## About Contentstack
Contentstack is redefining how modern digital experiences are built and managed. As the pioneer of the Agentic Experience Platform (AXP), Contentstack brings together structured content and brand governance (Content Cloud), real-time customer data, omnichannel personalization (Data Cloud) and autonomous AI orchestration (Agent OS) into one unified system. While many organizations adopted headless CMS or standalone AI tools expecting transformation, they often found themselves managing disconnected systems and manual workflows. Contentstack helps enterprises move beyond that complexity by connecting content, data and AI in a way that makes digital experiences faster to launch, easier to manage and more adaptive in real time. Leading brands including Steve Madden, LG Electronics, Subaru of America, Dolce & Gabbana, 1-800-Flowers, Decathlon, and Caesars Entertainment rely on Contentstack to reduce operational friction and deliver personalized, scalable digital experiences with confidence. The company is known for its customer-first culture and commitment to the communities it serves through the Contentstack Cares program. Learn more at https://www.contentstack.com.

## Contentstack Reviews
 ### 1. Still working around issues, but I get things done

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

I use Contentstack almost every workday, and although there are things about it that could be improved, I can generally do what I need to do without any major delays or frustrations. Simple content updates are relatively quick and easy. Depending how your applications are set up, workflows can be efficient. The option to save, publish live, or publish to preview/test environments is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

One of my applications is set up in a very convoluted way, and it would take significant, expensive developer time to fix it. We don't even have access to a development environment to make simple changes, which means we're left to make do. There are also parameters that are frustratingly inaccessible. Additionally, we have a misalignment between master entries and localizations in two of our applications, and Contentstack still has not helped us resolve this issue after more than a year. It creates inefficiencies and confusion. This means job security for me, but it also means the learning curve is prohibitively steep for any part-time or temporary user. Finally, although they seem to have worked on the search function over the last year or so, I still find it lacking. It's not smart enough. The rich text editor is also still cumbersome here and there.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Contentstack to manage content for one of our websites and to develop a web-based guided selling tool. Other divisions in the company also use it for similar things.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback and for using Contentstack as part of your daily work, we truly appreciate your honesty and your continued commitment to getting things done, even when challenges arise.

We’re sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve faced with localization alignment and application setup. That’s not the seamless experience we aim to deliver, and we’d love the opportunity to understand your situation in more depth so we can help resolve it.

Two of our team members, Lo Etheridge, Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager and Tim Benniks, Developer Experience Lead, would love to meet with you one-on-one to observe your workflow, document what you’re seeing, and ensure you’re fully supported. You can reach them directly at lo.etheridge@contentstack.com and tim.benniks@contentstack.com to set up a convenient time. Thank you for being part of our community and helping us make the platform even better.

 ### 2. Effortless Website Updates and Impressive Speed Boost

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

It has increased our site speed, it makes updating our website quick and easy in many ways.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

I think the future scheduling system could be reworked to make it easier to manage future updates and the preview functionality needs to be 1:1 to what the site will look like and there are a few features (side bars) on the Timeline page that prevent you from being able to do a true preview (it's close, but to truly preview a future update, you need to be able to see it 1:1)

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Site speed increased significantly. Updates to site are faster and easier than before.

 ### 3. Friendly CMS interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

I like the options for content model setup as well as the ability to specifically target different environments for publishing. The interface is fairly clean and easy to interact with as well. The api options have also integrated fairly easily with our apis for updates and content retrieval.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

I think the localization can lead to some accidental issues if you are handling multiple locales. Other tools I have used allow fields that match to still be in sync even if the locale has been split so that updates after initial creation and splitting don't require duplicate effort.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contentstack is going to serve as our primary Content Management Service for our website, already holding the models for several different pages and components, but currently we are moving more to setup there. This allows our business to more easily update content without needing someone well versed in html writing.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive feedback about Contentstack! We're thrilled to hear that you appreciate the user-friendly interface, content model setup options, and seamless integration with APIs. We understand your concerns about localization issues and duplicate efforts. Our team is continuously working to enhance our platform and address such feedback to provide a smoother experience for our users. If you have any specific suggestions or further feedback, please feel free to reach out to our support team or your Customer Success Manager. We are here to assist you in maximizing the benefits of Contentstack for your website's content management needs. Thank you for choosing Contentstack!

 ### 4. Empowers Teams with Flexible, User-Friendly Website Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diana C. | Growth Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Contentstack helps our team streamline website management across our department. Its headless CMS is flexible which allows us to build fast, while the marketing team manages content independently. You also don't have to be extremely technical to work daily in the platform which is a huge benefit.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

If we want to build out additional modules, it does require dev work to complete.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seamless website management for every member of our marketing department. Anyone is able to go in to publish and make updates as needed.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback! We understand the need for additional dev work for building out modules and are continuously working to improve our platform to address such concerns.

 ### 5. Facilitate Content Management with Quick Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maykon M. | Software Developer

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

I like Contentstack for its simplicity in content management, which solves many problems we had with controls and publications. The tool also brings useful updates like versioning, which is a significant advancement. The speed of support is another extremely positive point, with almost instantaneous feedback.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

I think the content references can be improved. They have been quite challenging, especially when it comes to searching for content at various levels. The number of references in the page content types can reach a limit that returns unexpected errors for users. The limitations in the reference fields are something I would like to see improved, especially for large-scale projects.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contentstack simplifies content management and publishing, solving old problems and improving control, benefiting my team with its features.

 ### 6. User-friendly interface for all levels

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsay G. | Website Coordinator, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Once past the learning curve, contentstack is really easy to navigate. Unlike other CMSs, contentstack is quite forgiving. Out of all the years I've worked with contentstack, i have been impressed by their reliability. Contentstack makes building page a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

If I run into any issues, I do have to expect a long wait time for support. I have waited over a month for resolution to issues, forcing me to find a workaround.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As our business grows, so do our content needs. Contentstack’s headless CMS architecture allows for easy scaling, accommodating increased content volume and complexity without requiring a complete overhaul of the system.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience and for highlighting Contentstack’s ease of use and reliability, it’s wonderful to hear that our platform continues to make building and scaling content effortless for your growing business.

We’re sorry to hear about your past experience with support wait times. Our team is dedicated to providing faster, more proactive assistance, and we’re continually improving our response and resolution times. We truly appreciate your partnership and your trust in Contentstack as your headless CMS.

 ### 7. Easy Language Switching That Just Works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

How easy it is to switch to different languages

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

Some functions are not automated yet, such as the simultaneous setup of publishing and unpublishing banners

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is making my job faster and less time consuming

 ### 8. Contentstack platform review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

The AI features and the simplicity of the translation process stand out, and I also find the translations to be quite accurate.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

Sometimes, it takes a while for certain locales to update the content, which can be frustrating. Additionally, there are occasions when it seems like the system acts unpredictably, failing to add bullet points to the content even though they are clearly indicated in the CMS.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate how simple it is to use the translation options for the copy we include in our articles. The automation of user journeys is also a great feature, as it makes it much easier to target the right audience and should help improve conversions. Additionally, there are frequent updates on the latest technology and capabilities, which keeps us well informed.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with our AI features and translation process. We understand the frustration of content update delays and system unpredictability, and we're actively working to address these issues. Your feedback is valuable to us as we continue to enhance our platform's capabilities.

 ### 9. Excellent Versioning, Clean UX, and Smooth Collaboration in Contentstack

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Luxury Goods & Jewelry | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Contentstack’s versioning is excellent. Precise diffs and easy rollbacks make collaboration smooth. The interface handles large content volumes well, with smart filters and a clean UX that helps you find exactly what you need fast. Documentation is thorough and clear, so onboarding is quick. Setting up live preview with Nuxt was straightforward, saving us time and hassle.
A great choice for teams needing a scalable, user-friendly headless CMS.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

The sheer number of features can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially if you’re coming from a “simpler” CMS like Strapi or even WordPress.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It handles everything we need even integration with Cloudinary for instance.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for the thoughtful review and for highlighting versioning, collaboration, and the overall user experience.

We also appreciate your feedback on the learning curve. With a powerful, feature-rich platform, getting oriented can take time and we’re continuously working to make that experience smoother. If helpful, our Contentstack Academy offers guided learning paths and resources to get teams up to speed quickly and to learn more about our features: contentstack.com/academy

Thanks again for sharing your experience, we appreciate your feedback!

 ### 10. User-friendly CMS with reusable elements, but decentralised localisation needs efficiency

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Contentstack, in itself, is a user-friendly CMS with a clear, logical approach to inheritance and reusable elements.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

How can Contentstack contribute and create efficiency when using it from a decentralised point of view. When you localise everything. And the ability to adapt more to AI needs.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to create localised content, and create product pages and non-product pages

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We're glad to hear Contentstack’s reusable elements and structured approach have helped your team manage and create localized content.

We also appreciate your input around improving efficiency for decentralized localization workflows and evolving AI capabilities. Feedback like this helps guide how we continue to improve the platform.

Thanks again for your review and for being part of the Contentstack community.

 ### 11. Flexible and Intuitive Headless CMS, but Setup and Pricing Can Be Challenging

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

What I like best about Contentstack is its headless architecture, which makes it extremely flexible for managing and delivering content across multiple platforms. The user interface is intuitive, and the API-driven model allows developers and content teams to work independently without blocking each other. I also appreciate how customizable and scalable it is, which makes it suitable for both small projects and enterprise-level deployments.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

The API configuration and environment setup can take time, especially for teams without strong technical experience. Additionally, pricing can feel high for smaller organizations, and some advanced features (like complex automation or granular permissions) require extra configuration or developer involvement.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves multi-channel content delivery and collaboration challenges, improving efficiency and consistency across platforms.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Contentstack has been beneficial in solving your multi-channel content delivery and collaboration challenges, improving efficiency and consistency across platforms. We acknowledge the difficulties with API configuration and pricing, and we're actively working to enhance the onboarding experience and provide more transparent and adaptable pricing options.

 ### 12. Enterprise powerhouse: Unbeatable scale, but bulk operations need TLC

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

It's the only CMS that makes my job of managing 100 + global sites feel truly seamless; the built-in localization and multisite features are a game-changer for speed. I love that my marketing team can now just grab the content "bricks" and build campaign pages autonomously without needing a developer for every single tweak. Its enterprise scalability and reliable performance mean we can push global campaigns live with total confidence.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

The limitations on bulk operations are the least helpful aspect; having to manually publish entries in small batches of 10 or 20 for large campaigns on 110 sites is a real bottleneck. Also, the Asset Manager can be clunky and buggy, often requiring workarounds to properly search for or upload creative files.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It moves us from a slow, fragmented system to a single, governed source of truth. We can now create a master piece of content once and syndicate/localize it to all 30+countries much faster, which is critical for compliance and accelerating global marketing campaign launches. This has dramatically reduced content duplication and the reliance on central developers for local-market updates.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Contentstack has been a game-changer for managing your 100+ global sites and enabling your marketing team to work autonomously. We appreciate your feedback on bulk operations and the Asset Manager, and we'll share this with our team for further improvement.

 ### 13. Great system, very flexible, but takes some getting used to

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve C. | Manager of Ecommerce, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Interface has improved and flexibility for developers is very good. Users will need to know what areas to interface with to make updates and changes, but once mapped out it's very good for content implementation.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

There are still several areas that are "closed" when a user enters to make changes or create new content. Tracking, for example, is on a single line of closed content with the same color background as the interface, very easy to overlook.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Once the user gains sufficient experience the system is actually fairly intuitive and making updates can be both fast and easy to execute. Being able to set up multiple content areas and schedule changes in advance is a critical feature for our use.

 ### 14. Thoughtfully Designed Interface That’s Easy to Navigate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Cosmetics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

The interface is thoughtfully designed and easy to navigate

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

all is good and I really like it, so I won't add any

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It centralizes our content in one place and makes it easy to distribute it consistently across web, mobile, and other platforms. This has improved our workflow efficiency and reduced the time needed to publish and update content.

 ### 15. CMS Expert Endorsement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cooper G. | Institutional and FinTech Content Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Clear and easy-to-use structure. I've used dozens of CMS throughout my career and ContentStack is the best so far.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

I think that headless CMS should have a tree or folder-based option for ease of organization. Would be a nice add.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use. I was able to build out my content with minimal training.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Hi Cooper, thank you for the thoughtful review. We really appreciate your perspective, especially given your experience working across multiple CMS platforms.

We’re glad to hear the structure and ease of use stood out to you and that you were able to build with minimal training.

Regarding your feedback on tree or folder-based organization: Taxonomy provides hierarchical structures that support tree-style organization within the entry list page view, helping teams manage and filter content more effectively. You can learn more about how it works here:
https://www.contentstack.com/docs/developers/taxonomy/about-taxonomy

We appreciate you calling this out feedback directly influences how we continue to improve the product.

Thanks again for sharing your experience!

 ### 16. Great Search, but Copy-Paste Formatting Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin C. | Marketing Business Development Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

The search function does an excellent job of finding exactly what I need.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

When I copy content from an external source, all the links and formatting are removed. This makes it inconvenient, as I have to manually reapply any formatting or add the links back in.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using the authoring mode to prepare articles and edit pages on our website makes it possible for us to submit content for approval.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We're glad to hear that you find our search function helpful. We understand the inconvenience of losing formatting when copying content from external sources. Our team is constantly working on improving this feature to provide a seamless experience for our users.

If you encounter any issues or have suggestions for improvement, please feel free to reach out to our support team. We appreciate your input as it helps us enhance our platform for all users. Thank you for choosing Contentstack for your content management needs!

 ### 17. Contentstack offers a robust and flexible headless CMS experience with powerful APIs and workflows

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hari A. | Full Stack Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Fully headless — decouples content from presentation.
Modular blocks and references support complex structures.
Reusable content types save time and enforce consistency.
Approval workflows streamline content publishing.
Easy environment management (dev, staging, production).

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

The interface can feel cluttered or overwhelming, especially for non-technical users.
Field-level customization is limited.
No real-time editing or conflict resolution — multiple users editing the same entry can overwrite each other

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Decoupling content from frontend development, allowing content teams to work independently of developers.
Streamlining editorial workflows with approval processes, roles, and permissions.
Editors can publish without dev involvement.
Clean API-first approach supports any frontend tech stack (e.g., Next.js, React, etc.).

 ### 18. A powerful tool to manage content in multiple languages

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

I've been using Contentstack for a while now, and overall, it's been a really positive experience. One of the things I appreciate most is how user-friendly the interface is—it doesn’t take long to get comfortable navigating around and managing content. It’s intuitive enough that even team members who aren’t super technical can jump in and contribute without much of a learning curve.
Another big plus is the range of add-on apps available. For example, the tools for managing translations have been incredibly helpful for our multilingual content. It’s great to have those capabilities built right into the platform rather than relying on external tools or workarounds.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

The bulk actions feature is a time-saver when working with large sets of entries or assets, but I do think there’s potential to take it even further. If bulk actions could be expanded to handle more complex tasks or offer more customization, it would make the platform even more powerful and efficient.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Contentstack’s headless architecture, we can create content once and reuse it wherever we need—web, mobile, etc. Also, managing multilingual content used to be a headache. Contentstack’s integration with translation tools has made that so much smoother. We can now manage translations directly within the platform, which saves time and ensures consistency across languages.

 ### 19. Straightforward and Beginner-Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

It's pretty straightforward. Easy for new learners

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

I think sometimes publishing is delayed. It can be slow at times

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just webstack organization. I have never used before but it's been great for the company I work for

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for the great review. We're glad to hear Contentstack has been straightforward and easy to learn for your team.

We also appreciate the feedback on publishing delays. It may be helpful to connect with your Customer Success Manager to review your setup and see if there are ways to improve publishing performance.

Thanks again for sharing your experience and for being part of the Contentstack community.

 ### 20. Clean interface and easy to use. Highly recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nur Fathin Z. | Marketing & Business Development Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

I love the user interface and how clean it looks. Very easy for someone dealing with a content management system for the first time to understand the various functions are.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

Sometimes formatting after publishing to authoring can get a bit fiddly.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content can be managed centrally and delivered consistently across all digital touchpoints, this ensures a consistent user experience.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you find Contentstack's interface clean and user-friendly. We appreciate your feedback on formatting issues and will certainly look into ways to improve this aspect for a smoother experience.

Ensuring a consistent user experience across all digital touchpoints is a key benefit of Contentstack, and we're glad to hear that it's helping you manage content centrally. If you encounter any further challenges or have suggestions for improvement, please feel free to reach out to our support team. We're here to assist you every step of the way.

 ### 21. Everyday Contentstack user

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ray v. | Website and CMS Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

The simplicity of multi-local publication of pages.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

The CMS search functionality, I feel this can be made better especially when refining search filters.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi-local content publishing and Governance is a big part of our business, Contentstack makes it easy to publish content to each individual local. These improvements have significantly boosted efficiency, cutting upload time by half and reducing developer backlog.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand the importance of refining search filters and are committed to making improvements in this area. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to enhance the CMS search functionality for a better user experience.

 ### 22. Simplicity at its best

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Belle C. | Digital product owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Contentstack feels like a win for anyone who wants a straightforward, user-friendly CMS. The interface is very intuitive so pushing content to my sites was a breeze thanks to its headless setup. As a tool I rely on daily, the integration into regular workflows is always smooth. Contentstack handles repetitive tasks with consistency and speed.

One feature I really appreciate is the user group management. I could assign different access levels—like “Content Manager” or “Developer”—right from the dashboard, no fuss. The ability to create custom roles also means I can fine-tune who sees what, down to specific entries or fields, which keeps things organized and secure.

It’s been a time-saver for me and my team to manage our projects.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

The initial learning curve can be more demanding than anticipated. The basics are simple, but configuring content models requires more adjustments and demanding a learning curve.

The API rate limits are sometimes a headache to the team. During high-demand scenarios, hitting the rate cap poses the occasional technical hurdles that disrupts the workflow.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First, team coordination. With its user group management, I can assign different roles to different team members, so in terms of structure, we can avoid overlap or confusion.

Second, inflexible content systems and limited scalability. With the setup, I can build and manage web content once and scale it across pages or even new channels without starting over. Also, I don't have to work with rigid templates anymore.

 ### 23. Great Shopify Connection, But Multi-Language Setup Can Be Time-Consuming

I like the way of working so perfect.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

There is nothing I don't like, because they have everything I need.

 ### 26. Easy to develop with and Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph S. | Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

As a product manager, I like the flexibility that Content stack provides us to develop and implement components with and the ease of use for business to update content on the platform.

It has also been easy to integrate with other downstream systems and provided flexibility not just for our website but for other platforms in our organisation.

Additionally, the customer support has been very good whenever we have had any questions.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

The learning curve for Content Stack sometimes can be quite high depending on how you build it. I also think that some documentation could be more in depth.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content Stack allows my team to build and manage the corporate and eCommerce platforms for the organisation. It allows us to scale the components across multiple markets, and additionally allows business users to update content, without any code change.

 ### 27. My contentsack experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nengi A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

What I like best about Contentstack is how easy it is to work with when building and managing dynamic content. Working in a home building industry I have I’ve used it to power things like interactive floor plan pages, home detail descriptions, and even automate syncing with platforms like Cloudinary. It’s flexible enough to support both developers and content editors, and I like how the structure makes it easy to plug into APIs and handle things like fallback logic, localization, and versioned environments without much hassle.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

What I dislike about Contentstack is the lack of clear documentation for more advanced use cases and custom integrations. It sometimes takes trial and error to figure out how to get things working the right way, especially when syncing with external platforms like Cloudinary. I also wish there was better support for having a dedicated development branch or preview environment, since right now everything has to be managed manually across environments.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets our developers build flexible, reusable components while giving non-technical users the ability to update content on their own. That’s been a big help in projects where we need to sync home data, generate dynamic PDFs, or manage fallback logic for things like home descriptions—all without pushing constant code changes.

 ### 28. Flexible and Modular, But Requires Dev Support for Customization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

The tool's modularity and flexibility are quite helpful. I also appreciate the availability of additional extensions and the excellent support provided.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

It's somewhat limiting that developer support is required to make any changes.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing content and collaborating across multiple teams has been a key aspect of my experience. The process of coordinating with different groups to handle content effectively is both challenging and rewarding.

 ### 29. User-Friendly UI but Slow Publishing and Notifications in Contentstack

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

It was easy to get a hang of Contentstack. Its UI is easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

When publishing an article or changing something within a published article, it takes multiple minutes for the article to uploaded or for the changes to come through. This is way too long in the journalistic business. Also, sending a push notification takes way too long.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since using Contentstack, our articles are way better visible in for example Google Discover.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you find Contentstack’s UI easy to navigate and that it’s helping improve your article visibility in places like Google Discover. That’s great to hear.

 ### 30. User friendly platform to manage content across Web or App!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel H. | Digital Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

A lot of customize features for different content types that fits into frontend platforms simply with API integration. This also avoid multiple deployments for the platform, but simply by updating on Contentstack and push to respective environment! Love the convenience!

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

It's a bit low when bulk-publishing entries & assets, especially on videos.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned earlier, to avoid multiple deployments on App for a change on FE, Contentstack is really helpful in a quick change for the FE or content displaying to users. It also allow us to manage in different sections on the app that requires frequent updates, business side also has the access to update those content for their use, which foster collaboration!

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback! We’re so glad to hear that Contentstack’s flexibility and API integration are making content management smooth and efficient for your team.

We appreciate you pointing out the opportunity for improvement with bulk-publishing, especially for videos. Your input helps us continue evolving the platform to better serve your needs.

Thanks again for being part of the Contentstack community!

 ### 31. Contentstack has reduced our content publishing time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

It is easy to use. I am responsible for training end users sets on how to use Contentstack. On average my users catch on quickly, requiring only one 1-hr. session of training. Also, it’s expandable.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

It’s probably the way we implemented Contentstack, but we have to have developers involved to add any of the apps that Contentstack provides such as Google Analytics and Taxonomy. We can make changes, but they will be overwritten the next time our model is re-published.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous CMS was 12+ years old and cumbersome to use. Our users had a lot of difficulties with the web content creation & publishing process being slow. Work that took one hour or more in our old CMS can now be completed in 15 minutes.

 ### 32. ContentStack Product Management Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian G. | Ecommerce Content Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

ContentStack provides a user friendly set of features and tools to manage all of my product and digital asset needs. I use the product every day. It makes integration with our POS very simple to maintain.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

Sometimes navigating to the exact Content you are looking for or finding specific assets by name can be a little clunky.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ContentStack helps make it easier to manage all of our SKUs for the web.

 ### 37. User friendly, but sometimes slow/buggy

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Easy to use, advanced search functionality is good, timeline and version comparison is useful

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

Buggy and slow at times. Publishing, unpublishing and release finctionalities are unreliable (recurrent issues with them). If an entry is referenced in a lot of components, it's difficult to reverse search

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast, headless cms

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

 ### 38. ContentStack: Leader in CMS platforms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Landon H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

The API driven focus is unlike any other out there. The composibility and experience first focus makes ContentStack a true leader in the industry.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

The downside is that you have to truly understand the business needs in order to properly structure your stack. Contentstack is so versatile that you can easily design a poor editor experience with data model decisions early in a project.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ContentStack brought our digital experience out of the dark ages of using SharePoint Lists to maintain our website products. It allows our editors to have much more control over our site, while also being able to immediately see their changes reflected in our production environment.

 ### 39. Excited to see new updates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria Alejandra M. | Digital Marketing Analyist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

New navigation it's easier to work than the old one.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

I still don't know how to see the audience in real time, I understand it is an innovation.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to improve the website of the company where I work, especially to show products in an easy way.

 ### 40. Powerful if set up correctly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

I like that it’s so customizable. So long as you have developer support, you can create almost anything.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

Depending on how developers set up the backend experience, it can be a pain to edit content. One site over utilizes accordions and dropdowns, so it’s easy to get lost when editing a page if you don’t close the accordions as you go. But even worse is another site that has too much nesting/references. To create an accordion, we have the item for the headline, an item for the accordion, and individual items for each accordion tab. That gets messy FAST.

So a developer that doesn’t understand Contenstack best practices is dangerous. It creates a lot of tech debt and a poor content editor experience.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us to manage content on three different websites, A/B split test, and segment audiences.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for highlighting both the power and flexibility of Contentstack, as well as the importance of thoughtful implementation. You're absolutely right, developer setup can significantly impact the content editing experience, and we appreciate your candid feedback on where things can get complex.

To help developers get started with best practices and avoid unnecessary tech debt, we recommend exploring our Developer Kickstart Learning Path on Contentstack Academy. It’s a free, curated set of lessons designed to help devs set up scalable, editor-friendly structures from day one.

 ### 41. Contentstack: Versatile and Feature-Complete Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Contentstack is very versatile, user friendly and feature complete.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

As a developer, I believe the documentation could be better. This is also noticeable when using AI or customer support. Both use the documentation as main source of information. But due to the quality of the documentation, the quality of the answers leave room for improvement.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contenstack is a strong contender in the headless DXP space.

 ### 42. Customizable Features and Powerful SEO Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Customizable features and layouts, wireframing capabilities, strong SEO integrations

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

Difficult UX that takes some time to learn and get acclimated with

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing me to combine web dev efforts seamlessly with SEO and brand marketing efforts

 ### 43. Learning from industry peers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan G. | Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Contentstack sticks to its core competency and amazing customer service approach. It doesn’t try to be more, which is rare.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

Versioning and dependency management are top of my wish list. Without these it’s challenging to onboard new users in the system with a level of confidence that doesn’t require hand holding.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contentstack keeps content in the hands of our content designers and out of the mobile and web code. That saves a ton of development time and allows us to be nimble with change requests and localization.

 ### 44. Easy to use for marketing teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thy N. | Product Marketing Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

It's so easy to find where everything is. Every page is set up basically the same so you can duplicate and organize your elements on each page quickly. I also really like the modern and simple UI because it's easy to the eyes. I don't have an extensive background in web development, so Contentstack makes it a breeze to update our website and publish blogs. I've ran into some minor issues before, but the support team is super responsive and helpful!

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

It seems base features are not super customizable, you really have to explore different partners in their ecosystem to be able to do more sophisticated things. Minor complaints from me are that there are some inconsistencies in what you can or can't do in certain elements (ex. being able to hyperlink in one text box but not another). This might be an issue in other CMS platforms as well, but I wish Contentstack would be able to publish quicker or at least show a preview quicker without having to refresh or wait for a while.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contentstack helps me with collaborating with my marketing team members when we are working on a new product page or blog together and it also makes it easy for me to publish pages without a web development background or having to ask one of our dev team members. I did not need too much training when I first started using Contentstack, so learning curve barrier is not too high.

 ### 45. I am finding it very easy to use and implement.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

It is easy to use , easy to implement/integrate.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

Limitations ( ex- 40 kb content in one entry, 200 max references in one entry)

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing content for Web and mobile app.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Contentstack easy to use and implement and integrate with! We appreciate your feedback about the limitations, and we are constantly working to improve our platform based on customer input.

 ### 46. ContentStack Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier G. | Front End Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

Contentstack is versatile and very effective to administer contents in an enterprise environment with many users working simultaneously.
Constantly evolving to offer more functionality and to improve the performance of the product.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

Even the register and following of tickets are good. Sometimes the response time is not the best.
Would be great to have more material to know better new functions like live preview or timeline.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage many websites in an enterprise environment with a lot of users.
Provide a version management system to the content.

 ### 47. Amazing CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate C. | SEO and Content Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

The platform is easy to use on both the technical and business side but what really sets them apart are the additional tools like brand kit and AI that make this a powerful CMS and marketing tool.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

We were initially concerned that CS was a slightly lesser know and we would run into issues there, but I’m happy to announce we haven’t!

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily streamlining our web and content process

 ### 48. Not a great content management solution

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** marissa s. | product marketing manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

It hosts our website, so that's a good thing.

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

To be fair, I don't know if a lot of my challenges arise from Content Stack as a CMS or the agency that built the website, but it has been riddled with bugs and breaks constantly. It's not super user friendly and the way the components are set up it makes it confusing to build new pages. Also, it takes a very long time to publish. Sometimes hours. It's impossible to work in real time because of this issue. I would not recommend this system to anyone, unfortunately. Again, not sure if it works well for other people but our agency did not do a great job.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It hosts our website. Now people can see we have a digital presence.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear you've encountered challenges. Contentstack prides itself on providing a flexible, easy-to-use CMS, designed to support quick publishing and smooth content creation.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Contentstack?**

As a content writer and creator, I really enjoy the ease of use of Contentstack. It's flexible, organized, and makes creating and managing content super smooth. In our niche industry, we require specific content blocks and functions. The team at Contentstack has been outstanding in helping us customize the platform to fit the unique needs of our business. Converting over from our legacy CMS has been a great experience overall!

**What do you dislike about Contentstack?**

The possibilities in Contentstack are seemingly endless, which is great, but can make it feel a bit overwhelming at times. Our business previously uses a very basic CMS, so the transition over was a bit of a learning curve. However, the Contentstack support team has been nothing short of incredible and has made the switch as smooth as it possibly could have been.

**What problems is Contentstack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ContentStack is helping streamline our content management by keeping our long and short-form content all in one place. It's improved the collaboration across teams since we're now all working out of the same system. Additionally, it's helped improve the quality of our output with its wide variety of available features.

**Official Response from Bianca Anderson:**
