The editing function is ridiculously flawed. I have to edit clips multiple times to get one that I can share with a client. The initial edit can be perfect, but then after I save it to my Files it has changed. It's ridiculous, considering how much I pay for CM. The fact that Critical Mention dashboard is so user friendly and easy to navigate and that each account has a representative to assist with day-to-day requirements and support in times of upheaval. The first is the after-hours service, which can sometimes be difficult to get an immediate reaction to and/or from. The best way to contact the after-hours service is to call them. This can be time-consuming. Improvement is needed to responsiveness by email or online message service. The second issue is still having to vet through clippings and 'mentions'. I often opt for the Boolean search because I feel like the others are so finicky. Also, I dislike that when you have to plug in missed items to a report it doesn't populate the values. With Critical Mention, I have noticed on numerous occasions that some of our clips/mentions are missed. I am either alerted to them by Google Alerts (which we used to broadly monitor prior to on-boarding with CM), or I know that they aired because we coordinated the opportunity. There is every feature I didn't know I needed but am glad is there. From being able to filter the different media outlets to the potential time posted to changing the keywords, Critical Mention makes it so possible to search for and find a video clip that was difficult to find before! I also love that there are so many customization options, even down to renaming those on your contact list to send a video to. The analytics are comprehensive and great. It's a very easy and thorough tool to use! (Ryan McGreevy is also the best! He's such a fun, friendly, approachable, and helpful staff member! Happy that he's the one who's assigned to help us!) If there was one small room for improvement, it would be that Critical Mention could detect someone in a video and pop up that way, especially for times when the name of the person wasn't mentioned in the video clip. It's not able to pick up every video that my boss is in, but that's because it goes off of the keywords that are mentioned in the video, and that's understandable.
