Horrible support and random service disruptions **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2023 **What do you like best about ConvertAPI?** High fidelity API when it works......... **What do you dislike about ConvertAPI?** Horrible support - do not reply for days Even a single failed payment means your production service will stop working and their support wont reply We asked to be upgraded to enterprise but they refused and said get on yearly plan there wont be service disruptions. That was not true. Reach out to support to upgrade to enterprise took 2 weeks to get a response **What problems is ConvertAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?** The API works for DOCX to PDF conversions except when it doesn't and then they take months to fix ### 2. Bad Customer Support **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Jeremy H. | CEO & Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2021 **What do you like best about ConvertAPI?** Their API converted our PDFs to Powerpoint very accurately except for the fonts, and it was pretty easy to integrate with. **What do you dislike about ConvertAPI?** Customer support did not respond to multiple reach-outs between May 27 and June 11, and they now appear to have stopped replying to me completely. The only issue we had with their service was that the fonts embedded in our PDFs were not being used in the converted Powerpoint. I was told that normally you have to pay 300 EUR a month (a much higher plan than we otherwise need) to upload fonts, but that in my case they would add our two fonts on their "next system update" This was on May 27th. I continued to follow-up for the next two weeks asking for updates and got no responses. Finally on June 11, I was just told it would be installed on their "next system update" but that they couldn't give me any ETA. I pressed them on this because we are a software company trying to launch a feature, and needed some idea of the time frame. And so far I've gotten zero responses back from their support team. Now we are probably going to have to switch to a different service. I would have rather they just told me "no" originally, as we've now wasted time integrating with their service and will have to rip it out and start over. **Recommendations to others considering ConvertAPI:** If it works out of the box, great.
