"Great support team and easy platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

The customer service team is excellent -- very responsive and attentive, which made getting started easy. The platform itself is straightforward to use and well designed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

We didn’t see as much CRO value as we had hoped, but that was likely a reflection of the specific variables we chose to test and the plan we were on. With a different setup, I can see the product delivering much stronger results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A reliable, lower cost tool for obtaining heat maps of key pages"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

Setting up heat maps on desktop, tablet, and mobile versions of pages is quick and painless. Sharing the visual reports while they are still collecting data is easy too. A/B testing is relatively easy too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

We would like to be able to schedule heat maps to run at future times on pages that are not publicly available yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super helpful education and insight about bot traffic from J.L. Neilsen"
4/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

As a UX designer I like being able to easily see how users are interacting with a web page and all of the helpful filters found in the confetti reports. The customer support is super helpful too. My company just launched a new page to our site and we where seeing some weird click patterns. I reached out to support and J.L Neilson too the time to record a video describing what bot traffic interactions look like, and provided a general insight as to what bot traffic is because I asked them to "what is bot traffic". I was able to share the video with my coworkers and stakeholders and now we're investigating which social media source is the cause of the bot traffic. Thanks again J.L Neilson. What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

I wish it integrated with google analytics. I also wish it was easier to see reports from nav menues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Long time fan: The most underrated screen recording, click tracking and A/B testing platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

It's super capable platform for click tracking, snapshots, session recording & now A/B testing and all way way way more affordable.

Their service is 2nd to none, I use heaps of marketing tech platforms and Crazy Egg reply within minutes or hours at worst, with very tangible, practical support, fix bugs, etc like nothing else.

I've used Crazy Egg on and off for about 15 years, their product's only improved and they haven't jacked up the price like all others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

It's silly, but the branding & name doesn't really represent the quality/integrity of this product. Others have trend/fancy marketing, which my clients love and opt for, but really this product is better.

There are some quirky interface moments, and the A/B testing platform has some minor limitations but we easily work around them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great platform with useful features. Highly recommend to all marketing professionals."
5/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

I've been using Crazy Egg for the past few months, and it's truly transformed the way I analyze user behavior on our website. The platform's heat maps are incredibly intuitive and provide a clear visual representation of where users are clicking, scrolling, and spending their time.

The user interface is easy to navigate, making it straightforward to analyze heat maps. I particularly appreciate the real-time data updates, which allow us to make swift, data-driven decisions. Additionally, the insights gained from the heat maps have been invaluable in optimizing our site’s layout and improving overall user experience.

Customer support has been top-notch, with responsive and knowledgeable staff who are always ready to assist with any questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

While Crazy Egg is great for visualizing user behavior, it lacks some of the advanced analytics and segmentation features offered by more comprehensive tools like Google Analytics. However, as we're a healthcare entity, it works perfectly for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not great..."
1/5
What do you like best about Crazy Egg?

The service is easy to set up and get going, especially on Wordpress where they have a plugin available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Crazy Egg?

I signed up for a trial with Crazy Egg yesterday, and now I'm getting bombarded with emails from contact@crazyegg.com. I'm not kidding—I’ve received over 1,200 emails in the last 24 hours. Plus, Crazy Egg messed up our website search when we ran their A/B test service. I get it; our setup is complicated, and these things happen. But I reached out to their support team and haven't heard back.

I also contacted them about the email spam issue and got a reply from JL, who didn't apologize but asked for an example of the email. That was the last I heard from them. Since I can't deal with this constant stream of emails, I'll have to cancel the service and set up a spam filter to stop the bombardment.

I'm surprised by the absurdity of this problem and the lack of customer care, especially since Crazy Egg is co-owned by Neil Patel, a well-known figure in SEO. You'd think they would pay more attention to their customer service. Getting spammed by an established company that's been around for almost 20 years is something you'd expect from a startup, not them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
