Homeowner Central has been a game changer for us. Having all service requests, documents, and homeowner communication in one place has reduced duplicate work and made our responses much faster. We’re now consistently replying to homeowners within two business days, and our coordinators have saved a significant amount of time that used to be spent on manual data entry. CustomerInsight has also been valuable – it gives us actionable feedback right when we need it. For example, one homeowner’s comment led us to add a simple utility setup guide in the portal, which immediately reduced follow-up questions. There’s a short learning curve for both staff and homeowners when they first start using the portal. Before using Homeowner Central and CustomerInsight, our team was buried in emails, phone calls, and manual data entry, which led to delays, missed details, and frustrated homeowners. Now, all communication, service requests, and documents are centralized and visible to everyone. The results have been significant: • Service requests and follow-up calls have dropped sharply, and Tarion claim forms are down nearly 50% in communities using the portal. • Coordinators are saving about 100 hours per month by eliminating manual entry, which allows them to focus on scheduling and resolutions instead of data wrangling. • Response times are now consistently under 2 business days, which homeowners have noticed and appreciated. • Adoption rates are very high—94% in Hi-Rise communities and 70% in Low-Rise—and growing, showing homeowner trust in the platform. • CustomerInsight surveys give us real-time, actionable feedback to make quick improvements, like adding resources in the portal that immediately reduced service queries. • The structured communication and tracking also make it easier to stay compliant with Tarion and HCRA requirements. Stable platform that's matured over the years, yet highly configurable to suit each builder's needs. Company is making a huge investment in their next-generation platform to enhance and modernize the system, while maintaining compatibility. We like the ability to quickly load and update data using Excel spreadsheets and see the results in real-time, rather than requiring overnight processing. We can make quick adjustments, determine their impact, and push into production without fear of breaking the system. Our decision to purchase Newstar + SalesXpress was as much about the current software and future investment, as it was about the company. They aren't simply extracting revenue, they are re-investing. I feel good about their long-term viability and their platform's ability to grow and interface with other products. Their professional services has been exceptional at guiding us toward the right long-term decisions. That includes both technology and business guidance by sharing best practices, systems limitations, and future expectations. While I'm happy with the overall implementation, we got off to a rocky start with the original project manager. Once this issue was escalated, the project manager was replaced and we got back on track without dates slipping. We're going live with the project ahead of schedule even. And while nobody complains about the functionality, this means it can't be easily accessed from a mobile device. That means it comes with all the benefits and challenges of any remote desktop environment. Printing, authentication, file sharing, and ease of use aren't a strength. What problems is Constellation HomeBuilder Systems solving and how is that benefiting you? It's a full-featured home building ERP across the lifecycle of a home and customer. This includes lead and prospect management, home-buying, construction, purchasing, vendor management, closings, warranty, and accounting. We already had another CRM in place, and Constellation had experience integrating their solution with our CRM. That helped us keep key business processes stable while others changed.
