This integrated data management solution was impressive. All enterprise data backup activity statistics could be easily viewed in a dashboard. An administrator gets an overview of all users’ backups and has granular control of what gets backed up and what must be restored. The sophisticated behind-the-scenes data backup and restore capability is matched by a simple-to-use interface. **What do you dislike about CrashPlan Platform?** Initially, data restores were a bit slow at times – the only dampener in our product experience so far which was resolved promptly by support. No other aspects of the product have caused any concerns. The trust in Parablu’s service team has assured that even if issues do arise going forward, they would be easily resolved. **What problems is CrashPlan Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Earlier, our team relied on batch file scripts to back up files to a single internal NAS storage drive – a risky approach considering a single crash of the instance would have deemed the data irrecoverable. Data backup monitoring from a single console and no additional storage costs were the determining factors of our BluVault purchase decision. We then opted for an On-Premises data management solution, but the pandemic breakout triggered a shift to a virtual work environment that required remote data access. This was the biggest advantage – it completely eliminated the need for investing in additional storage. • Unlike the standard OneDrive offering from Microsoft, where users can easily tamper with or delete data in the cloud – Parablu’s solution keeps the backed-up data immutable. While our users can download or recover their files when needed, they can’t delete the backups or tamper with them. • Excellent support – the tech support team at Parablu always takes time to understand the issue, examines possibilities and suggests the right approach to take. **What do you dislike about CrashPlan Platform?** We do not have any complaints about the solutions. It works as it is intended to and we are quite happy with our decision to implement BluVault. **What problems is CrashPlan Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were already using a backup solution from a leading data protection vendor where we had to manage the infrastructure in a co-located data center. We were facing several challenges which needed to be urgently addressed. • With a huge portion of their workforce away from the office – either at construction sites or working from home due to the pandemic, we found several instances when backups were not complete or had simply failed. With rising cyberattack incidents, it was important for us to address these problems head-on. • Most of our employees use more than one device for their daily business operations and the device-based model of licensing not only ended up inflating our expenses but also hindered the monitoring and tracking of business devices. • With our previous solution, we were also paying for backup storage. With an ever-increasing data footprint, we were foreseeing a higher and higher storage bill each year. We needed a space (and cost) optimized solution. After implementing BluVault, we’ve had several instances where it has helped us recover data after malicious deletion by insiders. At first I thought that all that data encryption would imply a difficult handling of its interface for less experienced people in the area of ​​cloud storage. However, quite the contrary, because besides being very safe, its handling is very easy and very intuitive. You can work easily with your work team. With respect to its competitors, BluSync stands out because it can perform an auditable tracking of all the activities that take place in the cloud and thus have a better visible control of how the content collaboration is carried out. Also with the help of "mini-clouds" allows collaborative work by department or team. **What do you dislike about CrashPlan Platform?** there is nothing that I dislike of his performance. It is very fluid and offers a very high security. However, security translates into a high investment cost for very small companies.
