** Sometimes when we need to update to the next version, we'll glitch out in another area. Usually, something that can be figured out and fixed, but we may not realize it right away. Nothing major ever, though. **Recommendations to others considering Crystal Practice Management:** When choosing your new practice management software, I would absolutely consider Crystal PM. Their support is fantastic with any technical question or customizing the software to your needs. We also love that the Weave communication system is compatible and Schedule Your Exam (connected to our website) is wonderful. **What problems is Crystal Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** This software makes it easier for staff to navigate. When onboarding a new staff member, training is very straightforward and simple. Previously we used a software that was not very user friendly, and the reports were minimal and not really what we needed. We love CPM reports! ### 2. I also like that I can auto-populate normal exam findings or previous exam findings. So in short, customizability. **What do you dislike about Crystal Practice Management?** I don't like that I can't access all parts of the EHR without maximizing my screen. Even with scrolling up, down, or sideways, sometimes certain tabs are hidden. **What problems is Crystal Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been able to securely, electronically document eye examination findings. It is making patient care efficient and safe. Way, way easier than writing on a paper chart. The problems I am solving are exam efficiency and safe storage of patient information. ### 3. Going through older charts and forwarding them to current is simple and the chart is clean and easy to read. **What do you dislike about Crystal Practice Management?** Can’t print out a nicely formatted patient exam summary. I like that it ask for all the information needed to use the software effectively. I like most of all that Crystal allowed the transition from paper to electronic usage very easy. **What do you dislike about Crystal Practice Management?** There was nothing I dislike about Crystal for the most part. I think the company should make it a bit easier when linking multiple office locations to make files more easily accessible. **Recommendations to others considering Crystal Practice Management:** Crystal is a bit pricey but it is well worth it to keep your practice organized and the minimalize lost of patient documents. **What problems is Crystal Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Crystal has definitely made a difference in the transition from paper to electronic systems on the office. Everyone is able to view the same thing when necessary and does not have to be in the same room to do so. You don't have to worry about documents being lost or misplaced also. ### 6. Everything about a patient is organized by certain tabs under their patient profile. I haven’t came across anything to dislike Crystal yet. **What problems is Crystal Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are beating the old school way of having patient charts in folders. There is no need for file cabinets anymore with this. Everything we need to know about a patient is on their patient profile. It makes things easy and less time consuming for us and the patient. ### 8. Also, I liked that you could instant message people or computers that they were using. **What do you dislike about Crystal Practice Management?** I disliked that the files tab would require an outside program, such as adobe acrobat, to view files for a patient. I also dislike that you can not edit/crop/rotate scanned images in crystal once it is in the files tab. **Recommendations to others considering Crystal Practice Management:** It is great! **What problems is Crystal Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Crystal Practice Management helped the optometry office I worked at facilitate all operations. Our practice was completely dependent on this program. We had a power outage and was unable to do anything because crystal was down- that goes to show how dependent on the software we are. ### 11. Do not need to worry about having to free text basic things like contact lens parameters or exam findings. You can even customize to include more pages that suit your office, like binocular vision findings. **What do you dislike about Crystal Practice Management?** I wish I could retrieve deleted/completed tasks in a "done" folder. **What problems is Crystal Practice Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a one stop shop - charting, scheduling, and messaging.
