"Empowers Insightful Website Analysis with Ease"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Contentsquare?

I use Contentsquare to analyze and monitor our website performance, and it effectively fills in the gap between quantitative and qualitative data. It's extremely quick and easy to access the data. I really like the AI tools because they make it easy for non-technical users to access insights. The frequent product updates have increased efficiency, which is a big plus. Contentsquare offered a better user experience compared to Decibel Insight, and the initial setup was very easy. Overall, I find these aspects of Contentsquare valuable in my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

Recent product acquisitions haven't been integrated as well as I would have liked. Make it more seamless within the Contentsquare platform, rather than multiple logins across different sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual, Shareable Analytics That Drive Tangible Performance Improvements"
5/5
What do you like best about Contentsquare?

Visual friendly tool that allows quick analysis that can be shared with all different teams in the business and lead to tangible actions being taken to improve performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

A more laborious part of the tool is ensuring your mappings are correctly setup which ensure your website pages are correctly grouped. Where this forms most of the foundations of all your data points and analysis it is critical this is done correctly, and often the user interface to do this on is not the clearest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Isabel Sauer of Contentsquare

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this thoughtful review. We are really happy to hear that the visual and shareable nature of Contentsquare helps your teams collaborate and turn insights into tangible performance improvements.

We also truly appreciate your candid feedback on page mappings. Getting this right is foundational, and your perspective is incredibly helpful as we continue to refine and improve the experience.

Thanks again for sharing your experience with us!

"Revolutionized Our UX Insights with Robust Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Contentsquare?

I use Contentsquare for UX research, and I like its features like Zoning, Session Replay, and Journey Analysis. They tell me where users are clicking, if they’re missing certain content, and provide visuals on what their journey looks like and when they exit the site. These features are particularly useful because they help quantify my UX research insights and support research findings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

AI feature could be more accurate. For session replays, you have to wait until the relevant page shows, which could be improved to make it faster. I would also like to order replays by friction on a certain page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Data Driven Decision Making for Digital Experiences"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Contentsquare?

What I like the most about Contentsquare is that it is a comprehensive analytics and user-friendly platform providing insights and recommendations for several business users. Here is how we leverage it inside our organization:

- Enabling the UX and analytics team to work together to identify areas of opportunity, such as underperforming pages, UX issues, and suggestions for improvement. The tool helps the team prioritize optimization, quantifying the impact on conversion and revenues of a specific issue, and better understanding where the users may be frustrated or abandon their purchase. Useful both for spot analysis or Conversion Rate Optimization Plans.

- Zoning Analysis helps UI team to optimize content based on users' preferences and behavioral metrics such as hesitation time, time before first click or click recurrences. By looking at session replays, it is possible to understand the experience of every single user deeply.

- Store Management and Visual Merchandising teams to adapt the layout and structure of main website pages, analyzing how users interact with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

Contentsquare is rich in inputs and insights but also requires teams that can effectively leverage the functionalities.

The outputs of this tool are valuable themselves, still the integration of results with insights from different tools (e.g. website data, transactional data and CRM insights) can make the most of it, helping decision makers to get the full picture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Isabel Sauer of Contentsquare

Thanks again for sharing your experience, it truly helps us keep getting better.

"Improve your business by understanding your users' behaviors"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Contentsquare?

Understand user behaviors through a variety of features that are both quantitative and visual. It is possible to both formulate hypotheses, identify problems, and verify if they are confirmed. Communicating the results is also made easy thanks to highly visual elements that can be easily integrated into a presentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

The fact that the data must be anonymized makes the implementation complex. If we choose to make everything anonymous by default, then the keywords entered in the search engine, for example, are no longer visible, which makes analyzing the results impossible without context in the replay sessions.

The connection with traffic sources (SEA / SEO / ...) is not straightforward. Understanding where the user comes from before arriving on the site is not simple, even though it is a very important contextual data to understand user behaviors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Isabel Sauer of Contentsquare

Hi!

Thank you so much for sharing this thoughtful review. We are really glad to hear that the visual and quantitative insights help you form hypotheses, identify issues, and clearly communicate findings with your teams.

We also appreciate your honest feedback around data anonymisation and traffic source connections. Context is key when analysing user behaviour, and your points are well taken. This kind of input is incredibly valuable as we continue to improve the platform.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

"Intuitive Analytics, Seamless AI Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Contentsquare?

I love the new products Contentsquare is releasing, like SENSE, where they're integrating AI. I'm particularly excited about connecting our Microsoft Copilot agent using their MCP server to query data without leaving the Microsoft Teams interface. The setup was very easy, as the support team at Contentsquare walked us through everything, from page mappings to the technical tagging side. Additionally, I really enjoy interacting with our customer success manager, which has been a great experience for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

Sometimes if you get the wrong customer success manager, it can be a pain point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

Sometimes there are bugs and I have to contact support, which is not convenient if I have something urgent to do. And I often have recommendations, but my interlocutors always take them into account! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful tool to truly understand user behavior and optimize customer journeys"
5/5
What do you like best about Contentsquare?

What I like best about Contentsquare is the depth of behavioral insights and the very visual way it helps understand user experience.

The heatmaps, session replays, and especially the journey analysis make it easy to quickly identify friction points, drop-offs, and engagement drivers.

The platform goes far beyond traditional analytics by providing a strong qualitative understanding of user behavior. The dashboards are very comprehensive, and features like Sense AI save a lot of time by automatically highlighting optimization opportunities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

Contentsquare is extremely powerful, but it can feel complex at first.

There are a lot of features and metrics available, which can be a bit overwhelming for new users. A proper onboarding or training phase is clearly needed to fully leverage the platform.

Some advanced analyses also require time and setup to become truly relevant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Isabel Sauer of Contentsquare

Hey Helene,

We also appreciate your honest feedback on the learning curve. As the platform continues to grow in depth, making onboarding and enablement smoother and helping teams get to value faster remains a key focus for us.

Thanks again for sharing how Contentsquare supports your UX decisions and helps you prioritise optimisations with real impact.

"Intuitive AI Features with Fast Learning Curve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Contentsquare?

I like the AI sense, especially within the zonings and page comparators, as it helps me gain a higher-level understanding of how much our sitewide experience is impacted. I appreciate the super fast learning curve and the great experts involved in the training setup, which made getting started with Contentsquare smooth and effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

The Sense Analyst needs to be prompted really well or it just doesn’t give the necessary information and is not applied to our retail model. I used it for a weekly scheduled performance digest, but sometimes it’s not accurate or what I ask. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Deep Insights into Customer Behavior"
4/5
What do you like best about Contentsquare?

I like using Contentsquare for behavioral understanding of customers and diving deeper than just raw numbers. It's great for analyzing KPI dashboards and understanding the 'why' behind certain metrics. I enjoy being able to delve into actions, such as clicking on a specific element, and deep-diving into that particular action to see its value, frequency, and more. The initial setup was fairly easy from memory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Contentsquare?

Clarity around how each metric is actually calculated, we have some which are revenue numbers, some which are page speed, etc., and it'd be nice to be clearer exactly how they are measured. It's probably my lack of understanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
