I've purchased latest version of Copernic 8 (the one that claims to have fixed the problem with existing index files with partially deleted references) and installed with the Copernic 6 index file remaining on the system. Software did install, but did not run and crashed consistently in latest version of Windows 10. Asked Technical Support for help - no response after 1 week. Lousy. No support or respect for the user: my computer crashed and I need to reinstall it; the licence doesn't activate (it's connected to the previous installation that doesn't exist any more) and repeted tickets and e-mails remain without answer after a week! They also offer a number if want to talk to a human: answer machine that says it will open a ticket for your! Final balance: I can't use the solution I just bought! Copernic is a great tool to search all the files on your computer. In my book, it's a must have. It can handle massive amount of emails and files. I have over 1.5 million emails & files in various formats, like PST and Thunderbird and is relativly fast. The fact that it can scan and index within word or pdf is great. I have used coopernic for a numbe of years. The new version was able to use old index file rather than have to reindex.
