  ### 14. Once You’re Set Up, It’s a Game Changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Cortex Cloud?**

We’ve been using Cortex Cloud for a few months now, and it’s honestly been a game changer for how we manage service ownership and operational maturity across teams. The service catalog gives us a clear, centralized view of our microservices, including who owns what and how each service stacks up against our internal standards.

One thing I really like is the scorecard system — it helps us track things like SLO compliance, runbook links, and security checks in a way that’s visible and actionable without adding process bloat. It’s made some of our security and compliance reporting way easier.

Setup took a bit of effort, especially getting all the integrations in place, but once it’s up and running, it’s low-maintenance and easy to keep updated. We’ve tied it into GitHub, PagerDuty, and some of our CI tools, and the visibility it gives us is solid.

If you’re trying to get more structure around service ownership, or just reduce the back-and-forth between engineering and ops, Cortex is definitely worth looking into.

**What do you dislike about Cortex Cloud?**

Cortex Cloud offers a lot of value, but getting started can be challenging. The setup process, especially around configuring integrations and defining scorecards, isn’t exactly plug-and-play—it requires a good amount of upfront effort and familiarity with your internal systems.

In terms of flexibility, some areas like scorecard customization or UI tweaks feel a bit limited unless you reach out to their support team. For organizations with unique workflows, this can slow down full adoption.

Also, the pricing structure isn’t very clear upfront, which makes it harder to evaluate the platform without going through a sales cycle.

That said, once it’s properly configured, it becomes a really effective tool for driving service maturity and visibility across teams.

**What problems is Cortex Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cortex Cloud has helped us get a much clearer handle on service ownership and operational standards across all our microservices. Before we started using it, it was tough to track who owned what and whether services were meeting basic requirements like SLOs, documentation, or alerting.

Now, we can see everything in one place, and teams have much more accountability. The scorecards make it easy to spot what needs attention, and we’re spending less time chasing down info or doing manual checks. It’s also made it easier to keep teams aligned on best practices and maintain a higher level of consistency across the board.

Having worked on some in-house AI driven security solutions I can say this gives a very nice turn-key solution. The fact it's a cloud native solution flies pretty well with the upper management and it gives a good user experience for the admins or security folk who have to cover all their bases with anything they need to monitor.

**What do you dislike about Cortex Cloud?**

There is the price to consider on this product for sure, having it be a cloud-first solution my personal gripes about telemetry and security of our company data come to mind and make me wary of how much is really shared and if the security solution actually makes some things more vulnerable, but that's more of a personal thought. I'd say enterprise pricing is still the biggest barrier to entry for many companies.

**What problems is Cortex Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefits we saw were in the lowering of mental overhead and time lost on poring over our code and making sure it's actually cloud ready. It ma

I like that it has AI integrated into it which saves lots of time. And its also great that is has protective barriers and unified dashboard for ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Cortex Cloud?**

At first the UI is a little overwhelming with its depth of features. Initial setup was a bit difficult for me and licensing can be a bit complex which can slow down productivity.

**What problems is Cortex Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cortex Cloud is helping us unify our cloud security operations and housekeeping across different enviorments. Its helping us with CSPM, runtime threat detection, and automated responses. It also helped us reduce our alert fatigue and the AI has helped us improve our productivity for fixing our issues.

  ### 26. Effortless Cloud Operations with Cortex

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Cortex Cloud?**

I really like how simple and clean the dashboard is. It’s easy to find what you need, even when you have a lot of services to manage. Things that used to take a long time now only take one click. Having everything in one place also makes it easier to spot problems early.

**What do you dislike about Cortex Cloud?**

I wish the analysis and reporting could be more flexible. The ready-made dashboards are good for most things, but sometimes, you need to dig a little deeper. It’s not a big problem, but having more options would make it even better.

**What problems is Cortex Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Cortex Cloud for container security, and it has made a big difference. We can find and fix security problems much faster now without slowing everything down. It has saved us a lot of manual work and helped us stay safe while keeping things running smoothly.

  ### 27. Cortex Cloud is the BEST..

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Cortex Cloud?**

I really appreciate how user-friendly the interface is. It makes navigating complex data much simpler, and the integration with our existing tools was surprisingly smooth, saving us a lot of setup time initially. It just feels intuitive to use day-to-day.

**What do you dislike about Cortex Cloud?**

Sometimes the platform feels a little slow during peak usage times, which can be frustrating when you're on a tight deadline. I've also found that exporting very large datasets occasionally encounters errors or takes longer than expected, which can disrupt workflow.

**What problems is Cortex Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cortex Cloud helps us find security problems in our containers before they go live, like checking for known flaws. It also keeps an eye on them while they're running to stop hacks or suspicious activity automatically. This makes our apps safer overall and helps us meet security standards more easily.

  ### 28. Complexity simplified

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lukáš M. | Fullstack Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Cortex Cloud?**

Despite being very complex product, issue analysis and dependency mapping is very simple, thus reducing the labour of manually integrating and implementing multiple custom SDKs.

**What do you dislike about Cortex Cloud?**

User interface could use some more contrasting colors in dark settings, issues not always being notified by email. We have not yet engaged in any customer support communication, can't comment on that.

**What problems is Cortex Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to identify potential vulnerabilities and weak spots in our system before our QA or (at the worst case) users ever find out. Also shows history of these findings, making it easy to track what part of our product is most impacted by inadequate changes (in regards to security).

  ### 29. short fun with our project

Cortex Cloud is pretty solid when it comes to accessibility and ease of use. The UI is intuitive, and setting up workflows isn’t overly complicated. It integrates well with other tools, which is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Cortex Cloud?**

It can be a bit pricey compared to some alternatives, and occasionally, performance slows down under heavy load. Some features feel underdeveloped or lacking customization, and support response times could be better.

Cortex Cloud helps streamline workflows by centralizing data and processes, reducing the need for manual intervention. The automation features save time, and the real-time collaboration tools improve efficiency, especially for remote teams. Security measures help with compliance and data protection, which is crucial for handling sensitive information. However, occasional slowdowns and pricing concerns remain a factor.

**What do you like best about Cortex Cloud?**

What I like most about Prisma Cloud is its ease of use and implementation. The platform provides real-time visibility across cloud environments, containers, and Kubernetes, making it simple to detect vulnerabilities. The number of features it offers, like compliance monitoring and threat protection, is impressive, and the ease of integration with other tools makes it a great fit for many organizations. The frequency of use is also high because of its continuous monitoring capabilities, which ensure security at all times. Additionally, customer support is responsive, which adds a lot of value when you need assistance quickly."

**What do you dislike about Cortex Cloud?**

One thing I would mention is that, while Prisma Cloud offers a wide range of features, it can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for new users. The learning curve, particularly with integrating all its tools and features, might take some time. Additionally, while the platform is powerful, frequent use can sometimes reveal the need for further customization to fit specific needs, which may require more effort in terms of setup and implementation.

**What problems is Cortex Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prisma Cloud solves a lot of problems I would face in cloud environments. It gives me clear, real-time visibility into the infrastructure, containers, and Kubernetes, making it easy to spot security issues or misconfigurations. It also makes staying compliant with regulations like GDPR and PCI-DSS a lot easier. This gives me peace of mind, knowing that my environment is secure and compliant. **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Cortex Cloud?**

Prisma supports multi cloud enviornments and checks most of the security functionality needed for your organisation. We can choose to implement different components of the product, according to the current maturity of our platform. Out of the box functionality is basic but that works for us and provides us with compliance view.

**What do you dislike about Cortex Cloud?**

It does not feel like one product, Palo has acquired many startup companies and Prisma Cloud feels like a Frankenstein's mashup. The console and overall user experience is pretty bad you have to gain some prior knowledge before using the tool. It feels like a gen-one CSPM that tries to check additional checkboxes but in a shallow way.

**What problems is Cortex Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Secure our AWS and Azure cloud enviorenments, mainly used for CSPM and Container Security.
