## ScreenConnect Reviews
  ### 1. Secure, Seamless Unattended Access with ScreenConnect and NinjaOne Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve S. | Director of Information Systems and Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

We use ScreenConnect mostly for unattended access to help our users and their endpoints.
It offers excellent security and we have integrated into NinjaOne so it is easy for our technicians to find the machine that they need to log into.
We can also provide temporary remote access to vendor support without worrying about unnecessary security issues.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

I have used this product for at least 15 years and I cannot think of anything I do not like about it other than the price has increased over the years but that is consistent with all applications and it remains the best value in the area I have found.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our primary use case is for remote access as our employees are spread out over about 50 different locations thusly the biggest benefit to using ScreenConnect is reducing the time to resolution and assisting in resolving about 95% of issues remotely.

  ### 2. Lightweight, Cross-Platform Remote Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason L. | Network Administrator, Retail, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

ScreenConnect is very lightweight, has good support, and works on both Mac and PC. Pricing is reasonable compared to almost every other option for remote control and support. The bandwidth required to manage a remote machine appears to be minimal as to not impede control performance. Best of all it has multiple deployment options for different scenarios.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

It requires Admin rights to install, I realize this is a good security but it can pose a challenge when reinstallation is required.
Also Mac makes it repeatedly difficult to keep the client active, it seems every so often a Mac System update requires us to re-allow the software which is locked on our users Macs behind admin credentials. This requires us to get connected with ARD to resolve it.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote machines are becoming almost primary at our company so quickly accessing them to assist my users is required. The capability to manage these machines and group them in the ScreenConnect web portal is also very helpful. Quickly Identifying what company, location, and machine makes it a very quick way to identify and begin assisting. The info tab for each machine also give insightfull details event without starting a control session.

  ### 3. Intuitive UI, Powerful Customization, and Handy On-Device Scripting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** max . | IT Helpdesk Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

The Ui is great to use and easy to pick up, functionality is great too, with plenty of options to customise. My favourite feature is that you can add scripts to run directly to the device, which is handy for our business.

In terms of integrations, we don't use any, but we have made scripts to deploy through other products and it works fine.

I do think ScreenConnect itself offers a really strong piece of software for it's price point that 'just works' for us, which is very important.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Sometimes there are minor performance issues however, I do believe this is more to do with the customer connection than the product.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote access to client devices. Most importantly, it must be reliable and efficient, which it is.

  ### 4. Reliable and Easy Remote Support with ScreenConnect

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad M. | IT Systems Engineer II, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

I've been using ScreenConnect for over four years, and it's a great product. It's one of the best ways to connect remotely to another system. We use it for assisting users with various remote issues and connecting to the back end to improve workstation functionality. ScreenConnect is incredibly helpful for support on non-customer machines with one-time connections. I really like the toolbox feature because it keeps a uniform set of tools available for our technicians. The backstage functionality is fantastic as it allows us to work on the machine without needing the user present. The ability to cut and paste within ScreenConnect is really helpful. It's integrated into NinjaOne, which makes monitoring and maintaining our machines super straightforward by allowing us to open a session with a single click. Setting up ScreenConnect was a no-brainer, very easy—we just installed the agents, and training our technicians only took a little while.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Cleaning up the back end and removing machines after they've been gone for a long time might be something we struggle with, and that's about it.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScreenConnect provides remote support by allowing us to see and interact with users' machines in near real-time.

With screenconnect, I like that remote video support is available and is very helpful when working with teams.
It is a fulfilling remote desktop solution that has saved our business money and ensures continuity of services no matter the location of the teams.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Well, I has met needs, Screenconnect is the best I have used.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use screenconnect for offering remote support and it has been amazing as a remote desktop solution. It makes remote work possible and saves resources.

  ### 6. Essential MSP Tool with a Fast, Minimal UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike B. | NOC Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Easy and quick to use. The UI is perfectly minimal, and I haven’t noticed any lag at all. This tool is essential for our MSP.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

The security issues are the biggest problem. To their credit, CW is quick to fix them, and since we’re hosted we get the patches automatically and quickly. Still, it’s always in the back of my mind.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to remotely view and interact with a client’s computer has saved me countless hours when troubleshooting helpdesk issues.

  ### 7. Easy to Use and RMM-Friendly, But Recent Bugs and Disconnects Hurt Reliability

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blake E. | IT Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Easy to use, and it works with almost all RMMs. The cost is good, and support does a pretty good job when you need help. No AI.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Recently, the software has become really buggy. It disconnects all the time, and downloading the agent takes a long time.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me get remote access to clients’ PCs when I need to support them.

  ### 8. Effortless Remote Access with Robust Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel L. | Technical Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

I like ScreenConnect's ease of use and how it's integrated with Entra ID, which allows us to use roles to give engineers only the access they require. The RBAC permissions are really handy, and I appreciate the personal branding support for our ADHOC support portal. Recording remote sessions is a big plus, as it helps keep us protected through auditing. The deployment was really easy with the RMM integration.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

integration with some AI to review screen recordings so we can log activity to our PSA

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScreenConnect enables remote admin access on end-user devices, eliminating site visits. It integrates with Entra ID, using roles for controlled access. Our branding for support portals and session recording ensures protection.

  ### 9. ScreenConnect:Fast, Reliable Remote Access with Seamless Support Experience.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ADITYA T. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

What I like best about ScreenConnect is its fast and reliable remote access that works smoothly even on low bandwidth. The interface is clean, making it easy to manage multiple sessions effortlessly. Its strong security features give confidence during sensitive remote work. Overall, it delivers a seamless and professional remote support experience.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

At times, the setup process can feel slightly complex for non-technical users. Additionally, occasional session drops can disrupt workflow during remote troubleshooting.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScreenConnect addresses the challenge of delivering fast and secure remote support without the need for users to be on-site. It allows for quick troubleshooting, which helps minimize downtime and speeds up response times. The feature that lets IT teams manage multiple devices at once boosts their productivity. In summary, ScreenConnect streamlines support operations and helps ensure that issues are resolved more efficiently.

  ### 10. ScreenConnect Makes Remote Access Simple and Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francis F. | Systems/Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

ScreenConnect was very easy to use compared to the other remote products I've used. The console is easy to navigate and to remote into a machine only takes a double click.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

I found that getting assistance took a bit longer than we would like. There were moments where we were left with an issue for a few days before getting any kind of resolution.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Continuing to make the product better by functionality and stability.

  ### 11. Feature-Rich, Easy-to-Use RMM That Delivers

**Reviewed by:** Hardik T. | Senior Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Multi-monitor support, low-bandwidth support, a toolbox, chat, wake lock, extensibility, and cross-platform compatibility—everything you could want in a remote support tool. The backstage features let me run commands and install software without stopping the user from working, and I can also send them messages when needed.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Sometimes it takes the client a while to come back online.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increased productivity: our IT staff can work from anywhere, which helps us resolve issues faster, handle troubleshooting more efficiently, and apply software patches promptly. It also gives the team broader reach without needing additional resources.

  ### 13. Easy Web UI, but Unstable Connections and Frequent Stalling

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

I like the silent access method and how easy the web UI is to use. The access and activity history is also good and helpful.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

The system is highly unstable. The connection stalls easily, and the clipboard also stops working.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to control the factory systems and to remotely manage the SQL database.

  ### 14. ScreenConnect Makes Remote Support Easy with Flexible Sharing Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

I find ScreenConnect to be one of the easiest remote connection apps to use. The ability to send individual codes, website links, or emails makes it simple to share with end users. It also includes enough useful features to help with troubleshooting a variety of computer issues.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

The application would occasionally freeze, which was frustrating. Also, when connecting to a remote computer without a display, it can become an issue and make the experience less reliable.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of access connecting to users, and getting quick snapshots of the screen without having to connect (on installed machines)

  ### 15. Perfect solution for IT Support businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick H. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2018

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

I run a small IT support business. I needed a solution for providing remote support to customers, both on an "as needed" basis, as well as on an "always connected" basis. The other products I looked at, like Team Viewer, LogMeIn, etc., we just too expensive for my situation. I'll admit, I was a bit concerned that maybe ScreenConnect might not be very reliable, etc., because it was less expensive, but that concern was totally unfounded. ScreenConnect has been 100% reliable for me. It does everything I need. If someone calls in looking for immediate support, it is very easy to have them go to my web site, where I have a "Remote Support" page, where they can enter a simple code and quickly get connected. I also have many clients' computers always connected, so any time they need me to do something, I can get right in and take care of things, without having to worry about setting up a remote support session.

It was very easy to set up my self-hosted ScreenConnect server. It's very easy to install on client computers. There is no monkey business with having to exchange codes and passwords with the client to get connected.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Over time there have been a few issues with anti-virus programs, such as McAfee and Bitdefender claiming that the ScreenConnect installer is a trojan. Apparently this is due to the fact that some malicious actors have been using ScreenConnect and probably other remote access applications, to gain remote access to their victims' computers.

**Recommendations to others considering ScreenConnect:**

Give it a chance. I think you'll like it! Especially if you are a small IT service provider looking for an affordable, yet effect solution.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business problem I had was that I needed an affordable way to provide remote IT support services for my clients. ScreenConnect solved that problem for me. The benefit is that I can quickly provide support for my clients without having to spend time and money travelling to their locations for every little problem that comes along.

**Official Response from Jenny Griesdorn:**

> Thank you for your positive review on ConnectWise Control, Rick! We appreciate your partnership with us.

  ### 18. Reliable Remote Access, But Support and Extra Steps Need Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martyn S. | IT and telecommunications technical specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Fairly reliable software for remote access

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Went down recently couldn’t get through to anyone on support to resolve.

Also they have added more steps from users to remote connect which although is a good security measure for novice users this is an unnecessary extra step.

It would be nice if there was an option by verifying our account on a semi regular basis to remove this.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote access to client machines and servers

  ### 19. Reliable and Powerful Remote Support Tool with Minor Drawbacks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy S. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

We’ve used ScreenConnect since its early days with Elsinore Technologies, starting in the 2010s. We initially invested in a three-technician on-premise perpetual licence, and it’s proven to be one of the best software decisions we’ve made. It’s reliable, incredibly user-friendly, and consistently delivers strong performance. Remote connections are extremely fast, and we appreciate the ability to run command prompts remotely, initiate chat sessions with users, and request user confirmation before accessing their devices—all of which streamline support while respecting user privacy and maintaining transparency. The platform is also highly customisable, allowing us to tailor it to our workflow. Having full control through an on-premise installation is a major advantage, offering both flexibility and peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Our main issue is the relatively high cost for annual maintenance renewal, which came to US $471.54. The renewal process involved the concurrent session licence being priced at US $440 per technician, totalling US $1,320 for our three-technician setup. We received an upgrade credit of US -$848.46 based on our existing perpetual licences, which brought the final renewal cost to US $471.54. While we understand the value of keeping the software updated and supported, the pricing still feels quite steep for what is essentially ongoing maintenance. Additionally, we experienced a security incident in February 2024, where our ScreenConnect server was exploited by an attacker who managed to gain local admin privileges. Thankfully, we have daily snapshots of our ScreenConnect VM server, so we quickly reverted the server, applied the security patch from ConnectWise, and brought it back online. Since then, the system has remained secure and stable.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScreenConnect allows us to provide fast, secure, and reliable remote support to our clients without needing to be physically on-site. It solves the challenge of supporting users across different locations by giving us instant access to their machines, the ability to run remote commands, chat with users, and perform troubleshooting efficiently. One feature we find especially useful is the ability to create custom groups for each client’s company, which keeps our device list organised and makes it easier to manage multiple clients. This all significantly reduces downtime for our clients and boosts our team’s efficiency. Hosting it on-premise also gives us full control over data and access, which is vital for compliance and maintaining client trust.

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

It leaves much to be desire when you are connecting to an Apple Mac host. That’s its one flaw, but most remote connect tools have similar issues with Macs.

We have many customers and it is extremely easy to deploy ScreenConnect and the technicians to assist them with the tool.

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

It does everything you can want im a remote access system, the direct CMD and Powershell commands to enable you to execute ad-hoc tasks in bulk has saved me hours.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Recently forced to use cloud version ans was given very little notice. I'm concerned they will get greedy and server their shareholders over their users and keep increasing the licence fee like LogMeIn did, if so they will lose a lot of business.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows you to execute commands in bulk, which saved us during a breach.

  ### 24. Great assistance software for small business.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anjuman C. | IT Technician, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2023

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

I like how there are different levels, for example some require the end user to consent to your control, others can choose not to so It's really nice to have that option. Each time I connect the end user is amazed at how quick I can connect with them not having to do anything.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Only one issue I noticed was sometimes although the agent is on some machines, no prompt comes up and it doesn't allow me to connect even after re-installing, however I'm not sure what causes it, other than nothing else.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Other screen connecting systems I have used always need me to give a code to a user, or have a user give a code to me, this can be very time consuming and sometimes in the end I can't even connect, however with screen connect it is very quick and easy.

  ### 27. The ultimate remote access tool.

I love that ScreenConnect allows me to assist people across borders instantly. It's easy to deploy, packed with features, fast, and reliable. Accessing a computer via 'Backstage' also allows me to perform maintenance without interrupting the end user. Sending CMD or PS commands direct from the console is also super handy! Seamless auto-updates... the list of features just goes on an on!

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Some extra features can be quite pricey.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScreenConnect allows me to assist coworkers no matter where they are in the world, as long as they have an internet connection. It makes it as easy as if they were in the same building as me. It's so much easier to just hop on someone's computer and show them what to do instead of talking them through the problem blindly.

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

- A useful tool in the arsenal of support professionals working with ConnectWise PSA
- Available both as web application and a plugin on the ConnectWise PSA Manage application which ensures flexibile usage when working on urgent issues and reduces multitasking
- Provision to run commands on remote system

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

- Developed by ConnectWise so only makes sense if integrated with ConnectWise PSA
-Slow Login on web application
- UI is in dark mode

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A support professional can only do so much on call with user, especially if they are lack technical proficiency. In such cases, it becomes necessary to investigate the user that the user is facing by accessing their machine remotely. ConnectWise ScreenConnect gets the job done and I have been using it for troubleshooting different client issues. However, there are issues when using it such as slow login times and not a great UI.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ConnectWise has provided a very lightweight solution on client devices that enables support to remote access / unattended access on the fly.
