I've previously worked with companies where I interact directly with the client, so I'm one of several writers they work with, and I'll send proposals once a month. I had to wait a year before getting my first job through the site. I'm confident that if I had followed the advice, I would have heard back from them sooner. Should get more work. The author base is full of subject matter experts, but not every author is as familiar with our products as they could be. Contently allows me to manage the entire editorial process: from ideation to managing workflows, to editing and tracking performance. What do you dislike about Contently? Sometimes the platform can be slow. And the calendar always snaps back to "current six weeks" and does not allow me to jump straight to a certain month eg January 2021. An all-in-one content marketing tool that provides an audience-targeted content plan. The also features are built-in templates for your content and help you streamline your content marketing campaigns to reach the maximum audience. The tool also offers a freelancer program that enables content creators and content marketers to make their deals. The program also features live tracking with a very user-friendly UI. The tool navigation paths are somewhat blind and take you in undesirable directions. The calendar and Campaign scheduler also experiences some lagging issues. This provides a variety of content created by different freelancers. The portfolio section is missing out on some of the critical details. Our team loves the template options and the ease at which we can add comments, adjust deadlines, and build a stronger content strategy. We've also found that Contently allows us to better understand user experience and what draws users and keeps them within the platform. Lastly, we love the collaboration with our content strategist and managing editor. They don't feel like consultants; rather, they feel like extensions of the team. Only heavy HTML users would even notice. The platform itself recently went up in price rather significantly but we understand that this is due to the competitive market. Recommendations to others considering Contently: It might seem unecessary to use a managing editor, but they save our team so much time by cleaning up copy before it reaches our hands. Try to give Contently as much detail into your business as possible during onboarding, and do your best to set up the content pillars at the onset so you can leverage content plan to its full potential. Contently allows us to push all reviews through the platform to keep transparency of edits visible to all stakeholders. For another client, we're using Contently to build an entire website from scratch. It's helping us to stay organized and on-pace to launch our website by end of the year.
