I'm currently on a Crunchbase Pro subscription as opposed to a business plan, so I don't get access to things like their predictive scores. I also wish that I had easier access to or could more deeply integrate what data I get from Crunchbase to kick off my other workflows. I use it frequently for research, outreach, and staying on top of industry updates, and the number of features (like advanced filters, custom alerts, and saved lists) really add value. It also integrates nicely with my workflow, so it never feels like an extra tool I have to manage, it just fits right in. One of the biggest challenges I’ve always had as a business owner is finding reliable, up-to-date information on companies, competitors, and potential partners. Before Crunchbase, I was bouncing between LinkedIn, Google searches, and random news articles just to piece together a basic profile on a company and even then, it felt incomplete. Crunchbase solves that problem by giving me a single platform where I can see everything I need: company details, funding history, leadership, and even signals on how the business is growing. I also have all of my own companies listed there, which adds a layer of visibility and credibility that helps when people are researching us. The benefit for me has been huge I save hours of research time, I can spot market opportunities much faster, and I feel more confident when reaching out to decision-makers because I already know the context. On top of that, it’s become part of my daily workflow: whether I’m exploring partnerships, planning strategy, or just keeping an eye on industry trends, Crunchbase is the tool I keep coming back to. It's one thing to look at growth score and heat score, but I wanna know, like, how teams have scaled. For example, how many people are in engineering, customer success, HR, and operations at a company over time? What is the total growth of employees over time? It is important to evaluate additional resources such as Pitchbook and CB Insights, to discover the data and information that I am not able to readily access with Crunchbase. The information in the database is not always as comprehensive or recent as I would like it to be, and hence I need to access alternate sources to verify and/or supplement at times.
