**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Azhar S. | Data Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2023

1) Our sales staff can find shared funders across our customer base by using fundraising data from Crunchbase. This allows our team to create targeted messaging based on social proof throughout our prospecting efforts and to be prepared for calls with new clients.
2) The data can be downloaded in microseconds. Getting the data from the database does not take much of our time. It's a quick procedure once you're comfortable with the tabs and information provided.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

1) It has some pretty advanced functions that I haven't been able to use yet, but I've been content with the basic functionality.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to all critical funding information and corporate details quickly. I don't need to use numerous tools to find the information I seek.

  ### 2. Connect with professional in your industry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

it has so many different companies and its always up to date, also daily updates to your inbox are super helpful.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

it is really hard for me to say so, as I use almost all the features there, it depends on user needs.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

That I have such a great access to companies from all over the world and have there most updated information that help at work

  ### 4. Crunchbase is an essential platform for startups and business information.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivanshu K. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

I like Crunchbase's comprehensive company information, startup tracking capabilities and valuable investor insights. It is really easy to use, and the platform has a clean and intuitive interface, making it easy to find and access the information I need. Plus, it integrates with other tools and platforms I use, like Salesforce and LinkedIn, which makes it a great addition to my tech stack.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

While Crunchbase offers many valuable features, some users may find the platform's pricing higher, particularly for its more advanced plans. Additionally, some users may find the search functionality limited, especially when searching for very specific or niche information. Finally, the platform's emphasis on funding and investment data may not be useful for those looking for other types of business or market information

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crunchbase benefits businesses and investors as it provides a centralized platform for accessing comprehensive and up-to-date information, saving time and effort. It offers valuable insights into the investment landscape for investors and can be used for lead generation, market insights and research on competitors and potential partners for businesses. Overall, Crunchbase provides a valuable tool for making data-driven decisions.

  ### 5. Great Platform, Limited on Search Results

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zackary L. R. | Founding Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

By creating a custom list and setting up alerts on Crunchbase, you can easily keep track of companies that are important to you. Integrating this into your daily routine will allow you to stay updated on their recent activities and key firmographic information, such as funding and acquisition data. To begin tracking a company, you can select "Add to List" on its profile and choose "My First List." Email alerts can also be set to notify you of important updates, like when the company raises money, gets acquired, or goes public.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

The limitations of search results, only providing you with 1000 results, can be a major problem as there may be additional results beyond the first 1000 that you cannot access. This limitation is especially problematic when you know there are more results available, such as 4314 results, but you are only able to view the first 1000.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The companies I am researching require further scrutiny of minor details, including the number of employees, the identification of key individuals such as the owner and head people, and information regarding the sectors they operate in.

  ### 6. Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dinesh K. | Lead Generation Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

Crunchbase offers a vast database of companies, including startups, making it a go-to resource for anyone looking for information about the startup ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

Nothing much in dislike so its good to use only

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Users appreciate the detailed funding information available on Crunchbase. It provides insights into funding rounds, investors, and valuations, which are crucial for investors and startups

  ### 7. Game Changer for prospecting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Briana C. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

The lists functions are great. So are the hubs for generating new ideas and verticals to look into. The recommendations emails are also super useful if you set them up to be the right cadence and come in as regular as you need them to be.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

The default is for any lists or recommendation updates to come in DAILY which we all know is way too often to be getting more emails and starts to feel like junk. I think the extension isn't built out as well as the web browser version but that is to be expected.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me find growing businesses that are at the right size and time to be spending on custom content advertising. Finding brands that have healthy enough financials to assume they can make an investment in marketing.

  ### 8. Useful tool for early stage B2B software companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

As a founder of a B2B software technology company, Crunchbase has been a useful resource for generating B2B sales leads. The platform allows me to identify potential clients, understand their business models, and tailor my pitch to their specific needs.

The search functionality on Crunchbase is effective and flexible. I can search for companies based on a relevant variety of criteria, which allows me to quickly identify potential clients who are a good fit for our product.

Crunchbase provides a level of detail on each company which is helpful for refining the sales funnel. We can see their funding history, their leadership team, their competitors, and much more. This information helps me craft a more compelling pitch and understand the competitive landscape in which my clients operate.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

I cross reference information for older companies to ensure their listings are current.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Evaluating competitors and identifying sales leads.

  ### 9. Solid resource to build company lists

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** creighton w. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

I like the filters Crunchbase provides to help build/map territories and discover new companies. There are many options to filter companies by industry and you can get pretty granualr with the company / industry filters.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

The contact feature is lacking, if you use LinkedIn Sales Navigator there is no need to use Crunchbases option.

I would like to see some added value that Linkedin Sales Navigator does not already provide.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm an AE that sells to CPG companies and has an assigned geographic territory at the state level. I need additional resources to help identify new businesses. Crunchbase helps me identify companies that are a good fit for my product that I may not find elsewhere. It saves time by providing a target list of companies based on my required needs.

  ### 10. Great to find financial information.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tara F. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

Crunch base allows me to find important venture capital and investment information that I need for my job. I like how you can search for who just closed certain rounds of funding as well.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

Sometimes it doesn't have the information I need, like sometimes it won't list the round or amount of money invested, but I can find that information elsewhere (like another database or through press/social media)

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing me to figure out what stage companies are at through investments. This is important with my job since it allows me to determine which companies I want to reach out to.

  ### 11. Crunchbase Pro has been beneficial for sales and research

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Humaira K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

Easy filtering, lots of data on companies globally.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

I don't like that you can't have access to more than 1000 leads or can't keep track of duplicates when generating lists of companies.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company serves markets globally so it helps to easily filter companies by location, funding information, and find out the validity of an organization with the data it provides. It is helping generate large sales lists and also research markets and verify users based on their employment that ca be verified on crunchbase.

  ### 12. Crunchbase definitely has no concurrence.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marwane T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

I love that it helps me find new companies to send cold mails to in order to have new clients. There are a ton of filters you can use in order to find the exact type of company you want to find.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

I don't have anything specific to say about what I dislike with Crunchbase, apart from the fact that $29 / month might be quite a high price from my point of view.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a content creator / influencer, Crunchbase helps me to find new companies to work with and partner with that are in the same niche as I am, so that I can both help my audience by letting them find new useful websites / apps I found through crunchbase, and it also helps me because I'll get paid sponsorships with companies.

  ### 13. Extremely valuable resource

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara R. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

I'm a recruiter who works with early-stage tech startups to hire their early go-to-market teams. I rely heavily on Crunchbase to gain intel on companies in the space.

I build lead lists of competitors to "poach" from, and I also use it to find startups within my niche to market my services to.

I always recommend that candidates leverage Crunchbase to narrow their job search.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

I wish that there were a way to look up company growth. Headcount growth would probably be the easiest to pull, but if they were able to show estimated ARR growth, that would be even more valuable. Since I'm researching private companies, that's probably not an easy task.

I'd also love to be able to look up a company's ACV.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has the best information about VC funding.

  ### 14. Contacts Galore!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marty M. | Voice Over Professional, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

Finding the titles and personal email addresses for contacts within a company that I'm targeting for marketing purposes.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

I wish there were more monthly contacts with each subscription tier.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crunchbase if providing me with personal email addresses of contacts with whom I'd like to get in touch for the purpose of marketing my services. It benefits me because this is better than having a generic "info@" email address for companies.

  ### 15. Amazing Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madhusudan S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

Great resource for finding detailed information about companies and their executives. It's comprehensive and user-friendly, with easy-to-navigate menus and search functions. It also provides a wealth of information about company funding, acquisitions, and investors, which is incredibly useful when understanding the industry better.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

For some of the companies, detailed funding information is not available.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crunchbase is solving the problem of providing comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date information on companies, their founders and investors, and the market trends that affect them. This benefits users by providing them with a wealth of knowledge in one place, allowing them to make more informed decisions and stay on top of the latest developments in the business world. Additionally, Crunchbase can help identify potential partners, customers and investors, allowing businesses to grow and expand.

  ### 16. Fantastic Platform that is foundational for our Account Based Sales Playbook

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carl F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

+ easy to navigate
+ Most updated funding information of any platform I have found
+ Integrates with HubSpot
+ Granular filtering, so you can build good lists

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

+ No deal breakers. the UI is a bit cluttered, and I don't find the "home screen" to be very helpful
+ Be awesome if they had a sync with Sales Nav
+ You can only export 1k records at a time, and there is no way to know which ones you exported.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to build a pipeline effectively, which requires good account lists. The list is THE strategy. The most important part. You can't do anything ABM or ABS if you don't have a good list.

  ### 17. Reliablity an issue for crunchbase

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhinav S. | Associate, Research, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

Crunchbase platform perfectly covers private companies. It is a go to platform when the data is not available on other sources for private companies

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

Data reliability is one of the significant issues that we face on Crunchbase. Crunchbase needs to verify the data before making it available to the end users

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Crunchbase helps in identifying private companies. Additionally, Crunchbase also provides the data bifurcation through basic filters.

  ### 18. A need for any sales professional in the tech industry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jishan A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

If you would like to be in the know about anything related to tech, Crunchbase is the solution for you. They send you newsletters every other day related to your searches and recommended companies that might be useful to you.

I use it daily to find new companies that I would like to reach out to and all other important information like funding news, expansions, new hires, etc.

All in all, a great platform that's a must-have for any tech sales professional.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

There is nothing inferior that I have experienced so far that requires a "what I don't like" write-up.

The only enhancement I can think of is including more companies currently not in the Crunchbase database. This would relate to startups in operation but never made a profile.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me look up companies in my ICP or target personas. It's recommendation feature is really helpful too because I ran into great companies that I may have missed during my initial prospecting.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

The technology page is a list of technologies the company uses to make their website not the actual company's tech stack. Would be better to either rename this or list their tech.
Add number of employees not just the ones that have a Crunchbase profile.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Financing details
Investor information
Succinct product description
Links to recent news about the company
Sometimes I am more productive but sometimes I find myself getting lost in details

Crunchbase has probably by far the best data about startups and new companies, but surprisingly good data about established corporates as well.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

It would be great if Crunchbase had a better contact info offering, it would make it easier to just do the full prospecting cycle on the Crunchbase platform instead of having to use multiple tools.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Crunchbase to create lists of active / interesting companies in our target verticals. Crunchbase is very useful in that we can see which companies are growing, raising funding etc.

Provides good data for the most part. Really like the monthly visits to the website, funding rounds and number of rounds which is great for my role. I use it for my territory planning and account research on a weekly basis.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

Wish it had better data around number of empliyees and contacts and their information so we wouldn't have to go through multiple websites and tolls to do ur job.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Limuel M. | Database Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

Using Crunchbase, I can rapidly grasp the framework, funding, and essential personnel involved in rival tech startups. It also enables you to bookmark firms for convenient access later on.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

Crunchbase follows a free payment system, but the price increase is quite significant once you decide to move from the free version to a paid one. It would be more desirable if you could make monthly payments instead of yearly ones and if there was a less expensive entry-level option for startups in their initial stages.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Market Research - can provide market data on various industries, including competitor analysis, industry trends, and market size.
Sales Intelligence - can provide information on companies funding, leadership, and other key metrics, making it a valuable tool for sales teams looking to identify new business opportunities.

  ### 26. Great user interface, very simple to use, lots of awesome pre made lists and love the builder!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie B. | Sales Enablement, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

The builder is great to create lists for our sales teams as well as markeing dept.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

The company tagging is not always fantasic, you can be searing for gaming companyes but end up with retail etc, it needs to refinment for sure!

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to build out lists for our sales team to turn into prospects and then leads.

  ### 27. Definitive wiki for startup and tech company info

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

Clear, easy formatting with quite comprehensive data, especially around funding.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

LinkedIn information often isn't up-to-date

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sourcing leads, getting a basic understanding of who you're speaking with, and the starting point for market research to understand stage, competitors, and investors.

  ### 28. Great tool for identifying funding trends

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meryl M. | Head Of Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Crunchbase?**

Great for monitoring industry trends, specifically for evaluating competitors in a space. Great for getting a quick understanding of top competitors getting funding, different stages of fundraising etc.

**What do you dislike about Crunchbase?**

Pricing model a little bit frustrating with annual billing. Started with free trial because typically using for one-off market research projects but quickly hit a paywall. Because using for ad-hoc projects, would prefer a billing model that allowed for single month subscriptions.

**What problems is Crunchbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used to identify competitors in an industry raising capital and stage what stage of capital. Helpful both for understanding funding for known competitors and for identifying 'up and coming' companies to watch.

  ### 29. Crunchbase - The go to destination for discovering innovative companies
