I do not dislike anything in it as of now despite using it for 3 years.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana R. | Senior Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2020

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

cPanel is a software that offers many advantages in web development. For example, you have a file manager where you can delete, download or add files. It is also possible to create and manage databases (usually includes phpMyAdmin and sometimes PostgreSQL). Another feature that I like is that you can generate backups of the entire account.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

In general, the server statistics indicators do not work correctly, so it should not be trusted.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

cPanel is very popular software and is known to all web developers. Of course I would recommend it, as it would greatly facilitate the administration of a website.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generally cPanel is a tool to simplify the task of managing the files, databases, and backups of your website. This software has avoided me headaches when websites have errors, since cPanel automatically generates backup copies of all files and allows you to easily restore them.

  ### 3. Hosting framework with hassless options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Balamurugan S. | Content Writer | Branding | Vendor Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2020

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

The best part of C Panel is the user interface and one click option to each demands for developer. Precisely, options to add domain, access file manager, phpmyadmin directory and oneclik installation of CMS packages. Also the clutter less Ui is a unique part that you can't find in DA panel or Plesk.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

CPanel has everything a developer needs. At the same time, there are bugs that irritate users sometimes, especially while switching between options. Above all, the more than cons, it has pros that many framework lacks today.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

I would be happy if Chanel would add security features such as Otp mechanisms and customisation facility.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through CPanel, I solved the demand of launching websites and accessing the controls of features associated with website. Above all, C panel solved my major demand of living website.

  ### 4. Simplest and easy to use tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak S. | Founder and CEO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

The best thing about Cpanel is, its very easy to use and self-explanatory, you don't have to go through the guide/help section for simple functions, like email creation, dB creation/handling, it even provided SEO guide using attracta website to start with, I have been using it since 3yrs+ now. Also, the Email management part is awesome as it has simple UI and the best functionality I loved it the strong password generation while creating emails.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

The only complex thing in Cpanel is the SSL certificate installation part, I hate it whenever it comes to linking an SSL certificate to a domain. The team needs to think about the process to make it a bit simple to use as it takes a lot of time to install and every time has to make a call to support team.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

If you want to simplify your server hosting and management service your first choice should be Cpanel, as its simple to use and self-explanatory.
You will also get a variety of CMS available with one tap install option and there is section of SEO and Marketing tools for beginners too.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solved the hosting of my clients who are currently using Cpanel and also who wants to shift to Cpanel.
I have also solved issue of email filter using Cpanel for our clients.
One thing clients liked is the GUI of the Cpanel and its ease to use as compared to their old once.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guillermo T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2020

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

I like cPanel because it allows me to manage the files on my website, I can even modify the code or change the permissions for the different files. A trash can is also available, in case I accidentally delete any files. Another feature that I like is that it has a tool, to be able to manage the additional domains, so that I can separate the folders on the disk. Your Webmail service allows me to manage my email accounts and offers support on how to associate my corporate email with Outlook or Gmail. On the other hand, I find their tools to measure bandwidth consumption or disk space very useful, so that the server always has optimal performance.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

The latest stable version of cPanel was released just over 3 years ago, so it may have incompatibility with apps that have been updated recently. Also, the user interface does not have a modern look, making some users difficult to find tools.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

If you are looking to purchase a hosting service, make sure it includes cPanel. Although it is a software that has not been updated for a while, it is still really important when it comes to managing a web server.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

cPanel includes all the necessary tools to have full control of your web hosting. It allows me to easily manage the database, as well as the files stored on disk. It is also possible to manage email accounts. The biggest benefit is being able to manage server resources, such as disk space and bandwidth.

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

cPanel is a wonderful tool. The administration of a web server through the user interface is intuitive. I like it because it has all the tools sorted by section, so I can find them easily.

It has a wizard for databases, to add new databases, add users or grant permissions.

I also like it because it includes the Softaculous platform, which allows Joomla or webERP applications to be installed automatically, without the need for manual implementations.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

What I dislike about cPanel is that its tools to count the users that enter the domain are not very effective.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

I recommend always using cPanel to manage your hosting. Its functionalities will not be found on any other platform. It is easy to use and saves time on various tasks you perform on your website.

  ### 10. WHM for small business owners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek B. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2020

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

Easy to manage multiple c-panel installations.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

That some internet hosts do not provide a license due to the last price increase. I also have trouble with the Two-Factor Authentication, which sometimes fails for no reason. This could be due to my own system settings, but I am unable to confirm at this time.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multiple websites is made very simple by being able to access them all from a single panel. This has increased my productivity, by not requiring me to jump between sites manually, often re-entering login details. It also provides simple solutions to manage email with Exim and often provides additional software for quick installations of Wordpress and top CMSs. WHM also makes it very easy to redirect and park domain names for later use by myself or my clients. Being able to quickly see what users are over-quota is potentially my favorite feature, along with being able to mitigate resources to fix the issue very quickly. This is an all-around great tool for web hosting that I would be lost without.

  ### 11. Managing a website was not such a simple task until I discovered cPanel.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jackeline A. | Desarrollador Web, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2020

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

cPanel is the best software for managing web hosting. It has a very useful dashboard with essential information such as disk usage or bandwidth consumption. It comes integrated with JetBackup to automate backups for both files and databases. I think it's great that it includes Softaculous, to install applications like WordPress or Chamilo.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

The interface design does not support the resolution of mobile devices, so it is an impossible task to make modifications on mobile browsers.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

cPanel is a tool that facilitates website management. Most web hosting providers offer this software in their plans, so it has a lot of information online. In my opinion, it is robust and has a large number of applications that will help you improve your website.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool helps me manage my employer's website. It has provided me with benefits such as:

File management

Version control through Git

Backup assistant

Upload files via FTP

Database assistant

Email management with WebMail

Website visitor tracking

Recent error console

Resource usage meter

DNS monitoring tool

Softaculous application installer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsea H. | Marketing Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

I can assure you that cPanel is one of the best control panels that exist, because it has a very easy-to-use interface that everyone already knows, it is unique, especially because it is very easy to add domains and create email accounts, and it has everything in One place, very intuitive, so it is easy to use and manage, it is rich in functions, everything is on the board, it is the control panel with more functions for web hosting environments. I can easily integrate WordPress without complications, manage files, I have access to phpMyAdmin, with just one click, it is excellent.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

What I do not like is that it is generally not compatible with Gmail and other providers, but it is not a serious inconvenience, on the other hand, I have noticed that it has some limitations in the user interface, of course, it all depends on the hosting provider , also that they usually have updates constantly and give some problems, so it would be good if they are going to update, do it well and not make mistakes in the future.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

It is easy to use and that is the important thing, try it, it is the best control panel to manage your website, I know you will love it.

  ### 15. Manage all web and hosting aspects of a company from a single, powerful, multiuser web panel

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dario O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

cPanel easily allows you to perform all the necessary and imaginable operations that would require a myriad of commands on different types of machines and software from a single responsive web panel, which is very easy to use even for those who are not experts in the IT sector or in the specific application categories of all the features that cPanel contains. My use of it is for creating FTP and SFTP accounts with and without specific permissions and advanced authentication methods like pubkey auth (with a private key that can be generated directly from cPanel) and in managing the individual inboxes of my domain with a particular focus on user quotas and spam filtering criteria. In this regard, I find the native integration between cPanel and Apache SpamAssassin truly efficient and functional.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

The application has many features, and as for people who are not IT experts, inexperienced developers, and new users, they may have difficulty navigating through the offered features. Creating databases and connecting with authorized users is quite complex and also tedious.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

cPanel has been very useful for navigating through all the features of my web hosting account. I can understand which different features are based on where they are located and the other elements grouped with them. I am able to access different features in my web hosting account and then quickly return to other features by going to the main cPanel portal. cPanel allows me to let someone else manage the account without too much confusion. I can just tell them which section to go to and then guide them through the basic steps quite easily.

  ### 16. Perfect Hosting business with cPanel

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pradeep L. | Server Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

Main help full thing in cpanel is that it's performance is amazing even use multiple plugins and accounts.

In expansion, the best advantage that cPanel brings is that assists clients with sparing a ton of time in facilitating the executives. Previously, when there was no cPanel, clients needed to oversee facilitating dependent on direction lines, very tedious just as expecting clients to have a specialist in the field of PCs. In any case, presently, with cPanel, even an ordinary client can control and oversee site and facilitating effectively.

In addition, as of now cPanel is a renowned brand in the field of facilitating the executives, it is trusted by numerous associations on the planet, the security of cPanel is likewise exceptionally high, helping clients have a sense of safety to use without stressing over anything.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

As i am using cpanel from last 5 years as i not found any problems and any disadvantages or any issue with that. So i think that from my prospective there is no dislike from my side.

What's more, in the event that you are only a newcomer to facilitating the board, the huge number of highlights that cPanel offers can make you mistook just because.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

When all is said in done, cPanel is as yet a generally excellent web hosting Panel in facilitating the board. I unequivocally put stock in cPanel and energize any individual who needs facilitating administration to try it out. It meets practically 100% of my every day needs

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problems i solve with cpanel is that we can use plugins i just like more this and love too. As also it helps so much like example there is let's encrypt plugin. Many difficult task should be easily done my plugins

  ### 17. Good when it wants to be

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2020

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

Not sure if I like anything about CP. It literally aches me navigating the menus, and without technical knowledge you'll probably break something. The login is spunky, but that's just about it. Part of my job is managing "corporate" email accounts and cpanel doesn't make it fun, I feel like visiting a webpage to do X will break Y if you try to visit Y before completing a Z action. A big 'old roundabout. Eugh.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

Can't login to cpanel from bluehost, have to visit my bluehost webmail URL directly to login. The options for mailbox types are only two, both look hideous and gives me an eye sore. You must have used another email service in the past for a long time to know where to find settings and set your custom options. Always ask for default inbox type even though mine is already set. Anti-spam is weak, MS Outlook is much better. I could literally roast this program all day. I get that it comes with cpanel/bluehost but there is NOTHING advanced about it. I've come to appreciate Gmail and Outlook more now after having to face cpanel and cpanel webmail.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

LOL. Don't.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing client site, checking webmail accounts. I avoid it for anything else.

  ### 18. Best Linux-based Web Hosting Control Panel

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randall G. | Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

What I like most about cPanel is its intuitive, neatly organized interface that makes it very easy for users to use even if it's your first time interacting with cPanel.

In addition, the greatest benefit that cPanel brings is that helps users save a lot of time in hosting management. In the past, when there was no cPanel, users had to manage hosting based on command lines, very time consuming as well as requiring users to have an expert in the field of computers. But now, with cPanel, even a normal user can control and manage website and hosting easily.

Besides, currently cPanel is a famous brand in the field of hosting management, it is trusted by many organizations in the world, the security of cPanel is also very high, helping customers feel secure to use without having to worry about anything.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

I do not like most about cPanel because its price is quite expensive for small businesses or startup businesses.

In addition, if you are just a newcomer to hosting management, the large number of features that cPanel offers can make you confused for the first time.

As mentioned above, cPanel is very easy to use, but also requires users to have a certain knowledge about hosting as well as the server, because a single mistake can make your website no longer work.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

In general, cPanel is still a very good tool in hosting management. I strongly believe in cPanel and encourage anyone who needs hosting management to give it a try. It meets almost 100% of my daily needs

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use cPanel to manage some hosting for my websites. It saves me a lot of time and effort in hosting management. cPanel offers a lot of great features, making it possible for me to edit almost anything I want.

  ### 19. “cPanel – Secure Site Management”

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus J. | System Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

I like using cPanel because it is user friendly, well-structured and highly responsive in web hosting. Also, I like using cPanel because it makes site management easy and more secure. The other important aspect of cPanel is that it is easy to create autoresponders, mail accounts, and forwarders. In simple terms, email management is made easier by cPanel. In addition, cPanel enhances site security since it has an IP blocker option, this curbs issues of site hacking.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

Mentioning the dark sides of cPanel is not an easy task for me. However, the web hosting software has some disappointing features that clients or administrators face. The need to first look for consent inconveniences administrators when they want to access all their account files. The other letdown of cPanel is its easy target by hackers and other attackers. Also, its cost is more compared to the charges done by competitors.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

Although cPanel has some drawbacks, its upsides are more. Therefore, go for cPanel since it is easy to install, user friendly, well structured, and has a friendly user interface. On top of that, site monitoring and site security is easily done in cPanel.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company, DoMyClassWork has 28 employees. cPanel has helped us in creating emails to all employees with company domain and thus management of emails is made easy. Also, the good structure of cPanel has been very responsive and friendly to our employees. Our system managers find it very easy to monitor and reinforce site security using IP blocker that is installed in cPanel. Last, cPanel’s interface has enhanced our site/company control.

  ### 20. I would be confused without the existence of cPanel

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas R. | Web Content Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

cPanel makes it much easier for me to manage all of the settings and services connected to my hosting accounts. I like the way the sections are organized since I'm not always sure what tools are related. The interface, fields and buttons related to each service are often easy to understand how to use. There are instructions that are placed next to each tool that makes it almost error-free to figure out what the tool is for and how to do things like adding or deleting items.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

I think the organizational possibilities are limited with the cPanel interface. Loading the cPanel page in a mobile device or smaller computer screen isn't as easy to use. If there could be more interfaces to choose from and ways to stack and prioritize various tools, so that we can focus more on the ones we use most, that might make it better for me.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

cPanel is used in many web hosting plans, so you'll likely encounter it if you use a popular web hosting company. If you don't currently use it, I'd recommend asking your web host for the option to install it.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use cPanel to access the services and settings in my web hosting accounts. The titles and labels of the various tools and configuration options make it easy to add several people to the account to at least make standard updates. We can add email addresses, FTP accounts, new domain names, which are big part of the maintenance of our website, user management and marketing campaigns. We also use it to access our MySQL databases.

  ### 21. cPanel, the best web host management tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diana m. | MARKETING MANAGER, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

The user interface is quite easy to use and navigate even for people who do not have information technology background. This allows me to manage the marketing activities of my company because it is quite easy to update the company web pages using this amazing web host manager. The website builder feature provided is very useful and it has helped me to improve the appearance of our web site and this has helped to attract more clients. The cpanel enables me to manage email accounts as i am able to create and delete email addresses for my employees whenever there is need to do so. The cpanel has been quite useful when it comes to managing domains and files and also to update more products and services which my company offers. The features offered by cpanel are numerous and are quite useful when it comes to managing websites.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

The application has a lot of features and as for people who are not IT experts and inexperienced developers and new users may have challenges navigating among the features offered. Creating databases and linking it with the authorized users is quite complex and also tedious.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

I recommend the application to any body or company that wants a platform to host and manage its website effectively.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The application has enabled me to manage my website effectively and be able to update the products and services offered by our company. The application has some features which are easy to use even for inexperienced web developers.

  ### 22. cPanel gives us complete control over all aspects of our web hosting accounts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sofia T. | Senior Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

The organized layout and many hosting account tools in cPanel are great for us to quickly access and execute any given account task quickly. I like the graphic icons, which help us identify the sections and tools more easily. The icons are especially helpful for those who are newer to website management. Having a user-friendly interface like cPanel does makes it easier to manage things like FTP accounts, email accounts and several other accounts within the hosting account.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

Though I'm okay with the general design and layout of cPanel, it would be nice to be able to move some of the grid elements around to better suit our organizational needs. It would be good if we could maybe delete certain sections or items within each section so that we can have less clutter in the main cPanel layout.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

I think most of the better web hosting plans nowadays have cPanel. If a hosting account doesn't have it, or something similar to it, I would strongly consider using a different web host. I'm sure there are other management interfaces that are good, but I am happy with using cPanel and I think most people would be helped by using it as well.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

cPanel has been very helpful for me to navigate through all of the features in my web hosting account. I can understand what different features are based on where they're located and the other items grouped with them. I'm able to access different features in my web hosting account and then quickly go back to other features by going to the main cPanel portal. cPanel allows me to let someone else go in to manage the account without much confusion. I can just tell them which section to go to and then walk them through the basic steps pretty easily.

  ### 23. Web Management Simplified!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Violet B. | Senior Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

cPanel simplifies my web management task. Everything is presented in the Dashboard. I can easily navigate what I need to access and do. Whether I'd like to check or create emails, or edit or check phpmyadmin, upload files through File Manager or FTP, manage SSL certificates, or check website statistics.

cPanel can also be integrated with Softaculous, a tool which allows to install website scripts, from CMS to micro blogging scripts, in just one click.

It can also be integrated with SEO tools and Security tools.

Basically, everything I do manually, typing every command on a linux server, I can do it in just 1 click with cPanel.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

cPanel is perfect for my needs. There is nothing which I do not like about the product, at the moment.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

cPanel is the most feature riched Web Management Tool.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily access web management tools and features on one central panel.

  ### 24. The Best Web Management Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guiying Y. | Marketing Manager, Automotive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

cPanel is the best Web Management Platform, as it is the most full featured GUI for web. It is the most popular, and being popular means, many users uses it. Because many users uses it, it is for sure that cPanel has been receiving a lot of bug reports which updates it frequently.

cPanel can handle almost anything a website needs, using third party and built in features. It can handle phpmyadmin, emails, ssl, ftp, and so on.

With cPanel, you can have a dashboard which you can open on any browser. This makes everything on your website edit settings easily rather than doing it thru taskful command lines.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

cPanel recently abolished their unlimited cpanel accounts, which makes it really pricey now.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

If you don't mind paying a couple of bucks, better go straight ahead and use cPanel, rather than testing less featured alternatives such VestaCP and Directadmin.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier hosting management.

  ### 26. CPANEL is now very expensive

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

The Cpanel is the most usable Control Panel in the industry and it is mostly easy to use for our clients and it also provides us much convenient server management but it has no security feature and we have to buy cloudlinux separately for the cagefs services so I do not like why to pay for cpanel if no client isolation is available . Cpanel has builtin reseller panel for resellers so I can resell the servers to many clients. The client can start his own webhosting company from reseller and can do his own business without any fear or loss of investmenet and completely white labeled

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

The Cpanel increased the prices too much and started charging on basis of the number of account which is so painful and expensive to webhosting companies like us so it urged us to move from cpanel to anyother platform so I moved the CWP pro platform and cwppro only cost me $12 per year and give me same type of control panel

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

I do not recommend the CPANEL

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The cpanel was much easier to use for my users and webdevs so I liked that as it provides filemanges and other things

  ### 27. Great hosting dashboard, sadly being strangled by its new investment fund owners.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew L. | Online Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

Everything! I've been using cPanel based hosting for my whole career and, once you add a modern skin to it, it's ideal and easy to use. Hosting providers have found ways to customise it and features of their own, technology's like Let's Encrypt's free SSL solutions have been easily integrated. It's a wonderful catch all and expandable solution to manage everything from hosting - from quick software installs via Fantastico and Softaculous to managing more complex things like DNS/MX records or jumping into a SQL database for some manual alterations. cPanel has really managed it all over the years.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

In 2019 cPanel was bought by an investment firm, Oakley Capital. They proceeded to massively increase the price that they charge hosting companies for each installation of cPanel - it can work out to a 1000% prise rise. So far the hosts I used have absorbed this cost but it's not sustainable. Other hosts like SiteGround have dumped cPanel are going to the effort of creating their own proprietary hosting dashboards from scratch - a noble goal but one that will create fragmentation and make it harder just to easily migrate hosting by moving a whole cPanel backup.

Forget Plesk as an alternative, the same price gouging investment company owns them too. It would be great to see hosts worldwide pool their resources and move to a "Linus organisation style" free and open source alternative. Some already exist but the don't have sufficient weight behind them to take them to the next level.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

Previously I would always recommend cPanel based hosting, however with the 1000% price hike placed on hosting providers, that cost will either be passed on or providers will switch to other hosting dashboard software or, like Siteground, create their own.

To those considering cPanel since it was taken over in 2019 by Oakley Capital, I say that you should no longer consider it the deciding factor when picking hosting.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can't remember a time before cPanel! I'm quite sure that I've been using it for my whole career and I've always looked for web hosting that has cPanel support. Sadly that now has to change.

  ### 28. Cpanel for your web tools

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Handes S. | System Engineer, Consumer Goods, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2019

I have no complaints about cpanel, if it is a bit heavy at times and has so many tools that you sometimes get lost, but it is easy to work and get used to your graphic environment.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

I recommend everyone to use this tool, it will make your life and things much easier as you know them in the world of web development, you can link it with any other application and thus maximize functionality much more.

  ### 29. cPanel, everything I need to host my website!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria M. | developer web, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

I like the cPanel structure, the classification by categories of everything I need to manage the resources offered by my hosting, according to the required plan. With an interface that is friendly, intuitive, easy to use and manage, and with a search engine for quick location of what we need to do, classified by categories: files, database, billing and support, domains, emails, metrics, security, software, advanced, preferences, sitepad website builder - theme, apps installer and applications. Each of these categories has its particular functions. They are also shown in icons that make the Control Panel more attractive. It also offers excellent technical support, user attention, and immediate response.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

I still do not complain, perhaps the main limitation is my lack of knowledge in some functions, which makes me not understand what to do. But the rest has gone very well with cPanel.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

The easiest way to manage and utilize your server's capabilities is with Cpanel. I recommend it because I like it for being an intuitive platform with a user-friendly learning curve and straightforward configuration.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The administration and configuration of the domain of the websites I managed.

Email security features such as DKIM keys are not present in cPanel, you have to manually add them to your mail server or mail exchanger

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage and monitor all the microservices of a VPS hosted server with a single interface, cPanel also helps me in creating 250+ mail inboxes for employees and sharing them their password (auto generated by cpanel)

that bring many features and tools to squeeze it to the maximum benefit. From the panel I can manage my domains, create emails for work colleagues, and even integrate for an e-commerce. managing files on the website becomes an easy task.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

I do not consider myself as a development expert so some functions are not clear and can make it difficult for some users to understand them and not get the most out of it.

Another thing that I do not like is that when the mail of a domain was configured the messages do not arrive, it seems to me a rather annoying failure.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduce process and make it easier to manage a website in your company. I use it to create corporate emails, manage website pages and database. I believe that cPanel has improved the security of the site and has simplified the work.

cPanel does everything. A great tool where I can access almost everything, from our website files, to ftp, to emails, ssl, and so on. Also a great management tool for our web needs as everything is organized. A certain section for a certain group, like softwares, domains, databases, files, emails etc.

It also allows you to install scripts by just one click in collaboration with Softaculous. CMS like wordpress, joomla, drupal, and any other scripts out there can just be installed with a single click. No need to manually setup databases for each site you create.

It also allows you to create subdomains, addon domains, parked domains and the list goes on.

  ### 35. the control panel that every hosting must have

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daylen W. | Senior Content Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

It is a software to have total control of your storage and web server, very user-friendly with a fairly simple and intuitive interface, an innumerable degree of tools at your fingertips for the customization and configuration of your web server, every day and every update gives us improvements and automation of processes for the proper development of our web pages, the ability to easily configure files .php, mail servers, ftp accounts, install content managers directly from the platform as wordpress, have full control of our files stored with a series of tools very easy to use and useful when loading and managing our files on the host, no doubt cpanel has positioned itself as the best control panel installable on an online storage server, is a tool that facilitates any expert or inexperienced the proper development of a web portal.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

For inexperienced users there is no preinstalled guide to guide them through an initial tour, identifying all the tools available within the control panel, I think one of the most complicated things about using cpanel is the amount of tools available, that can go from being an advantage to become a real mess if you do not know very well how to use or how to manage the amount of utilities available, I think it could greatly improve the control platform, the fact that comes preinstalled on each host with a quick guide to use. while there are many tutorials and guides on the Internet and the platform page, does not come with such guidance at the time we initialized the software online

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I started to develop webpages independently as a freelancer and for the old agency where I worked cpanel it has been a software that has made things very easy for me, in the correct handling and easy access to the whole world of web development, it has Endless tools with which I have been able to correctly manage the storage and configuration of the files on the servers of the different portals that I have developed, your client for document handling and ftp files is simply fantastic, it is simple, easy to use and allows me to directly edit the files with its powerful text editor, the extensions to modify the server's .php files are super useful when it comes to modifying the default parameters that the server gives us for the file upload size, something that if working on a content manager like wordpress and handle external issues is very important to configure, and also the account manager Mail is quite useful, although they are tools in simple theory, they fully fulfill their specific function and it is the type of things you are looking for in a software, that is why I would recommend 100% cpanel as administrator or control panel for any server of hosting

  ### 36. cPanel, control and administration of website hosting!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neolgamar m. | graphic designer and conmunity manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

I love the management of my websites through cPanel, as I can access, control, and manage the web hosting server. cPanel is well-structured and organized into categories such as files, support, database, domains, emails, security, metrics, software, advanced, applications, preferences, among other things. It is also designed for administrators, hosting resellers, and end users. Its interface is graphical and presented as a web page, loaded with icons within the categories that make interaction very friendly and intuitive. This software has a three-layer design that delivers different attributes to administrators, space resellers, and end users. The support for cPanel provided by the companies that use hosting is excellent and offers immediate responses to meet your needs.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

I don't like it for:
1. Having no domain and little experience can be a risk due to the large number of functions since you can accidentally change some important configuration.
2. There is extremely expensive hosting.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

I recommend it because:
1. Ease of learning and use;
2. Includes automatic software installers;
3. Time-saving;

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

Cpanel is an excellent tool for the management of any hosting, security is incredibly good, and they always have many updates. I always recommend it for the company and for our customers. It has also helped us save a lot of time in managing emails and files on the servers. I love the graphical interface, I think it is incredibly good, very friendly and with the possibility of moving objects in the most convenient way. It does not require that system administrators are constantly connected checking the server, Cpanel takes care of this task. And finally, it has the Cron automated works, which is an excellent way to automate processes.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

The software tends to be a bit heavy, but it's worth it for the great features it offers. Sometimes it is complicated to manage multiple domains with a master account, it can be a bit complicated. Although with WHM it is much easier, and WHM also belongs to the Cpanel platform. This WHM has worked for me to easily manage domains, DNS, NameServers among other features of the servers. Some security functions are complex and complicated to configure, although they have excellent support and community.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

I recommend this platform because it has many positive aspects with respect to the competition as Plesk. Also, I also love being able to change the php versions with which you can work on the server. In turn cPanel provides the user interfaces to manage a more familiar website in the world. It is very important to say that they also update the platform on a regular basis to guarantee the security of the system. I have used cPanel for years and I can say that I have never been disappointed. Finally, it is important to say that this platform has a connection with softaculous, with which you can easily obtain a professional website in a short time

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The mail manager seems incredibly good, it's easy and simple to use, besides being able to add email signatures to every email that is sent. cPanel is the best software that exists for the administration of web hosting, be it an account or a hostings reseller account. **Reviewed by:** Jeyson L. | Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

very easy management of the environment for your web domain, has many work tools including mysql, postgresql, phpmyadmin among many monitoring tools, uploading files, among them we can see the easy creation of web sub-domains, create email accounts , redirect link among many other things that the cpanel can offer, I think it is a very useful tool and 100% effective both for the simple administration for beginners and for an advanced expert, highly recommended.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

What I do not like very much about this license is that it is heavy in terms of hardwre resources but everything has a benefit which is that the tool to be heavy meets all the described requirements which characterize it as one of The best website managers in the market.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

recommended since it is the main tool of work for the day to day in the computer area, easy to administer servers, or if you want to be a seller of web services, among other features is the cost, since it is economical and is not required Be an expert to learn how to use this valuable tool.

  ### 41. cPanel is Robust and Feature Rich

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishkarsh K. | Dreamer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

cPanel is the goto software to manage web hosting, be it individual account or reseller account. i perticularly like the email features it has to offer - it is quite good even for some complex stuff like auto moving emails to a folder, etc. on individual email level or on account level. integration with softaculous gives simple one click access to install amazing apps like wordpress and rainloop - which we have been using quite extensively :)

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

granular controls are missing. especially on each individual user level. if a user needs to set a vacation responder on email, they cannot do it via the webapp, it can only be done via the admin account. also, the file manager is underwhelming for a tool that is so old and so widely used! it works, but the UX is just not 2019!

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

setting up and managing emails are a breeze. managing website hosting, be it direct or via wordpress, is quite good and since you have full access to all the files, handling things is quite easy (and obviously risky for the uninitiated!)

  ### 42. WHM - The Best Hosting Platform To Manage Hosting Accounts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** .Kim M. | President, Designz23 Marketing and Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

Web Host Manager is the very best solution to run a small web hosting business. It's interface is very simple and easy to use. It's documentation is organized into easy categories, making it
simple to find instructions on how to do any of it's many features. The most common function you will probably use is the setting up a new web hosting account for a new customer, which it's just a matter of of few clicks, and then entering data into a few input fields.
couple of clicks and then inputting a few form fields.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

WHM isn't the greatest solution for medium or larger web hosting companies unless you also integrate a third party system like WHMCS. Smaller hosting or web design companies should also integrate
third party backup solutions , because the backup functionality of cPanel accounts is not as modern in terms of "ease of use" as one might think. Otherwise, you have to go through each cPanel account, individually, and then download the backup or ftp it to a server.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

Install a third party backup solution so you don't have to backup your cPanel accounts one by one. Allow multiple domains on new accounts by default.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WHM (Web Host Manager) is very good software, an ideal solution for small web development companies who might also want to start making an additional revenue source by selling hosting. The platform is easy to learn, find features in it's documentation, and navigate
through the well-organized administrative panel. Creating a new web hosting account for a new customer can be achieved in a matter of just minutes.

We heavily use cPanel to manage web hosting accounts in our company. Simple because it is the customer's choice, customers are so in love with the dashboard and features cPanel provides.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

I would like to see the much-awaited NGINX support very soon on the cPanel. With NGINX support cPanel would be the dashboard that no one can say NO.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

All of us used cPanel at least once if you are related to web, content, marketing and related areas. If anyone planning to host a website cPanel is the best choice which you won't regret.

  ### 44. Easiest Server Control Panel Ever

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert C. | CTO & Customer Service Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

The GUI is very intuitive and laid out very cleanly and with the ability to search available functions makes it quick to get where you need to go and quickly make changes to various services running on your server. In addition, it's incredibly easy to manage sites, users, DNS and emails using the available tools.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

There are some areas that overlap and you'll find similar settings in a few different places which can get confusing for someone just starting out.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

Definitely figure out how many sites you plan on hosting and determine things like the server hostname and DNS urls before install. Changing hostname can cause some additional work later, but is doable. Once it's setup, you may need to update various service configuration as they may get set to default values. Once that is done, decide if you want the system to automatically update or would rather control that yourself. If you do decide for automatic updates, make sure you utilize the system backup functions to automatically create backups in case it updates and throws an error at you after.

Security wise you may want to consider how much of a target you are and couple some of the built in security features with a hardware firewall as well.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have multiple servers and I needed a solution so that others in my office, who are not as tech savy and Linux/Unix knowledgeable, would be able to setup and manage aspects of client accounts. This made it easy for our sales staff and support staff to access logs, add domains, and make simple DNS changes.

CPanel has some of the best features known for hosting. You’re able to easily install plug ins using the installatron, And see all the analytical data off your website while managing files and email accounts.

I dislike the FTP protocol, as you’re only allowed to upload one file at a time, making it very difficult to upload new projects to the server!

I would highly recommend installing cPanel on your server, it eases the job in automates a lot of the task he would do without cPanel!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark K. | President & CEO, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

You can manage unlimited accounts and even offer reseller accounts. You can set-up whatever packages you like and select options per package including storage space, bandwidth, parked domains, databases and much more. You can also suspend an account with a single click. There is even a place to edit packages, upgrade or downgrade accounts and much more. There are many sections with many options in each section, so I recommend using the search bar at the top of the left column. Example, Search 'SSL' and every option that controls elements of SSL will show below.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

There is a lot to it and takes quite a bit of time to learn everything.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

Don't get overwhelmed. Take it slow and learn a couple options in a section and sleep on it. If you learn too much at once, things will overlap in your memory and you will make mistakes.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security issues and SSL can be managed for all your hosting accounts from one place.

  ### 50. An excellent hosting management panel

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raul B. | Network manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2019

**What do you like best about cPanel?**

I think it's great how to manage a hosting with this software, they really do everything very simple and is included in the vast majority of hostings. In addition to having a large number of tools such as database management, file management and FTP accounts, network disks and subdomain management. It allows a simple and fast administration thanks to its web interface very well maintained and modern.

**What do you dislike about cPanel?**

There really are very few things that I do not like. As for example, the handling of SSL certificates is sometimes complicated. Creating a database and then linking it with users can be a bit tedious when many users must be linked. Unable to load complete folders through the file manager, first you must create the folder and then upload the files, something that can be complicated when dealing with many files, the fastest way is to upload a zip file and then decompress it on the server.

**Recommendations to others considering cPanel:**

I recommend this software because it is really comfortable and easy to use, you can do administration tasks which can be done by hand much more complicated. In addition, the file manager is very useful to upload new content to the hosting without the need to install an FTP program on the computer.

**What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software helped many problems of file management and databases for the company's own hosting. It has also contributed in giving greater security to the server and its internal management, and in giving comfort to the management of hosting servers, since managing everything directly from Apache and other programs is much more tedious because it is directly on the Linux console.
