Access is read-only, it follows each user's existing ContractHero permissions, and it queries live data rather than a one-time export. Companies that cannot use external AI tools use the built-in AI assistant inside ContractHero instead. What does the in-contract AI assistant do? Users ask a contract a question and get the answer with a source reference. Every reference is a link that opens the document at the exact passage cited. The assistant does not search the internet, it works only with the data in the contract. Chats are private to each user, the organisation owner cannot see them. Custom reports with charts, filters and grouping, plus alert thresholds surfaced on the dashboard. Formula fields for calculated values, for example annual value derived from a monthly rate. AI-suggested contract categories on upload, which removes most manual sorting when 50 to 100 contracts are onboarded at once. Duplicate detection with a side-by-side comparison screen. Task automation and bulk editing of contracts and tasks. Notifications and open tasks delivered into Slack. Calendar views with iCal subscription for Outlook, Google Calendar and Apple Calendar. REST API and role-based permissions. Security and compliance ISO 27001 certified for both software and company, extended by ISO 27017 and ISO 27018 for cloud security and CSA STAR CCM v4.0. GDPR, EU AI Act and GoBD requirements are met. Each company sets its own retention period for deleted contracts, anywhere from 1 to 3,650 days. Deletion can be made subject to approval.
