Often happened when extracting multiple years of data. There were some hick ups setting up the connecting for QB desktop, which the Crunchafi team were very flexible and helped the client figure out timely. I think it could be even better is some files such as AR agings etc. could have a raw data file such as a AR listing as of year end etc so it is easier to utilize the file and tie out to the trial balance. **What problems is Crunchafi Data Extraction (formerly Strongbox) solving and how is that benefiting you?** It it saving time to clean up files that clients provide that are not usable right away that require clean up. Also saves time communicating to the client what kind of file we are looking for and when we would like to obtain it. It works with many small- and middle- market firms' accounting software. It is easy to use and data generated is clean. It pulls data quickly and accurately. **What do you dislike about Crunchafi Data Extraction (formerly Strongbox)?** The aging reports sometimes have unapplied credits as plugs which do not appear on the accounting software's reports. Instead of going back and forth with clients asking for trial balances, GL detail, and financial statements, Strongbox connects directly to their accounting software and pulls everything in a clean, standardized format. It cuts out a lot of the manual work on the front end of an engagement, which is huge when you're working on multiple deals at once. The output is easy to work with and gets you straight into the analysis instead of spending hours just organizing data. **What do you dislike about Crunchafi Data Extraction (formerly Strongbox)?** There are times where the data comes in and the account mapping isn't quite right, so you still end up spending time cleaning things up before you can actually use it. It allows us to be efficient in our audit work and data extraction processes. Establishing the connection with the ERP system is a real time-saver, as it only took the client about five minutes to confirm the completion of the data extraction or connection process. Once we received the client's approval, we could immediately extract the necessary information. The initial setup was pretty easy for most ERP systems and compatible, making it simple to set up and connect. **What do you dislike about Crunchafi Data Extraction (formerly Strongbox)?** I find downloading and uploading files takes a lot of time, and it can even crash Excel, giving me notifications. I've noticed that the file handling process is challenging, with large files being particularly problematic. Also, the actual output doesn't apply negative credits to the appropriate bucket, instead creating a separate one for unapplied credit, making it hard to reconcile with actual aging. Additionally, during the TB extraction, it sometimes outputs inaccurate account names, which are hard to trace back to the original chart of accounts, and we didn't escalate the issue because we were in a time crunch. **What problems is Crunchafi Data Extraction (formerly Strongbox) solving and how is that benefiting you?** Crunchafi Data Extraction makes connecting to a client’s ERP system easier and more efficient, allowing us to save time on audits and data extraction processes. ### 7. It would be much more useful if vendor concentration and spend reports also included inventory purchases.
