With the new website, the installation was effortless. I had previously had issues with other cookie plugins that conflicted with contact form 7 and left code on the site after uninstalling, but this one worked just fine. Hence, I decided to use it for the older site too. With the older site, the installation was not so straight forward due to conflicts with CSS, but I worked with Ryan in support, and he was very responsive. He sent me new scripts that do work, and I can make updates via my account. With regards to the cookies list that is auto-generated, this is pretty good too. On both occasions, it picked up most of the cookies correctly during the scan (I cross-referenced to be certain). The only missing cookies were those for administrators. As a result of my experience of Cookie Yes versus other plugins, I highly recommend this one. Please note I am referring to the free versions, but I may upgrade at some point. **What do you dislike about CookieYes?** The only issue I had was with the styling and integration on an old site, which to be honest is problematic anyway, so I was surprised we found a solution at all without having to enlist a developer. **What problems is CookieYes solving and how is that benefiting you?** GDPR compliance across a UK and Global website. ### 2. This is how it can stop third-party tracking when a visitor does not consent. We caused an issue on our website by including invalid HTML in our document which caused the parser to fail and break the page. After watching the video, I was able to set up the plugin using just minutes. All I have to do will be to use defaults. Since I will use only necessary cookies on my site, I will change the message under the 'Customize Cookie Bar' to reflect that. The basic banner option is free. For a site on the west region, I chose both GDPR and CCPA option although CCPA does not apply to my site. **What do you dislike about CookieYes?** The free basic banner does not provide consent log, and no description of such option was mentioned in the video. I will have to go through the 'Free vs Pro' options to find this out. This makes the free version less useful if I enable other cookies such as Google Analytics since this will make my site not GDPR compliance if more than necessary cookies or scripts are enabled. I cannot show any evidence of user consenting to other cookies. Has all the functionality I needed to be GDPR compliant with cookies use. Received very helpful customer support over email even though I was on the free plan - they helped me fix a problem I had with Google Tag Manager firing before CookieYes - they told me what to add to the code to fix it and it worked. This is the best cookies tool I have used. **What do you dislike about CookieYes?** Unfortunately for Squarespace users, you cannot block Squarespace's own analytics cookies with CookieYes (probably no other third-party tool would work either as you can't edit the script, it's built in). If you use Google Analytics this shouldn't be an issue and you can just disable Squarespace's analytics. **What problems is CookieYes solving and how is that benefiting you?** Provide privacy controls for our users and ensure GDPR compliance while using third-party cookies such as Google Analytics, in a Squarespace site. The only one I say that not only blocks but also reloads only the scripts that you use so they collect the data after the user accepts it, without reloading the whole page. **What do you dislike about CookieYes?** It was not clear to me how I could add a Facebook Pixel to the page that was supported by the plug-in. That was why I contacted the support since I thought I could install the Pixel using another plug-in, and the CookieYes would recognize it, but actually, I can put the Pixel script directly into CookieYes, the downside is that you can't manage the pixel to get more or specific data. **What problems is CookieYes solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was perfect for making my website respect the LGPD (Brasilian laws of data privacy and security). ### 48.
