Constructor Assess is online assessment software for universities and corporate training teams. Instructors build quizzes, surveys, and assignments, grade them by hand or with AI against a rubric, and deliver them to learners in Constructor Learn. Rubrics can be written by hand or generated with AI, and scored by points or by ranges. For assignments, AI drafts a grade against the rubric and the instructor accepts it, edits it, or replaces it, so the final grade is always the educator's. Grading supports anonymous marking, group submissions graded once for the whole group, bulk actions, and in-screen preview of files, audio, and video, and grading reports can be exported. Quizzes draw on a question bank organized with tags and filters, and can pull a set number of questions from a pool for each attempt. Each quiz can be configured with randomization, time limits, attempt limits, a pass score, and rules for feedback and answer reveal. Learners can also answer free-format questions by drawing. Assess runs surveys as well, including anonymous ones. Assess checks submissions for originality through Turnitin, using the institution's own Turnitin license, and passes the Turnitin report to AI grading. When an exam needs supervision, it connects to Constructor Proctor, and a proctored activity cannot be opened without it. With a Constructor Prism license, instructors can generate quiz questions from PDFs and web links and add them to the Assess question bank. Existing questions can be imported in Moodle XML, Aiken, and GIFT formats, and users sign in through single sign-on over OpenID Connect.
