**What do you like best about Assembly?**

I love how easy Portal makes it for me to display information to my clients in an organized and elegant way. As a digital marketer who offers a lot of different services from branding and web design to research and strategy and search engine optimization there is a lot of information to convey. For the longest time, I have wanted to find a way to present deliverables and ongoing reporting in a way that was enjoyable and engaging for my clients to digest (ie. a dedicated client portal for each customer) vs the disjointed and undesirable form of communication that was via email and Google Drive folders.

While there are other options out there (ie. WordPress plugins, or even attempting to build my own Wordpress portal), I have yet to find anything as comprehensive, straight forward and as easy to setup as Portal.

Super excited to keep working with this tool, my clients are too!

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

Nothing yet! Although I haven't used every feature in Portal just yet, I can see a clear use case for them and while I'm sure I will find features I would like to see in the tool in the future, I have the utmost confidence that Marlon and the team will do everything they can to help make it a reality!

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems solved:
- More organized onboarding of new leads and projects.
- More organized delivery of services.
- More organized ability to upsell and bill for monthly services and packages.

I've searched and checked many platforms but none of them was as efficient as Portal. It works for both individuals and businesses.

I haven't seen anything bad yet. Everything works as I needed.

clients needed a secure portal to upload their documents and communicate via a safe platform. It is solved.

Payment integration with Stripe is hard to reconcile. I can not see which payments are being processed by Stripe.

Simple and easy to use. Im an average no-coder, and was able to create a pretty solid dashboard for my customers so they have one place to access all of their information (invoices, files, deliverables etc).

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

Looking forward to some more integrations. Would love to see native Monday.com integration, as well as a more robust, searchable, file sharing option. Looking forward to seeing this product evolve.

I like that I can see client files in one place, and clients can log in to see their own files.

no KBA for signatures. clients cant edit or save documents like excel within the portal. no reminders or to do items for clients.

documentation storage and security problems are being solved. Big worry off my plate

Easily obtain documents from clients. Sending required forms is simple. Getting paid via invoice helps with organization and no question marks on status of clients.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

Nothing that I've come across just yet. It seems like they make a lot of product updates - so it's nice to feel that your voice will be heard on any issues with this application.

Again, not too sure just yet. But it seems like they are on top of issues with responsiveness and always adding new/upcoming neat features on both client side and elsewise

It's super simple to use the platform. Client onboarding was simple and was able to hook up my domain in no time. Everything looks very professional.

I wish they had a smartphone app so its super easy for clients to manage on the go as well as me being able to manage everything on the go.

**Recommendations to others considering Assembly:**

This is a great client communication hub and portal for all your needs. For the price, its an amazing value add for your clients. They give a 14 day free trial as well so that was nice.

Client reporting and keeping everything organized so clients dont feel like its complex. I keep all monthly reporting in the dashboard for each client. Love it.

Marlon & Neil have been excellent. Marlon is highly engaged with the community, and you can tell he takes pride in his company. With starting a new business, it's hard to see who is trying to help you and navigate you in the right direction. Marlon answered all my questions promptly and, when I needed something, Marlon even had some help me instantly. For that, they have earned a lifelong client. Portal is super easy to navigate, and for my first client, they had nothing but high praises for the platform.  I greatly appreciate the service that I've received thus far. #Cheers to a successful 2022 Portal!

There is nothing about the service I dislike so far. Portal has a clear roadmap ahead, and I cannot wait to see what is coming for 2022 this company. With Portal being highly responsive to the community, it makes it more special to be with this company.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

The white label feature is my favorite, I enjoy being able to keep my branding consistent. 

The support and community are really great as well,  updates are released weekly, with full transparency.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I'm looking forward to making more use of the billing & invoicing system built into the app, but currently it doesn't have enough of the features I'm looking for, like subscriptions and products. These are features are coming out in a few months according to the company, so I'm looking forward to that. All previous dislikes were fixed with the weekly updates since my last review.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we were communicating with clients via email, Slack, Upwork, you name it. Now, we welcome all recurring clients to our Portal and keep our ongoing communication in one place. Clients also seem to enjoy the app as well!

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

The layout makes everything so straightforward for the client that there's no guessing where the client needs to go to do anything. Add the functionality and customizability of extensions for custom sidebar entries, and I couldn't be happier to be a Portal customer. Moreover, using Portal on a mobile device is far smoother than I expected it to be.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

The biggest downside to me is no chrome or windows notifications for updates while having Portal open in another tab. This functionality would make it so clients can rely on Portal simply by having it open vs the 5-minute delay before Portal sends a notification email to you / the client.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest pains throughout my career has been getting everyone I work on a project with to centralize their communications, be it requests, modifications, or approvals. We attempted using Slack but conversations blend, and you can't force people into using threads or keeping channel conversations to a specific topic. Portal allows placement of all of the *important* stuff in one spot without the expectation of instant replies that Slack and other chat programs intimate. Plus, the extensions add another level of service for the client that generally requires nothing more than some embed code. Since my team uses ClickUp to manage projects, this is especially helpful. We embed code for a public-facing production list in one extension. Another extension is a public-facing ClickUp Doc with links to all assets and a breakdown of project execution. Hence, there's never any question of where the client needs to go to find something (and that alone is a huge win.) I can't wait to try out connecting my Stripe account and sending invoices that way.

I have very little tech experience and I was able to set up a client portal in a short amount of time at a good cost. The customer service that I received from Marlon assured me, that I had indeed made the best choice for my business.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

At certain points, I wish I could have just called to talk to person but once again, Marlon was so efficient through email, that it made up for it.

I was able to integrate my personal forms into the portal. Everything that I wanted in a portal was realized with PORTAL.

It is extremely user friendly and also looks very smart and professional.  Basically, Portal makes me look great!

I didn't like that I couldn't choose services a la cart.... but then I talked to the Portal team and they fixed the issue for me and I couldn't be more thrilled!

There could be better features around billing/invoicing; however, the team at Portal is constantly looking to add new features and improve their software.

All of our clients are immediately onboarded into Portal where they can communicate with our team, see FAQ's, and pay their invoices. Portal allows our clients to add multiple members of their teams so everyone has insight into what is going on.

I have ZERO dislikes! I absolutely love the continued innovation of the product. The Team is incredible and they have our best interest at heart. They are interested in our feedback and adapt to the needs of clients.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

As the title states, when we deployed portal to our client base, we immediately got feedback saying how much they loved it. It is very easy to setup and use, has a clean and polished interface, and has all the necessities there for you to engage with your clients. 

My favorite part of portal is the real-time dashboards (ie, embedding of other pages). It looks clean and as a Cybersecurity consulting firm, it makes us look MUCH more professional compared to creating logins for our clients elsewhere. Being able to tell our clients to ALWAYS go to our portal domain for anything they might need is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

Portal is a bit pricy (as it's billed per internal user), however, I think that it will be justified as they continue to add features.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Combining various other tools that confused our client base. Being able to tell our clients to go to our portal for anything they need has helped tremendously with customer interactions.

it would be great to have a place to view all companies in the CRM instead of going to contacts CRM then seeing the companies. very small enhancement and defintiely not something people should be put off by if going to choose this. I still very much recommend this platform.

Portal is an amazing product - easy to use, customizable, sleek, modern, and built by people who know what they are doing! We can make the portal feel fully ownable and consolidate a lot of our customer journey into one place.

There are some limitations to the product since Portal is still early stage (analytics, embedding certain things, the CRM is limited) but they seem well aware of these and have plans to improve.

Portal has a highly engaged team who are constantly adding new features and integrations. The platform is simple to use and feature dense. The price is exceptional for the amount you get. My clients have reached out to tell me how easy it's made day-to-day communications. Furthermore, the Co-Founder Marlon is one of the most engaged and caring business owners I have had the pleasure to know. I wouldn't trust any other individuals with such responsibility over my business.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

G2 makes you put a dislike. Honestly every suggestion I've made the company have either delivered on or I've had a personal heartfelt response why they decided against it. I feel highly valued as a customer so dislike for me is hard. The only thing I wish for is more features which I know are coming soon!

**Recommendations to others considering Assembly:**

Tried many other client portals and none have been as flexible, simple, and well priced. I'll be sticking around because of the quality customer support.

Mostly, my team and I use portal to stay on top of communications with clients and provide a more professional experience which is lacking in our industry. With that in mind, we needed a tool that would be flexible and efficient. Portal certainly fits the bill! We're constantly in contact with said customers, so it is useful seeing a history of communications and separate tailored modules for each client to interact with.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

If there is one thing I know all business owners and consultants struggle with, it’s keeping client communications, files and billing organized. Some consultants can implement a filing system (digital/paper), where they share links to the Dropbox/Google folder and set reminders on a payment platform on when to send out the invoice.

Despite my 'be lean, efficient, organized' approach to my business, I’m not THAT organized or efficient to do so on my own, so I use Portal. This software allows my clients to access documents, pay their invoices, and message me all in one place.

I timed myself to see how long it would take to set up my account, and it took roughly 5 minutes. I love that Marlon, the founder/CEO sends relevant emails to me, including links to training and best practices. I went through the suggestions, and it's pretty intuitive and easy to implement.

In my business, when a prospect converts into a new client, I create a client account within Portal. The client gets a password-protected, encrypted link to Portal. Clients can access their portal anytime they wish.

It takes me about 3 minutes to create a new client account and upload relevant documents, and overall, the software is super easy to use. Most clients enjoy having a one-stop-shop to view information and handle payments.

Portal is slightly on the pricier side, but it is elegant, clean, and easy to use and provides that professional touch that our clients expect.

Portal keeps me organized by creating a space for our clients to view all important documents and pay their invoices. I no longer have to search through emails for information or try and remember where I filed a digital document. Portal keeps all of this in one place, and it's a HUGE time saver for me.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

We use Portal to provide our enterprise customers an elevated experience. Specifically, our portal gives them a single place from where they can pay invoices, see their signed contracts, schedule meetings with a customer success manager, and more. Customer feedback has been amazing from our enterprise clients. What we also like a lot is that the product is completely white-label, letting us customize it with our branding, connect our custom domain, and more. The support has also been excellent across the board.

The only feature we would really like to see is a mobile native app, which fortunately the Portal team is rolling out later this year.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

Before using client portals, I emailed all graphic design files over through Google Drive. This streamlines my process, as now I can send invoices, messages, and share files through this one application, and since day one, clients say they prefer it over having different links.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

The one thing I mentioned earlier to one of the founders, was that the file system is great, just wished it had a thumbnail preview as Google Drive does. Not a deal-breaker, just something I look forward to seeing!

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portal creates a streamlined process. I can send invoices over to clients, they have access to see their invoices for their tax purposes, rather than having to email it out of they lose the email, same with google drive links. It's just one link for scheduling, invoices, and accessing their graphic design files.

There are lots of capabilities in the product. Tried the Agenda template and it was quite intuitive and easy to use. The drawing capabilities are indeed very powerful and can be used widely in the field of Education.

It would be helpful to see some examples of how others are using the tool in different industry sectors. How to transform Visio drawings to this online product will be useful to know.

Evaluating Tools for Higher Education Teaching Purposes. Agenda, Planning, Document Sharing and Ability to build Block Diagrams, Flowchat logic, Algorithm Logic is of interest.

The only negative I can think of is the less robust library of integrations in comparison to some platforms.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

After months of research this is the only product in its class that looks and feels modern. We were able to get set up in 10 minutes and connect it with our marketing website without issues. The customization options made it possible for the portal to look perfectly on-brand so that the transition from website to portal is seamless.

We currently use the Files & eSignatures module, Billing module,  and the Messaging module for enterprise contracts and support.

Nothing to dislike yet. Everything is working great.

Our business problem to solve centered on providing a consistent engagement model with customers. Previously, we used a mix of email, Microsoft Teams, shared documents, you name it. With Portal, every engagement follows a consistent pattern, which has made us far more productive.

Portal adds features every week, but I'd love to see a commenting system in place for file sharing. I'm sure they'll get there as the leadership team is very involved in the user community.

I've exhausted the other client portal systems currently on the market and within this pricepoint. Many are so feature-rich, the setup process requires a Youtube education; Portal does not. If you're seeking a client portal that can be set up quickly and represents your company's brand/feel, Portal should be one of your top considerations.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to streamline processes and greatly increase efficiencies. During a higher growth stage, it's imperative to have duplicable processes in place and Portal will be the cornerstone and conduit of communication for our clients.

**What do you like best about Assembly?**

I don't think it's truly possible to purchase a 100% perfect off-the-shelf solution for KM & Client reporting, because every business is different, and every business has its own unique requirements- but Portal comes fairly close by allowing users to link in external content as Extensions. These extensions can be local or global, thus applying either to a specific client or all clients within the product. Extensions are really a phenomenal standout feature.

I fully expect that this approach to extensions will become a dominant concept in this space- because it's really the best solution for customers. If I have the ability to create one reporting dashboard that holds all of my customers and allows me to show certain pages to certain customers, I can deliver value with way less operational complexity and administrative hassle.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

I don't like how the Knowledge Hub is globalized, meaning all clients experience the same access to all of the content within the knowledge hub. It would be better if customers saw customer-specific content in the event that your customers are segmented into different product groups etc. There are workarounds for this, fortunately.

**Recommendations to others considering Assembly:**

If you have a service-oriented business that is trying to modernize its offering, Portal can help. Be sure to have access to some web development expertise though, as you may need to do some technical work to get the system set up perfectly.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company sells a fairly complex product that needs effective reporting and communication with the client, while also delivering a strong user experience. Portal allows us to do all of that without having to build everything from scratch internally. This saves us weeks of development costs & upkeep.

The IT help from the company was efficient.  The upside to Portal is the simplicity of integration.

There is nothing specific to dislike as of now; however, I suggest that the Portal team continue to assess their clients needs on a case by case basis.

RADE LLC is a testing laboratory required to have a secure, direct, and efficient company to client platform. RADE LLC holds the ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 certificate for Chemical Testing; therefore, all analytical reports are now considered legal documents. 

The problem RADE LLC had was securely sending/receiving legal documents and accepting payments for services with a platform that was efficient and simple. Many of the CRM platforms are great, but they are not able to be designed for unique and niche companies. 

RADE LLC does not manufacture, provide products, or perform ecommerce. RADE LLC provides a highly specialized service to clients taken on a case by case basis. The realized benefit of Portal is that the company and client can chat directly, and this communication is suitable for audit trails.

To be honest we looked around at other similar products and were most impressed by how simple amd user friendly Portal is. Beyond that we are a small company that is shifting online and Marlin (CEO) has met with us several times to understand our needs and to help us problem solve. He takes our feedback and tries to create new functions to serve our needs. This is amazing! I am sincerely impressed with how willing the team at Portal is to serve the needs of their clients and accommodate them. Amazing experience.

Continuous product improvements and amazing customer support. My team and I feel like this is a tool that can really help our business scale. 

Their existing Quickbooks integration is incredible, it helps streamline the entire financial flow working with our clients. 

Easy interface that takes little to no time to learn, and can be customized to fit your business with just a little creativity!

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

There are some unusual edge cases that we've come across using the platform, but they are all very minor. In fact, after seeing that the invoicing functionality only allowed whole integers instead of partial quantities (especially useful for hourly billing), I messaged Portal and within minutes they replied and said it was a feature they could develop in just a few days. Amazing!

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a branding agency and needed a place to track clients while also sharing files, capturing payment, and centralizing messaging. All of those (ALL!) are taken care of now with Portal.

Portal is a great white label client portal. After a month of searching, they were the only ones providing niche functions such as the ability to create custom forms within the app that we can assign to clients and have the results saved / stored to their profiles. The development team is also a pleasure to work with and are amazingly responsive.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

Considering it's still a relatively new company, I know features will be implemented further on down the road so I can't say there isn't anything I dislike. Just a matter of waiting for certain functions to be added in due time.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to centralize communication, file storage / management, create custom forms, and offset a client portal to a 3rd party platform were all the problems I was trying to solve. It's also a great added value we can offer to our clientele.

We are very happy with Portal so far. In the past, we used separate services for messaging (Intercom), file-sharing (Dropbox), and billing (Bill.com), but Portal brings all three together in a way where clients just have to manage a single account. The best part is that our portal is fully customizable (log in screens, color scheme, emails, etc.) and that we can connect a custom domain.

We are waiting for the QuickBooks Online integration. The team has said will be delivered in the next 6 weeks.

We have tried so many customer portal products and what sets this one apart is modern design that is expected in 2021. To us, our portal is a reflection of our brand (just like our website), and so great product design is absolutely paramount.

We have been extremely happy with Portal. At our company, we frequently invoice customers and in the past the experience of paying us was never as seamless as our product. With Portal, we were able to quickly set up a customized billing portal that captured our brand and made it easy for clients to pay us. We were also able to set this billing portal up on our own custom domain, which made the experience for our clients even better because it conveyed security.

So far we have only enabled the Billing module, but one of the things our team is excited about is eventually trying out some of the other modules as well.

**What do you dislike about Assembly?**

There is currently no option for clients to make partial payments so you have to create multiple invoices. The team has said they are working on this feature.

**What problems is Assembly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a solution that makes it easy for clients to pay us and that's exactly what we got. Clients can now pay us on our own website with credit card or ACH and everything, including the email notifications, are branded to our company. Some clients have even paid us directly from their mobile phones, which was inconceivable with the arcane software we were using before.

The platform is easy to use and set up! I didn't have any problems getting branding and having the domain set up either. The support team is quick to respond and the sales process was not pushy at all. I love how I don't need a tutorial or expensive add-ons to have a full experience with Portal.

Because the company is continuing to evolve and grow there are new features down the pipeline being implemented. Some features are still in beta so development is needed in a few areas.

I realized one benefit of the Portal software is the easy ability to set up a landing page. This is solving the problem of website design and getting something online in a matter of Minutes.

We were looking for an all-in-one client portal product to message clients, share files, requests signatures, and invoice clients. This product does all of these things in a way that is seamless. Instead of long email threads with clients, all of that is now centralized.

I love everything about the Client Portal. I love that the developers listen to their clients needs and make adjustments as to what is going to be beneficial for their clientele’s usage of the portal.

Do but have any dislikes live everything about it!  It’s exactly what I needed.

I’m able to condense all my pay outs for services to just one payment and get everything I need right here with portal. It allows my clients to feel important with access to their documents as well as communication access to me quicker than usual.
