Courier is notification infrastructure for customer messaging, built for humans and AI agents. It sits between your app and every channel you send on: email, SMS, push, in-app inbox, chat, and webhooks. You send one request, and Courier works out where it goes, what it looks like, and whether the user wanted it at all. Teams use it for the messages a product has to send: onboarding, alerts, receipts, reminders, and account notices. You keep the providers you already pay for. Courier is the layer above them. • Design a message once and it adapts to each channel it goes out on, whether you build it in the visual editor or manage it as code. • Journeys handle the sequencing: waits, batching, digests, and branching on what someone does or ignores. • Add an in-app inbox to your web and mobile apps without building one from scratch. • Users set their own channel and topic preferences, so you are not fielding requests to turn things off. • When a provider fails, Courier fails over to another, and every send lands in one log with its delivery status. I like it for its ease of use and the fact that you can configure and select the recipients of the notifications dynamically. The customer support also appears to be great as there are plenty of ways to contact the support staff in case of questions or software or integration issues. Perhaps the only concern I have with this platform is the fact that there are currently no options to integrate the platform to different social media services (e.g. Snapchat,Instagram etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Courier solving and how is that benefiting you? It is a great way to set up an infrastructure that sends out notifications to users in plenty of different ways. I like the notification scheduling functions that allows you to send notifications at specific times so the users might have the chance to look at them at times at which they are using mostly their devices. Working with Courier is a great experience, and as a developer, it helps that I can create notifications quickly across various platforms. The conditional rendering of text/components was initially tricky. I can this being a bigger issue for non devs. There were also some bugs that I faced on the platform where I wasn't able to see some workspaces when logging in (apparently the issue was related to ultrawide monitors) which was a little bit frustrating. Templating emails is streamlined for us and is also fairly intuitive. We are also able to free up more hours for feature development work. The markdown language for writing templates is great. I also like the UX in general, the easy way to select email vendors and the simplicity of sending test emails. The platform's design and the all-powerful email editor make it easy to add logic to notification content. I especially like the handlebars feature which allows me to write code within it. We were looking to minimize the efforts required for sending notifications across multiple platforms and courier and its complete solution helped us integrate with multiple platforms like slack, SMS, and AWS SES with ease.
