The database was planned to be used to understand the competitor positioning in the market, overall go-to-market approach, strategy (internal/ external), investment focus, and other factors. To build the ideal database we wanted to collate information from all sources (competitor websites (global, regional, country-level), external sources, blogs, etc.) and tag the articles at a granular level to leverage the flexibility of tagging across different service-lines and functions across the firm. Solution: Contify provides us the one-stop-shop experience while collating information from multiple source streams across 80+ competitors. Information is updated on an almost real-time basis and is available 24x7 to us. It further eliminates the noises in the information collated and gives us almost relevant and actionable intelligence. The ML and AI capability tag the information to the granular level which makes it useful across service lines and functions in our firm. The real benefit is much more than what could be expressed in words. From the very first day, the system gives you real-time insights. Contify helped me significantly reduce manual effort from my 'comp intelligence' efforts, and its triggers helped the analysts stay engaged and catch the latest updates, even when things are busy. Marketing, product marketing, and sales teams either spend a couple of hours every day collating information of competitors and kay target accounts or they don't do it at all. Contify takes the leg work out of this and serves this information on a platter. I love their watchlist where I can just add a bunch of companies to different lists and it'll start tracking them for me. The email alerts are the key benefit – everything in your inbox, every day at 8am in the morning. **What do you dislike about Contify?** Would be cool to get alerts on WhatsApp and on Slack. **What problems is Contify solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were using Contify as Smokescreen for two use cases: 1. Keep up on competitors – Product marketing is responsible for competitive intelligence and building battle cards. It's difficult to keep track of everything your competitors are doing. Contify made that simple. I just created a watchlist and Contify would send daily email alerts on competitor activity. Every morning, I'd know what my competitors published on social media, what blog posts they wrote, if there was any PR, or if they launched a new feature. 2. Sales enablement – Our sales team used Contify to stay on top of their target accounts and industry news. They used the information collated by Contify to engage these accounts when there was a conversation trigger or they came across an interesting piece of industry news or analyst commentary. Contify made is very simple for our sales team to do this. Before, they would spend some time every day researching ways to reach out to existing accounts and reactivate old ones. Over a period of time, I had multiple calls with CEO and account management team, and I never got any dull response.
