The takeoff function of Countfire is beyond compare & it's ability to distinguish between similar symbols w. annotations is amazing! What used to take days or weeks now takes under an hour and if you get stuck, the Customer Service is better than any company I have ever used. Just send a message via chat and in minutes (sometimes seconds) someone is on and assisting. They have even looked at what I am working on and sent me shortcuts or workarounds w/out me asking! As an estimator, there is so much on prints beyond takeoffs. The ability to highlight notes and add them to sub-headers you control (Exclusions, Qualifications, General Estimate Notes) would be huge. i've been using this for the past 6 months or so, and it's a real time saver, Customer service is excellent Katie Mahew has been very eceptional with any problems or questions i may have about the program. Some slight issues with the system picking up multiple fixture types, but there are some work arounds that you grasp pretty easily to resolve that. When generating reports, i've found that i am having to save it under a different file type in order to Edit ( this could be that my computer is not properly setup or is geared more to web based applications than more typical Excell/Adobe editors), and then saving again under a PDF file for email preperation...would recomend a quicker option to just print a PDF on the total fixture types ( easy simple burtton/1 click option). I love the ability to have an easy view of all my fixtures and their quantities. Any time I have questions about a feature their customer support team is ready to offer helpful tips and tricks. If they even see you struggling with one particular thing they'll reach out to offer advice. I haven't used the estimating feature yet, but I look forward to testing out all the useful features. how easy it is to use and how attentive the workers are always there to help. i use the software everyday and never run into any issues, and has so many features to ensure i can get a extramly accurate count. it has helped our company imemsley and saved us alot of money on mistakes.
