Many practice files are shared to learn as you do the exercise. The concepts are broken down into digestible nuggets to understand and ensure a strong foundation. It is cost-effective and provides practical methods of working. The learnings are easy to implement at work and will help improve efficiency. The electives that cover different industries are not well made. Very little industry-specific knowledge can be learned by completing the electives. Luckily these courses are part of the electives and not the main course. A few prep/core courses feel repetitive with limited value added. I liked the bite sized lesssons and well structured lesson plan. It walks you through step by step on what you need to do to learn the concept, theory and than practically evaluates you at the end of each course. You can run through it as many times as you like. I came into the program with an MBA and off a finance capstone course so I had some background but wouldn't call myself a finance professional by any means before this course at least. After passing my FMVA certification I do feel far more confident to tackle the financials of a company. The videos are clearly laid out and you have mini models and than complete a full size model. It's easy to follow along and builds your confidence. I am not a financial professional but would not have any qualms about sitting with a CFO after this course and talking shop. Yes I may still miss one or few things as I don't get to do modelling on a daily basis (for now) but I always know where to look for it with my CFI subscriptions which I plan to keep going as for 500$ a year this is a relatively affordable and worth it for me. I have recommended the subscription to two friends, one is on her way to do her CPA and the other is a Senior Product Manager. Both have also found tremendous value in the program. My main interested in CFI is the Financial Modeling but you do get access to about 6 other certifications as well that I may paruse but my focus is definitely on the finance side now. It's a lot of content, spread out of 4-5 months for me. It was very difficult to recall so much data for the final exam. I passed the final after a lot of blood, sweat and tears. I would say the final is definitely more difficult than the practice exam and it was nerve wracking to have my model crash during the exam but I was able to recover it thankfully which your taught how to do as well.
