Having access to the creator of a software product is a rare and valuable opportunity for a customer. **What do you dislike about Cron To Go?** I have no complaints about this product at the moment. **What problems is Cron To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed a scheduling tool that alerted me to job failures and Cron To Go provides multiple options for notifications. In addition, I didn't want to keep a dyno running 24/7 just to run daily jobs. Luckily, Cron To Go runs all jobs on one-off dynos which saves me a considerable amount of money. I've used other scheduling tools in the past, but they've all been prone to failure and difficult to use. Cron To Go is the only scheduler I've implemented that I can count on to reliably execute my jobs, alert me when there is an issue, and provide the necessary resources to help me when I need it. It might be cool if there was a standalone mobile app where I could view/manually run jobs from time to time. I can't really think of anything bad about the service so this is more of a feature request. **Recommendations to others considering Cron To Go:** If you are on Heroku this is certainly the best cron interface. **What problems is Cron To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?** I need an easy interface for running crons and I didn't want to build something myself. My production app runs in a private VPC in aws but I am using Cron To Go + a tunnel to run a few recurring tasks. Before, I was using Heroku scheduler which does not expose an actual cron interface but rather lets you choose things like "run every 10 minutes" etc. Cron To Go is much more flexible because you can use actual cron syntax. You can also easily see logs and the execution history of your jobs. If something happens that I did not expect its a really easy first debugging place. ### 18. We've had 100% reliability so far. - The setup process (to make a job) is super easy. It took maybe 3 minutes to schedule 5 jobs using the editor. - It supports native CRON logic (e.g. 5 * * * *) which means there is zero learning curve if you're already familiar with CRON. - The granularity for scheduling is much more fine-grained than Heroku Scheduler. You can schedule jobs every minute, five minutes, 30 minutes, hour, day, month, etc. - The UI is real-time (it's nice to see the status of your jobs when they're actually running) and there's no delay to start/stop jobs. - The notifications alert you for failed jobs (caused by bugs in your code or platform issues with Heroku). This has saved me a couple times. - The support is amazing. The founder reached out personally to help me set everything up and has been there to answer any questions. He was really open to feedback, too. **What do you dislike about Cron To Go?** - No dislikes, but it would be great to set a threshold for notifications (e.g. alert after X jobs fail in Y minutes) . **What problems is Cron To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Cron To Go to execute command line tasks for our Python Flask web application. It was a lot easier than a complex job/task queue and has zero overhead. We run all of our billing (invoices, processing payments, etc.), trial (downgrade at end of trial, clean up unused resources, etc.), reports (weekly summary, etc.), and garbage collection (cache purging) through Cron To Go. ### 20.
