  ### 13. An ideal page for a MOOC

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maryalba G. | Consultor de gestión de proyectos, Food & Beverages, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

Coursera offers a very wide range of courses for professional and academic development, in addition to that, it does so in multiple languages, such as English, French, Italian, and Spanish, which considerably expands people's opportunities to enroll in one of its courses and start learning about new technologies, new tools for the analysis of social problems, or why not learn grammar or writing in another language. The materials used in Coursera are very up-to-date, and the professors are of very high caliber and with a great academic level, most of them with a PhD level. Additionally, it is possible to download all the classes and materials to use them when considered necessary or when one wishes to consult a specific topic, which is very useful once the courses are completed.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

Most of the courses offered do not provide free certificates and only allow viewing of the materials, without the possibility of doing the quizzes or assigned tasks, which really limits people's ability to learn and validate their knowledge. A few years ago, it was possible to access free certificates in almost all courses, but currently, this option has practically disappeared, and it limits the learning capacity of people who cannot afford a verified certificate.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

They must keep in mind that there is a very wide range of courses they can choose from, and they should select appropriately what they want to learn, and know that they must dedicate a considerable amount of time to this task. On the other hand, they should consider that it is almost essential to have financial support, since the courses offered are mostly paid and do not offer free certificates.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coursera has helped me with learning new tools for Project Management and with other courses to understand the environmental sustainability of large cities, and how urbanization processes can be harmonious with nature and much more sustainable.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive feedback about Coursera! We're glad to hear that you appreciate the wide range of courses available in multiple languages, the updated materials, and the high-quality instructors. We're constantly working to provide valuable learning experiences for our users.

  ### 17. A virtual university where the best professors in the world teach

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I have been using Coursera for more than 5 years now, and I have learned some of the fundamental courses in Computer Science from the best professors in the world on Coursera. Without Coursera, I would have a difficult time in finding the quality material on various topics in Computer Science. I like the fact that one either audit a course or a complete a certification, I like both the options. Also, the course materials like handouts and slides are of great quality. The exercise problems are challenging that forces a student to apply the knowledge gained. Overall the learning experience is highly rewarding.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

Most of the courses and the related materials used to be freely available on Coursera. However, with the recent changes, some of the courses are categorized into specific tracks, and they are not free anymore. However I am glad that one can still audit the paid courses, but access to the course materials may be limited.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

Coursera is an online learning platform that offers courses taught by the best professors in the world. Hence, investing in learning through Coursera is guaranteed to have high returns. As the Coursera certifications are becoming widely known, if someone is trying to build a career on a specific track, taking Coursera courses for certifications is highly recommended.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coursera provides access to high-quality materials on various topics in Computer Science. One can build their career in specialized tracks like data analytics, UI/UX design, etc., by completing the courses on Coursera. Also, these days the Coursera certifications are appreciated and accepted by various software development and research firms which is a great incentive for completing certifications on Coursera.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We appreciate your recommendation to others considering Coursera for Business. It's great to hear that you've found the certifications to be valuable for building a career in specialized tracks.

  ### 18. high quality courses!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maike H. | Graduate Research Assistant, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I like that, although you can purchase courses (and earn a certificate), you can also audit the courses and access all the information for free. I have only had positive experiences with Coursera courses. The instructors are engaging, and the quizzes and other class supplements help to reinforce topics covered in the lectures. The lectures are well prepared, and they are just long enough to give a good explanation. Most lecture videos are 10-20 mins long. I also appreciate that all the course material is available when you enroll for a course. If you want to skip a section, then you can easily go to a later week and watch the videos on a particular topic. The lecture videos are also very good quality, and navigation through the coursera course system is very intuitive. Finally, I really like that you can download videos / course supplements so you can study even without an internet connection.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

I do not like that to get answers to quizzes or have access to peer grading you have to purchase the course. It is somewhat irritating to do the quizzes but never find out your grade. Also, when you first enter the coursera website, it seems like you have to pay for the classes. However, if you click on 'enroll', a tiny check box appears that says 'audit' and that allows you to take the class for free. It is somewhat misleading because it seems like you must pay for course content, which is not true.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

I would recommend Coursera to individuals needing to 'brush up' on topics for school or work. It is especially good for people who already have a job but wish to learn more about a certain topic on their own time. You can watch videos from most devices (e.g. laptop, phone, tablet), and you can even download the videos and watch them without an internet connection. I

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Coursera to prepare for other classes (I am a ph.D student), which ultimately has helped my research efforts. Coursera has helped me to gain the knowledge I needed to complete certain aspects of my research. Thus, it has helped me be more productive.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're delighted to hear that you've found our courses to be of high quality and engaging! Thank you for sharing your positive experiences with Coursera for Business.

  ### 19. Excellent learning experience

**Reviewed by:** Aakash G. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

Courera User Interface is very good and it is easy to find any course and enroll into it. Many courses are available and coursera have very vast and deep syllabus. Faculties teaching are so good and helpful. We can interact with other students and solve our doubts. Coursera from best colleges of the world are provided.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

Many new and important coursera have high rate as compared to other learning sites. Learning notes are not provided. Trending syllabus are not available everytime. Course length is too short to complete.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

I recommend coursera for learning new coursera.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using coursera for learning new subjects and extending my knowledge. It is very good learning site.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you had an excellent learning experience with Coursera! We're constantly working to improve our course offerings and user interface to make learning as seamless as possible.

  ### 20. Best learning experience

coursera provides many courses which are really useful to me. All the courses have well structured syllabus and is easy to learn here. User interface is very good and easy to search for desire course. Faculties are good and their teaching technique is nice and one can easily understand.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

Prices are little bit high. Some trending courses like deep learning and machine learning are not available every time. Some courses have old syllabus as they are not teaching updated syllabus. Better practice material can be provided

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

I totally recommend coursera for learning new subjects.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are learning new concepts from coursera. It is really helpful

  ### 21. Great Product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I have been using coursera for nearly three years by enrolling in professional development courses. I love the fact that a user has the freedom to both buy or audit the course, which basically means to review the entire course for free. The majority of courses are high quality and the course creators have done an excellent job.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

I dislike the fact that many courses that I'm interested in enrolling have a specific timeline for completion, which makes it inconvenient sometimes. Also, there needs to be a small test bank with each course to
practice again and retain the material more effectively.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

Majority of the courses on coursera are either free to audit or around $10 for high quality content, so I would highly recommend you to try out coursera.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use coursera to enroll in professional development courses which allow me to hep students and perform my job more effectively.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> Thank you for your review of Coursera for Business! We're thrilled to hear that you've been enjoying the flexibility to audit courses and the high quality of the content.

  ### 22. Coursera is your bridge to your next job/ability.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Misagh N. | Biochemistry PhD student and Research Assistant in Computational and Systems Biology, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I can decide to learn something like DataScience today and start taking well prepared courses right away at the comfort of my living room! Coursera allows me to do that.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

The courses are still too traditional, where everybody starts from the same spot and learns with the same pace. I want to see more feedback based learning, that uses AI to understand where you are standing right now (Placement) and when you learned or haven't mastered a subject. I am not sure how but I think if I worked for Coursera I would have found a way so I leave this for Coursera people to figure out.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

If you are looking to learn a new skill professionally and be sure that you have covered all the bases.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I learn new abilities and material by day and apply it to my work or get prepared for the next job!

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Coursera for Business convenient and accessible for learning new skills from the comfort of your home.

Some courses are only available on specific dates and I have missed out on classes I was really interested in. I understand why, but it would be nice if you could access any class at any time.

Coursera is the best tool out there if you want to learn more about a certain area to improve your skills and knowledge! ### 24. Coursera Review for use in the Classroom and Professional Development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachael H. | Middle School Science Teacher, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I deeply appreciate the free educational resources that Coursera offers. I have used these classes for myself, and recommended them to secondary-level students. They help with professional development for an endless variety of careers and the courses all stem from reputable sources. Coursera offers an opportunity to expand the horizons of personal knowledge, or the opportunity to sign up a group up for the same class and go through development together.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

I wish there were a few more free assessments in the courses that could help track learning, a greater selection of multiple choice "work checks" would be beneficial in better gauging understanding of the material in a succinct manner as a personal user and as an administrator.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

Coursera has directions on how to sign up for and participate in a course, however an organization-wide training may be beneficial to show users the full extent of the website.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Within the educational psychology field, professional development AND technological skills are critically important. Coursera offers classes that help with both of these areas, helping to boost the abilities of inexperienced individuals, as well as offer a personal-study option for students. Coursera's self-paced progression ensures that completing a course is within the abilities of nearly anyone as well.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're glad to hear that you appreciate the free educational resources and the variety of courses available on Coursera. We're constantly working to improve our platform, and your feedback about the need for more free assessments is valuable. We'll take this into consideration for future updates. Thank you for recommending Coursera to others!

  ### 25. Has variety of content

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

Has a large variety of content. The certificate is also considered of high value, which makes it even more appealing for people to gain better knowledge and specializations at their convenience.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

It is pretty expensive for students, they can make it more appealing for students especially.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learning game development in python was super fun

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're glad to hear that you appreciate the variety of content and the value of our certificates. We understand that pricing can be a concern, and we are constantly working to make our offerings more accessible to students.

  ### 26. Coursera delievers you the best source for university level education

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I've taken several free courses there and as far as I can say, the quality is really good (well-structured, convenient etc.) As for effectiveness of the particular course, you can always review(audit) all the offered materials and decide if it is what you are looking for before paying anything.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

The problem with Coursera are the moderation in the forums. From the few courses I have taken, many of my classmate were criticized heavily or bullied from other classmates for asking questions in the forum. This hasn’t give any attention with the forum moderators which makes the community feel unease with helping each other.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

Yes, anyone who is willing to invest time for their education. They could also earn certificates to aid their experience/knowledge for work related reasons.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have taken courses like, "Introduction with MATLAB" for educational reasoning. I was able to learn a lot with the videos the course offers and the homework challenges my critical thinking skills. Cousera also have courses which requires payment. But it's definitely affordable and worth than paying over $1000 on a course in college.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience and recommendations. We're committed to providing a supportive learning environment and will take your feedback about forum moderation into consideration for future improvements.

  ### 27. Online education headed in the right direction

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I love how these lectures are recorded online which means you can go back anytime to revisit the content. This is convenient because in class lectures you can't go back listen to what the professor said. Also, I love the format of the site. It has a modernized look to it and it's easy to search up classes utilizing the categories they provide you.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

What I dislike about it is that I can't reach the professors with questions about the course. Also, there aren't enough materials for me to practice on. Another issue I have is that some the timing some of these courses were not flexible.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

Make sure you have compiled your own practice materials in order to have more stuff test your knowledge with. Also just because it's an online course don't be lazy with it. Make sure you complete all your work before the deadline!

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are no business problems I am solving with Coursera.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experiences with our platform. We are continuously working to enhance the learning experience for our users and will take your feedback into account as we make improvements.

  ### 28. A great way to brush up and increase your knowledge base of a subject

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I like that the class I took was self-paced, so I could review the modules on my own time whether it be before work, after work or on the weekends.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

It was a little difficult to stay motivated and complete the whole class since it was self-paced. I would like to see them maybe send out emails if there is some inactivity, to try to get you to log back in and continue.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

It is a great resourse if you have an interest in something, but do not want to take a full college course or go back to college. If you want to stay busy and build some skills casually, this is a great alternative to a college. It also helps boost a resume, as it shows you are genuinely interested in learning new things, and growing.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I took an Excel class, to continue my knowledge of Pivot tables and other algorithms you can use Excel for. It was a great resume booster, in addition to my current skills and I think it really showed my interviewers that I am eager to learn and grow, so I ended up getting a job I wanted due to my interest in taking classes like this. I did not take the class to try and get the job I have, but I do feel it did help set me apart from other candidates when I did end up looking for a new career.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that Coursera for Business has been a valuable resource for your professional development. Your experience with the Excel class and its positive impact on your job search is inspiring. Thank you for recommending Coursera for Business as an alternative to traditional college courses.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farzan S. | MBA Graduate Fellow, Management Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

Coursera offers one of the largest collection of online courses in the world and many of these courses are offered through recorded video lessons by Ivy league professors who teach the same courses to full-time undergraduate and graduate students. Also, the wealth and breadth of courses present make it a revolutionary alternative to attending atypical college courses. Overall, websites like coursera are an important component of the education economy.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

More courses should involve peer to peer collaboration and teamwork in projects but currently there is not a compulsion on course participants to participate in forum discussions or post their opinions on course questions. This can limit the virtual classroom environment of some courses.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

It is a highly recommended tool fort those considering a quick solution to studying quality courses.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The greatest benefit of coursera is access to quality courses on various subjects that you can either browse or dive in deeply. Customizatable, flexible and accessible.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Coursera to be a valuable tool for accessing quality courses. Your feedback about the importance of peer collaboration is noted, and we will strive to incorporate more opportunities for teamwork and discussion in our courses.

I would definitely recommend Coursera. It is easy to use, has a lot of beneficial tools, and can be done around any schedule.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can't think of anything offhand, except that sometimes there's so many options I don't know which course to start with!

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 35. Coursera Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I have helped complete over 20 courses on Coursera for my students at my peer mentoring sessions. I am extremely happy overall with my experience with it. It offers a huge spectrum of classes in many different disciplines from liberal arts, to engineering. Also, the courses are offered from big-name universities like Brown, Stanford etc making them legit and trustworthy.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

The prices for these courses are really high and most of my college students are not able to afford that kind of pricing. Also, there is less student interaction which makes it difficult for students to find answers for something they can't find online and is specific to the class. Maybe this can be changed.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

The best web service for online courses, but you might want to try other software like codeacademy if you just need to learn the skills and don't care about the certificate. But definitely, if you want quality, Coursera is the place to go.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it at UNT to help my students get certified in various courses which are essential to building a skill set and a great addition to their resumes.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Coursera for Business. We will take your recommendations into consideration as we strive to enhance the user experience.

  ### 36. Coursera Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I have helped complete over 20 courses on Coursera for my students who come to me for career advising. I am extremely happy overall with my experience with it. It offers a huge spectrum of classes in many different disciplines from liberal arts, to engineering. There are always skills out there that people want to learn, but don't have a good way to do it. Coursera partners with teachers from reputed universities (ex. Johns Hopkins, Duke, Brown, etc.) to provide well-structured courses including lecture videos, homework, quizzes etc.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

I don't like that Coursera charges so much for verified certificates for courses. The $50 or so per course may not seem like a lot for a good quality class, but it is infinitely more than the $0 option with no certificate. Also, it charges you around 300$ which is very expensive for most of the students I deal with.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

The best website out there to help students with difficult courses and build up their profile. A huge shoutout and thumbs up to the Coursera team. Definitely, recommend it.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to help my students at TCU as a career advisor with taking new courses and building up their resumes with valuable certifications essential to their profile.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're glad to hear that you have had a positive experience with Coursera and that it has been beneficial for you and your students in accessing a wide range of courses from reputed universities.

  ### 37. Coursera Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

It is the best website out there to learn new skills. Period.
Also, it is so easy to use and the courses are taught by the best professors from the best universities in the world. Totally worth every penny. But because I also use it in my mentor session in helping students learn new topics in an interactive way with the help of videos and online coding challenges.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

It can get very pricey for students as most of them who are in college are not able to afford it in addition to their college fees etc. They really need to help students more so that they can help and benefit the society with a greater impact.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

Once you try Coursera it will be really hard to switch to any other platform for learning online courses.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use it to help my mentees with programming and getting course certificates which can prove beneficial to their careers ahead because they are worth adding to their resumes and CV'S.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Coursera for Business to be the best website for learning new skills and that you find the courses to be valuable. We understand your concerns about pricing and are constantly working to make our platform more accessible to students. Thank you for your feedback!

  ### 38. Coursera Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

The best thing about Coursera is that not only do they have a wide variety of courses (everything from philosophy to medicine to data science to business), but they also have amazing partnerships with world-class schools (think Johns Hopkins, Wharton, Stanford, etc). This makes it really worth the time and money you invest in it. Also, you can get financial aid which makes it the best website out there.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

As with a university, the quality of the courses varies widely. Some professors are highly engaging, and some are incredibly boring. Also, I do not expect them to grade it for people who are doing the courses for free but their projects will help us solidify our concepts.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

Once you go Coursera, you never go back or switch to anything. Nothing can beat this website.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it at my job at UT to help students get certifications for various courses easily and from reputed Universities.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're delighted to hear that Coursera for Business has been a valuable resource for you and your students at UT. We appreciate your loyalty and are committed to providing high-quality courses from reputable institutions. **What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

The best part about Coursera is the interface. Coursera has a very easy to use interface that allows for better concentration and progress. The website is easy to navigate through and is very well organized. Also, the materials for each course are available even if you do not pay for the certificate, so anyone can learn.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

The thing I dislike about Coursera is the price of the courses. If they could make the courses a little cheaper it would help everyone.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

It is recommended to others that want to use Coursera that you should definitely take a shot at it. The materials are free so even if you do not want to pay you do not need to.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Coursera to teach fellow employees about Data Analytics. This is useful in my organization as a lot of data analytics is used and many employees are not up to date with the latest tools and techniques.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're glad to hear that you find our interface easy to use and that you appreciate the availability of course materials. We understand your concern about course prices and are constantly working to make our offerings more accessible. Thank you for the recommendation and for using Coursera to teach your fellow employees about Data Analytics.

Some of the courses are very short! Lots of work to do in a short amount of time. It would be nice to have less work spread out over more weeks.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learning new skills and trying new classes. I have realized the benefit of utilizing resources for free classes and access to education.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

  ### 42. Coursera review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

It is a really good software for students looking to get extra coursework done besides their classes.
Also, It has become really easy for our department to recommend students to use this website to get help with courses they want to take and learn. Also, students can extend their course deadline so that they can finish the courses as per their schedule.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

The courses can become expensive at times which makes it difficult for students to enroll and get a certificate. Also, the financial aid approval takes more than 15 days making it difficult for students to start studying for the course ASAP.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

The best online learning website out there. And always remember to apply for financial aid.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps our department to recommend students courses on this website and gain important knowledge. Also, the courses are provided from big-name universities which helps students in their careers.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

The best part about Coursera is, it feels like you are taking classes at your school. They have a really good 'class room' experience.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

There's not much to hate about it actually. The place where they can improve is on recommendations and user interface in general.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

Motivate the users to 'stay on learn on'. One of the issues with online learning, which is very commonly heard among in my social network, is that it is hard to keep up even with the social feature they have. Because it is online, it kind of loses a little importance. So, some other way of keeping users motivated.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coursera is solving the problem for a lot of people who want to learn but either don't have the money or the time. For me personally it has been time.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I like best the courses where you are not bound by weeks, where you can complete as quickly or as slowly as you want to.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

I dislike that more and more of the material is costing money. Not even getting the certificates, but even taking quizzes is sometimes only opened up by paying. I understand you need to make money, but the appeal was the zero-cost.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

There are tons of excellent courses on here.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I need to learn about topics (coding, analytics, etc), I can take a free Coursera class instead of enrolling in a cost-based program.

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

I like the multiple course options! It is also clear in each description as to what we should expect. I like the variety.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

There are a lot of tech options, I would love some more education/children focused. I disliked that not all of them have the option to be self taught, although I understand that may be a personal choice.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

Use it for professional development for yourself or your employees! It has so many options, including self timing courses for the busy professional, or actual courses with deadlines for those who prefer school!

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

The courses taught by the professors of other universities helped me gain deep insight into some of the topics. Especially the course on the machine learning was quite good.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

Some of the curriculum structures don't allow me to learn at my pace. So, I have to wait for the next lecture or assignment to begin. Had to wait for days in order to resume the course.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

The courses will definitely help you but all there is a lack of variation in the courses, but if you are really fond of the professors of other universities you can definitely go for it. Finding the right course can be difficult but when you find one, it's worth all the effort.

The main business problem being solved is learning whenever one has time as the courses are self paced. This is specially good for professionals like me who are working and don't have much time at hand. Plus, this is a one stop shop where you can find many courses from various industry and backgrounds.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Coursera for Business?**

Coursera offers a bounty of courses, giving you variety, options and flexibility. I like that real professors, experts in their study, are offering engaging lectures and course work.

**What do you dislike about Coursera for Business?**

Sometimes it is hard to motivate yourself to review old learning, lest you fall behind in the class. You are responsible to yourself, primarily, to complete your work.

**Recommendations to others considering Coursera for Business:**

I find it best to not exceed more than three courses at a time- allow yourself time to study, review and complete course work. Make sure you are interested in the topic or else it is easy to become disengaged and fall behind in the course.

**What problems is Coursera for Business solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am becoming more of an expert in my field of study and staying onto of the most recent research.

**Official Response from Shilpa Shetty C:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you are finding value in the variety of courses and expertise of our professors. We understand the challenges of self-motivation and appreciate your recommendations for managing multiple courses and staying engaged with the material.
