## CrimeTracer Reviews
  ### 1. Wish more used it

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about CrimeTracer?**

Comprehensive database of LE contacts. Fairly intuitive and robust

**What do you dislike about CrimeTracer?**

Its not universally adopted. So, while it is a good program, it's not a one-stop-shop.

**What problems is CrimeTracer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a resource for determining an individual's contact with law enforcement, beyond just arrest data.

  ### 2. i2 Analysts Notebook in i2 Suite

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tommy S. | Criminal Intelligence Analyst II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2016

**What do you like best about CrimeTracer?**

I like the function of the i2 Analysts Notebook the best because it allows my agency to build complex link analysis charts and interface with the Records Management System and the Computer Aided Dispatch programs for a multitude of things. The look and feel of version 9 is also excellent and much more updated to feel more like a newer Microsoft product. I much prefer it over the previous versions.

**What do you dislike about CrimeTracer?**

I really have nothing bad to say about the program, except for an average user, it can be difficult to learn because the program allows you to do so much. I also use RF Flow and much prefer to use i2 Analysts Notebook. Even though many argue RF Flow is easier to use, I believe i2 is a more sound product with more features and a better feel and look overall.

**Recommendations to others considering CrimeTracer:**

Become very knowledgeable about i2 products and determine if you are a "techy" person or at least someone who can learn to build complex queries, especially if you are planning to use the i2 Analysts Notebook.

**What problems is CrimeTracer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work with a police agency so we are usually looking at suspects, victims, stolen property, involved vehicles, cell phones, etc. and usually the use of i2 is to assist us in building flow charts, as well as cell phone/link analysis charts and connect cases and persons.
