"Crazy Egg Review"
3.5/5
Response from Rossi Khoung of Crazy Egg

Hi Alex, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Our session recordings automatically records sessions for any new page that you are tracking as long as the tracking code is on there. As for automatically creating heatmaps, we're working on an enhancement for that where we'll automatically create heatmaps on the fly (i.e. no more manually setting up heatmaps). This feature should be available soon.

"Invaluable"
5/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

The crazy egg software is invaluable if you are serious about online marketing. You need to be able to see inside the funnel and visualise what's going on rather than making assumptions. I particularly found the videos useful when evaluating if a page is working or not. I can highly recommend it. 5 stars! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

There is nothing that I dislike about the crazy egg software at this point in time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good tool for website UX research"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

I find the visual heat maps the most useful part of Crazy Egg. It's a simple visual to help you understand where users are interacting with your website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

The biggest downside is the hassle of setting up heat maps separately for each and every page, as opposed to automatically creating heap map pages across the whole site. You have to explicitly track individual pages. A hassle, but once setup it works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rossi Khoung of Crazy Egg

Hi Tony, Thanks for taking the time to write this review. We're working on an enhancement where we'll automatically create heatmaps for you. No more manual setup soon. More to come!

"Excellent tech helpdesk! Really impressed!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

I've only scratched the surface of functionalities for Crazy Egg, but so far it's meeting my company's needs and in some ways exceeding them. The software is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive.

I also had an amazing interaction with JL Neilsen yesterday to resolve a tech issue. Not only was she incredibly kind and patient with me, she also took the time to provide me with an article regarding the issue. She even answered some of my questions that were purely curiosity. The icing on the cake is that the issue was easily resolved while we were on a Zoom together! :) Super impressed! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

I haven't found anything yet that I would categorize as clunky or convoluted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

How is it to understand at all points a customer journey on our website thanks to how well its Heatmap feature works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

I feel that A/B testing could definitely be more polished. The PageCamera feature is a bit clunky as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rossi Khoung of Crazy Egg

What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

We really enjoy the data visualizations on snapshots as both a source of information and a kind of "snackable insight" for project managers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

We've had trouble implementing snapshots on A/B tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rossi Khoung of Crazy Egg

Hi, thanks for taking the time to write this review. Snapshots are automatically created for any variant that is setup during any A/B Test. Moreover, our customer support team is a great resource to assist in this process if needed.

"Valuable Insights on User Behavior"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

The ability to map how users are interacting with our pages — where they're clicking, where they're not clicking, how far down they're scrolling — has made it so much easier for our team to evaluate the effectiveness of pages and adjust the content and design accordingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

It would be nice if the "Compare Snapshots" feature automatically selected and compared the mobile and desktop versions of a single page — rather than to have users scroll through a long list to find the page they want to compare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rossi Khoung of Crazy Egg

Hi Jason, thanks for taking the time to write this review. We've made it easier where you can compare snapshots across different device types of a single page but showing you in the list associated reports based on the URL of the page. The URL that is associated to the single page is always at the top of the list. This way you don't have to scroll through all the snapshots to find the page that you're looking for.

"Loyal Crazy Egg Customer for Over 8 Years"
5/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

The Crazy Egg interface is super easy to use, and the snapshots it generates are powerful. They provide actionable insights by showing us what's important to our users so that we can help give them more of what they want and less of what they don't. We've been using this tool for over eight years and continue to find value in it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

The main downside is that setting up snapshots is a manual process. Pages that are viewed by users aren't automatically tracked and stored, so you have to set up each page you want captured. We've had our interns work on this though, which has helped with the amount of time and effort a program manager would have to spend on setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rossi Khoung of Crazy Egg

Hi, thanks for taking the time to write this review. The process of manually setting up snapshots will be a thing of the past since we're in the process of automating this specific task with a soon-to-come enhancement to Snapshots.
