The AI search feature is truly remarkable, it's not only capable of finding studies, but it can grasp research questions and pinpoint the most relevant ones quickly. A few months ago, I had to back up a product claim on sleep supplements and within a few minutes Consensus reduced 15 clinical trials to the essence of their results, saving me hours of PubMed work. The "synthesize" feature was also brilliant as it would compare two studies that were contradicting each other, and bring to our attention the areas in which they agreed or disagreed, making our content team's job so much easier. The free version offers 10 searches per month-this can quickly get used up if you're conducting a lot of research, and our team used up all of ours by day three when we were in the middle of a product launch. Others (such as new research on nootropics) get a smaller number of hits than would be anticipated, possibly because preliminary studies are not included in the database because they have not yet been peer-reviewed. Our staff were lost in contradictory studies and were spending days cross-referencing data to make decisions based on evidence. Now, we have quick and practical insights in minutes. When we're considering introducing a new ingredient into our formula, for instance, we would use consultants who would review the research but we now run it by Consensus first and only take it all the way to the consultants if the evidence is less clear. My favorite part of research (besides saving me time) is that instead of searching through 12 tabs on google and reading abstracts for an hour – i can just ask my question, it will pull up relevant papers and tell me what most research indicates. It’s very loud here today, and i’m managing to complete much more research than i usually am able to in a single afternoon. I come back to the AI summary of all of the many studies on a subject, which isn’t just one study concluding anything – it’s “here is what x number of studies indicate” – “where do they agree”. It makes it extremely easy to create a readout or brief of the results i’ve obtained as well as eliminating the need for scheduling meetings to explain my findings. When you’re actively looking for quality research that answers your question – some of the studies pulled up by research may not answer your question directly, therefore requiring additional verification. Prior to using research, i’d spend my time digging through Google Scholar, opening up papers, determining that approximately half of them were not exactly what i was looking for, and then starting over again. This gives them more insight into what we're offering before a demo. The setup was extremely easy for me; I just jumped right in and started using it. Plus, the ability for customers to drill down into what they care about is nice because I can provide a larger range of information. I've had a great experience using Consensus in my role as an Account Manager. It allows me to provide highly customized product demos that align with each prospect's specific needs and pain points, making every interaction more relevant and valuable. One of the biggest benefits is how much it accelerates the sales cycle. Instead of coordinating multiple live demo sessions, I can send tailored demos that prospects can watch whenever it's convenient for them. What do you dislike about Consensus? Initial setup takes time. Creating a library of personalized demos requires an upfront investment in planning, recording, and organizing content. Content maintenance. Whenever your product UI or features change, demos need to be updated to stay accurate.
