Thanks for the positive review! Please note, we do not extract data from LinkedIn or GitHub. The Chrome extension is only showing data available in the ContactOut database, or with the find work email, finding a work email in real-time with verification and pinging steps.
As far as the free version, we do not offer a free version anymore. Our former free version is now our free trial version that is offered to a person once for a limited time. If you want to continue to use ContactOut after the free trial is over you will need to purchase a user subscription.

First, its agility. It works really fast. It's flexible, There were times when the contact's email didn't appear and then by typing the company's name it appears. In my searches, it works in over 75% of the cases, so it's been a tremendous help for getting prospects and candidates' email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One thing we need to clarify. ContactOut does not extract emails from Linkedin profiles or take any data from LinkedIn.
We have an AI algorithm that goes out to the public domain and collects emails and phone numbers from public websites, web forums, blogs, and social media sites, anywhere a person may have shared their contact information publicly, we collect and store that information in our database. Once we have found and email or phone number it is dropped into another sophisticated algorithm that takes it back out to the web and matches it to social media profiles, so we can link the data back to LinkedIn. The last thing we do is to verify emails do not bounce. This 3-step process is called out triple verification method.
The Chrome extension is only matching a person's profile from LinkedIn to a profile of a person in ContactOut's database when we match we show the relevant data from the ContactOut database.
ContactOut makes getting contact information from people's LinkedIn profile's a breeze. Often the program can even pull personal emails in addition to business emails, which is something I haven't seen any other software do. Really, the only thing that would make this easier is for the button to appear in the LinkedIn profile instead of on the chrome bar, but I understand these are probably limitations on LinkedIn's side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
