Having everything I need to change multiple areas of the website in one CMS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

Takes too long to get a story ready to be published

Backend often doesn't correspond with front end in terms of location of the sections/buttons that make up a published article

Too many unnecessary buttons/options in article creation process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that having everything you need in one CMS.

We’re sorry to hear about the frustrations you’ve experienced with story setup time, backend/front-end alignment, and the number of steps in the article creation process. Our product and UX teams are actively reviewing ways to streamline authoring workflows and reduce unnecessary complexity, so your feedback is incredibly valuable.

We’d also love the opportunity to better understand your specific use case and observe where these slowdowns are happening. Two of our team members, Lo Etheridge, Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager and Tim Benniks, Developer Experience Lead, would love to meet with you one-on-one to observe your workflow, document what you’re seeing, and ensure you’re fully supported. You can reach them directly at lo.etheridge@contentstack.com and tim.benniks@contentstack.com to set up a convenient time. "User friendly, but sometimes slow/buggy"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

Easy to use, advanced search functionality is good, timeline and version comparison is useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

Buggy and slow at times. Publishing, unpublishing and release finctionalities are unreliable (recurrent issues with them). If an entry is referenced in a lot of components, it's difficult to reverse search Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack

"ContentStack: Leader in CMS platforms"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

The API driven focus is unlike any other out there. The composibility and experience first focus makes ContentStack a true leader in the industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

The downside is that you have to truly understand the business needs in order to properly structure your stack. Contentstack is so versatile that you can easily design a poor editor experience with data model decisions early in a project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful if set up correctly"
What do you like best about Contentstack?

I like that it’s so customizable. So long as you have developer support, you can create almost anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentstack?

Depending on how developers set up the backend experience, it can be a pain to edit content. One site over utilizes accordions and dropdowns, so it’s easy to get lost when editing a page if you don’t close the accordions as you go. But even worse is another site that has too much nesting/references. To create an accordion, we have the item for the headline, an item for the accordion, and individual items for each accordion tab. That gets messy FAST.

So a developer that doesn’t understand Contenstack best practices is dangerous. It creates a lot of tech debt and a poor content editor experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bianca Anderson of Contentstack
