Streamlined Payroll with Room for Improvement **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** JP N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026 **What do you like best about Sage HCM?** I like how quickly you can access data and how you can pull reports or prior payrolls to see trends. I also like how automated everything is, and how Sage HCM syncs to our ERP, so people aren't having to use two platforms. They can enter the time in the ERP, and Sage HCM pulls it all in, does what it needs to do, and then spits out a GL entry. This makes the payroll process quick and easy to run with less chances of human error. **What do you dislike about Sage HCM?** It doesn't handle workers' comp, especially in Canada as well as I would have liked. I feel like it's lacking in certain specific Canadian remittances. It also lacks a little bit in the year-end preps, especially if you have employees that work in multiple provinces, as it doesn't do the greatest job of splitting out their income by province. **What problems is Sage HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Sage HCM for processing timesheets and running payroll efficiently with quick calculations for overtime and union rates, reducing human error. It integrates seamlessly with Acumatica, allowing automated data syncing, making payroll processing faster and easier. ### 2. The program will hopefully do what we need it to! **What do you dislike about Sage HCM?** Alot of hiccups. I know implementing a new HR program is no easy task, but there seems to be alot of weird programming errors. **Recommendations to others considering Sage HCM:** Not everything was as custom or easy as the salesman said. Make sure 90% of this program will work out of the box. **What problems is Sage HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a new HR program.
