I loved that I could backup my data to a friends in another state and they could do the same to mine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about CrashPlan SMB? There was really nothing I didn't like it did a great job. I was able to retrieve older versions of files and data from machines that were no longer in service very easily. When they eliminated the peer to peer backups we stopped using the product and found another solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Does this mean they couldn't handle the load, or were only focused on the business segment? Were the end users taxing their systems in such a way that they could not keep up? You can use multiple locations, including their servers for backing up. You can backup to your own desktops or even servers. You can even backup, encrypted, to a friend's computer. While everything else is amazing, the application itself (the client) is a completely horrible Java software that eats up way too much RAM, is ugly and slow. It's also extremely hard to use if you need to backup a lot of data. An end-user should never have to open a console in an application to increase it's virtual memory limits. But here you do. Crashplan has a great "set it and forget it" feature with it. Simply install the program, have it back up an user's profile and go on about your days until you need it again.
