**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2024

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

One of the standout features of ConnectWise Control is its comprehensive toolbox for remote support. It allows technicians to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently. The software offers a wide array of functionalities, including remote control, file transfer, session recording, live chat, and multi-monitor support, among others. The ability to customize and brand the interface enhances the professional image when interacting with clients.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Initial Learning Curve: While the interface is generally user-friendly, new users might need some time to familiarize themselves with the extensive range of features available. This learning curve could be perceived as a challenge for those seeking quick and immediate implementation.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

remote troubleshooting

  ### 3. very strong tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael M. | Head of Support Engineering Department, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2024

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Super easy setup, strong connections, reliable solution

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

some anti-virus detect the app like a virus

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

no need to be onsite

  ### 4. A necessary tool in our stack!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2024

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Easy to use and underestand how the process is.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Nothing in particular. It's enough for the use we give the tool.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use SC to remotely support our clients. All our techs understand the tool very easily.

  ### 5. The Best Remote Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shane G. | Technical Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2023

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

ConnectWise Control has so many features, not just remote access. It has a screenshot view, system specs, command prompt, logs, and services access without remoting in. Its best feature, though, is the Backstage remote - enabling engineers to remote in behind the scenes and run tools without interruption to the end user.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Many of the features require a higher license - plus, if self hosted, Control updates are needs to run manually, along with the client updates. Also with self hosted, some features are not available.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is the single most required piece of software in our support package. It is used constantly every day. Management time went down several hours a day just by using control

  ### 6. Easy to use & so helpful!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2023

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

ConnectWise allows for an easy way to hop into another user's PC whenever they have an issue they can't solve. It allows for administrator access so long as you have the administrator password.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Sometimes things will disconnect randomly if the WiFi connectivity isn't perfect. It's hard to reconnect at first once this happens. Sometimes I have to end my session completely and re-invite the user.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have 9 branches at our company and only a handful of IT employees. This program allows our IT employees to have access to a computer that they can't physically sit down at. It has helped us solve so many IT-related issues across all of our branches without having to physically send an employee across the country.

  ### 7. Connectwise control makes remote support easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2023

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Control gives us complete control and all the information we need to manage and support our clients. The administrator sign in request feature makes it much easier to help our clients manage their software updates!

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Connectwise control sometimes has trouble with Macs. If updates are done on the Macs, control needs to have rights given again to get control which can be challenging when the user does not have administrator privileges.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a MSP we need to be able to connect our clients remotely to support their users and systems. Control has been an integral piece of our client support system.

  ### 8. ConnectWise Control allows us to help others

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yazdany S. | Program Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2022

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

ConnectWise is extremely helpful because it allows me to improve how I create an excellent and unmistakable support management process. It has helped me excel with my customers and help them solve any problems they may have. It has a unique deployment and provides a lot of power. It's critical to keep up with rapid growth; the quality is highly intriguing and incredible, and it works flawlessly.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

When we use the support function, ConnectWise has presented us with the disadvantage that the interface is not as fluid and has control errors.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we started growing our customer base, we have had to rely on ConnectWise Control to excel with our customers and help them solve any problems they may have. It was getting more complex every day because we had a long list of customers waiting for our answers, and the only support we had was phone calls. We decided to invest, and our experience improved dramatically. Support is essential for any type and size of company; we have completed numerous projects at a pace that is adequate and decentralized from the activities that need to be carried out on an ongoing basis.

  ### 9. Good experience and easy to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Binder T. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2023

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Easy SSO option. I am able to see all accounts on one screen.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

At the moment there is nothing that comes to my mind

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is fast and efficient and always on like which is important to my business when providing remote support

  ### 10. Connectwise Control has built upon it dependable features over the years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William P. | Cloud Project Manager, Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2022

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

We reply on Connectwise Control for back end control of every single endpoint in our management of clients. Its dependability is the standout feature - a simple yet robust solution.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Updates and databse tweaks are an undertaking - but only because we rely on it so much we never want any downtime. Properly planned, we rarely have issues with this.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connectwise Control solves 99% of remote connectivity concerns, provided the site has internet. It is also a good test OF internet connectivity sometimes, sort of like a canary in the coal mine.

  ### 11. The perfect remote software. Excellent.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary L. | Network Administration Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2022

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

How easy it is to install. The ability to run commands and get information for each machine is amazing. I enjoy the ability to mass message machines in a group. For example I can explain there is or will be an outage.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Sometimes the sessions go offline. Forcing us to restart the service remotely from another machine on the domain or have the end user restart. This is rare but common enough to bring up.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connectwise Control solves many issues. However one of the biggest plus's to it is the ability to control what accounts have access to certain machines. For example end users that use their personal computers to remote in can use connectwise control instead of a VPN for security reasons. Of course pairing this with MFA through google authenticator. Its easy for the end user and our team.

  ### 12. ConnectWise Control Review from Drew

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew B. | M365 Practice Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

It provides seamless remote access to our end user machines, allows us to run commands, and even deploy software and transfer files

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

It is a bit pricy, but overall the product is great

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to remote into client machines, either attended or unattended, as well as create new remote sessions for clients not on our platform.

  ### 13. Review of ConnectWise Control

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill S. | Technologist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

It is a great remote access tool and comes with a bunch of useful features

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

There is nothing I don't like about the product so far

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving us remote access and screen share capabilities to all types of machines, and allowing us to remotely control and fix issues.

  ### 14. ScreenConnect!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven L. | MSP Service Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2022

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

When it comes to ConnectWise and remoting into workstations, you have either Automate or Control. Control is by far the most accessible and user-friendly option.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

There is not much to dislike about Connectwise Control. When using in Chrome, there is an additional popup that always seems to come up when attempting to connect to a computer. Just one extra click.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a MSP service provider, it is necessary for us to access our clients' workstations as fast as possible. Control makes it easy to sort, search, and connect within seconds.

  ### 15. Making Managed IT services one step easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris w. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2023

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Connectwise control gives you the features you would find in other remote management tools like Solarwinds N-able but expands upon it with a simple-to-use interface and easily scripted patch updates and connectivity options.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Often the online green icon denotes that you can connect to a machine however, upon launching it fails to connect.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

allowing our helpdesk to remotely manage and support users.

  ### 16. Support for very demanding customers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian C. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

ConnectWise Control helps me to have systematic control of the support of many users with a very solid experience, it is incredible and transcends the idea of creating a great quality in its functions, the interface is simple to use, and it helps a lot in the way the problem-solving management processes are developed.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

The tickets are generated randomly at times, it is a bug that has this program to consolidate the process efficiently.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are doing a great job since we started using it in terms of support, it is very easy to serve several customers simultaneously. The departments have a great technical support response capacity, we are prepared for any case resolution. It greatly strengthens the quality and simplicity of establishing a more efficient support vision in the company.

  ### 17. Not for the small MSP, non-existent reply from account managers

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

It is very involved and the remote control work decent.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Very expensive. The program takes up loads of resources. They are really attentive to selling it to you. Once you buy it, you can't reach anyone.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was ok at getting you into the client computer

  ### 18. Great product which integrates fairly well with other ConnectWise products

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe W. | Lead Cloud Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2022

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

The product is very very fast to use, it's also very simple to use/

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

It integrates fairly well with ConnectWise Automate, but I think this integration could be further improved, e.g. the ability to run the scripts/commands within Control that are created/stored in Automate.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It drastically reduces the need for an engineer to physically visit a user in person, most issues can be solved remotely.

  ### 19. Best Remote Control Product I Have Used. Support is Among the Worst.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Simply put, ConnectWise Control is the easiest to use and most reliable remote control support product that I have used. We rarely have problems with connections to remote systems and the agent installation is small, lightweight and quick to install. The program has a lot of useful tools and options. After some scares with security earlier this year, ConnectWise has made security a priority.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Support for the product is really bad. Every time I open a support case, I end up going back and forth with emails several times, not getting an answer and eventually figuring out a solution myself.

**Recommendations to others considering ScreenConnect:**

ConnectWise Control is best if you have the technical knowledge to support issues yourself.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ConnectWise Control allows us to helps clients located all over the country as well as if we were in the same room. With the push of remote work over the last 6 months, the program has been heavily used and has delivered.

  ### 20. ConnectWise Control: Remote Access Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin T. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

ConnectWise Control is a solid choice for remote access capabilities. I've been using it for several years now. First of all, the platform is very reliable. I can access ConnectWise Control from various devices, including my iPhone and iPad. Previously, I was strictly using Windows Remote Desktop. My end-users love that we can both see the screen simultaneously. I can use Connectwise Control as a teaching tool to show them things without walking to their office. I can black out the screen and disable their local mouse and monitor access if I need to do anything behind the scenes. ConnectWise Control's most remarkable feature is called Backstage. I can connect to their workstation behind the scenes and do various things, all without the end-user knowing I'm connected to their machine.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

ConnectWise could be so much more. ConnectWise Could build more features directly into the software. Backstage, for example, is a brilliant idea, but to fully utilize this feature, you have to add custom tools to the toolbox. The toolbox should come prepopulated with several different tools already. There are other things that you as the user can customize, but it would be nice to have more features already baked into the software on day 1.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Backstage feature has made it very convenient to log into a machine and make changes without bothering or interrupting users. I have a few users who make it difficult to access their computers. Accessibility is now no longer an issue with ConnectWise Control

  ### 21. Excellent remote support tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2018

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

User friendly interface, very straight forward. Also, we have rarely had an issue with using it. We use Screenconnect, we have tried a few other product add-ons but could not budget to for now

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Setting up the Triggers to get alerts...while they work, we really want to see an option the differentiates between someone just logging off a device from using Screen Connect, opposed to the device actually going down, restarting etc....(when using triggers)

**Recommendations to others considering ScreenConnect:**

Its very easy to learn and start working with it for help with Remote Support among other things.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quicker to provide remote IT support to client devices and well as ability to remote support servers and easily work on them off hours as well. This has helped our support team speed up the help they can provide.

  ### 22. Connectwise control for self hosted remote desktop

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pavan K. | Associate Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2022

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

The best feature is we can connect to any device remotely from anywhere and anytime very efficiently.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

It doesn't support mobile devices which is kind of annoying in today's world where everyone likes to work especially on smartphones

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Screen Sharing, file transfer, over the internet remote session, remote management of servers & workstation

  ### 23. Specifically it is a very helpful software for support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dima P. | Python Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

It has been a genuine program because it keeps a large number of user demands through support; its main job is to have the ability to distribute information and concrete results through help desk or opinion sharing. The interface is one of the things I like most about ConnectWise Control because it is very fluid and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

The price is a bit high. It has subscriptions on promotion, but then when it runs out, it tends to go up more than 100%.

**Recommendations to others considering ScreenConnect:**

It is perfect; I recommend it to those people who want to be in complete contact with customers; sincerely, it is efficient software that will give you good results if you apply it intelligently.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The result obtained since we have been using it has been positive; the tools work in an excellent way to keep the users happy with the support provided. It has helped our company to have a considered approach to solve the problems that our most active customers have.

  ### 24. A tool that is fast and improves our remote support abilities

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel T. | Service Delivery Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

It is fast to install, easy to use and it can type out your clipboard so getting into systems are a breeze

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

I don't like that it does not create a client group until that group has its first agent in it. That is a personal preference. I would like more integration into the product. For example, we store out PowerShell scripts in itglue. It would be good if it could pull scripts from their for us to use,

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed and ease of use. We were using Teamviewer, and we were having constant issues. Control is super fast and speeds up our resolution time. No longer are we having awkward moments on the phone when trying to connect to a remote endpoint, and we have to make up excuses why it is taking ages as TeamViewer is filled with connection issues.

  ### 25. Professional Remote Control/access software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel D. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Ease of setup and method for updating the agent. The small size of the install files. The simplicity for the end-user support.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Creating custom installers based on per client, it's cumbersome and could be simplified. The price's quite steep in terms of per tech costs for a standalone remote support application.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote access to client PCs & Servers. Faster turnaround time on connecting to remote sessions and less time spent for our support team in guiding end-users on allowing remote access.

  ### 26. Remote work as easy as it gets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerardo D. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Most of the upsides are related to the tools you can use when remote to a computer such as file transfer, keyboard shortcuts and so many more

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Sometimes the screen goes slow and glitchy, so it is necessary to close and open it again. Also, it needs to get updates more regularly

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since the pandemic started, my problems of remote work has gone and with the benefic of zero impact on business operation

  ### 27. Fantastic Remote Management Application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt M. | Service Desk Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

We use this application daily, and it makes our job as an MSP so much easier. The flexibility to connect to multiple workstations or servers at one time is incredible. The speed of the product is also a major plus for us to be able to work efficiently.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

There is nothing about this product that I dislike.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can completely manage our clients remotely for our technicians to troubleshoot workstations and servers efficiently.

  ### 28. Just the best value solution for us

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg H. | Company President & CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

We liked that we could purchase a license and then pay maintenance. Not sure if that purchase model is now available since the acquisition by ConnectWise, but if you can get it, the number of techs concurrent usage was the model we purchased and it's worked well for us.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Our purchase model seems to have been changed and the support for the Linux self hosted seems to have evaporated.

**Recommendations to others considering ScreenConnect:**

Go with the self-hosted model if you can, it's easy to setup and customize and you can use your own domain / URL. Which for branding purposes, is essential in our opinion.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to connect with customers who are not managed customers. These are customers who might buy a one-time service, or an annual security product license. They have ad-hoc support needs so no agent needs to be installed. ConnectWise Control allows us the support model we need without an agent.

  ### 29. ConnectWise Control allows me to quickly support my clients over the phone, and monitor servers.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve R. | Owner, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2018

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

I like the quick and easy way that I can connect to my client's computers from whatever computer I'm using (Mac, PC, or even my phone)

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

The mouse control on the mobile app does leave a bit to be desired. Microsofts own remote desktop app has much better mouse control

**Recommendations to others considering ScreenConnect:**

It's a solid product. You should use it.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm supporting my clients remotely while sitting in the basement of my house. It saves me time and fuel.

  ### 30. Best Option for New/Uprising Remote Access or Remote PC Repair Businesses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sam p. | video technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

The free option is perfect for business just starting, especially during the current pandemic. The option to change/upgrade licencing depending on the amount of technicians needed makes it very flexible to us. The speed and ease of use of ConnectWise Control is what makes it best in class.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

It would be beneficial to us if the installer could be branded with our name and image, like what is already possible with TeamViewer, this helps build trust between us and the client. Also there is no way of keeping track of customers with a contact list, this would make it much easier to track previous sessions.

**Recommendations to others considering ScreenConnect:**

Be sure to look into pricing options to make sure it is a fit for your company. The free option will do for many businesses that are just starting, but there is much more functionality provided in the Paid options, especially if you need access for more than one technician

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to provide ongoing professional remote support to customers not only locally but anywhere in the world. Something that wasn't a viable option until we deployed ConnectWise Control.

  ### 31. Simply the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Warehousing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

It just works! Administrating is very easy. It is full of features and new ones are being added every update. On top of this it's very competitive in pricing. It also has an option to prompt end user to enter and store their credentials so you can login/enter their login info on credential screens when they're not at their desk without the need of knowing their password.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

There isnt much to dislike. Only thing I wish is there was a way to make connection URL shorter so it can easily be typed if the URL cant be copied. However, as an alternative user can enter code on the homepage to connect.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to connect to computers when assisting. We've realized we can use it as remote desktop for some servers where a shared rdp session is needed.

  ### 32. My favorite everyday tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron P. | Senior Technical Consultant, Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

I enjoy the ease of use of the software. Using ConnectWise saves us a lot of time by not having to go to customers locations and remotely troubleshoot. This way we save money and time. We currently have it installed on our server and I like the fact that I can easily perform updates for ConnectWise and it never goes down.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

App navigation and ease of use need improvement. So far this not much I can complain about besides the app for mobile devices. I would like if the user interface would get an update as well as the icon on the workstations. I would like to see an integration with other ticketing systems and calendars.

**Recommendations to others considering ScreenConnect:**

ConnectWise Control is the most reliable and responsive remote software I have used. Another great thing about ConnectWise Control is the integration with other ConnectWise platforms. So this makes it easier to manage users, computers and tickets.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we manage about 300 computers and servers, the ability to perform updates, backups and troubleshoot remotely, has paid off. I realized we do not go to customer locations as often sicne most troubleshooting can be done remotely.

  ### 33. Reliable remote control access

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Easy to install on new machines. Helpful to chat with clients remotely. Generally straightforward to transfer files to clients. Able to retrieve basic machine information like serial number and model remotely with an agent installed.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Occasionally we need to re-install an agent remotely when the install fails with an update, but that can happen with any product. Occasionally the file transfer option takes some time to pop up, but generally it's relable software.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this as a back up system to remote into client computers if the RMM installation fails. We also use this to quickly establish temporarly remote sessions when needed. It's fairly straightforward to give a user access to computers only for one company in a few rare instances while we needed it.

  ### 34. Effective connection between devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** WILLIAM A. | IT MANAGER, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Connectwise is really easy to use and the connectivity is very stable. What I like is that it has functionalities to access a computer without requiring authorization from the end user. additionally we can generate different policies or groups to have access to these devices.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Connectwise has been very useful to me and it sticks to my needs so at the moment there is nothing that I do not like about the solution

**Recommendations to others considering ScreenConnect:**

We chose connectwise because it is much cheaper than the competition and the implementation is very simple.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connectwise has allowed us to have a centralized connection management of all our equipment. we can visualize whether or not the equipment is available for a connection.

  ### 35. Usually good, but rather glitchy

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian P. | Cyber Security and Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2021

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

Generally speaking, once I am logged in to a machine ScreenConnect works great. There are a few minor glitches here and there but most are related to terrible networks where the devices are located.

Under most circumstances, ScreenConnect maintains its connection better that standard remote desktop.

The cloud implementation is great. I migrated from on-prem to cloud with very few problems and it works just as well, if not better.

The mobile app version is functional but would never make a general daily use product. It's only for "emergency" access, which is not surprising considering the tiny screen and no mouse. I think they did the best they could giving you the ability to operate a computer from a touchscreen phone.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

There are some bugs that either never get fixed or get fixed and then recur a few versions later.
For instance, being able to blank the guest monitor didn't work for a long time (it would blank my screen too) and then it seemed to work for a while and then it quit again.
Tech support was aware, as I submitted a ticket, and (as noted) they seemed to have fixed it... but now no go again.

There is also a bug where the screen image doesn't update. This happens ESPECIALLY when you send Ctrl-Alt-Delete to log in. The screen will not change and I have to close and reopen the connection to see the login. I have seen the same thing happen when I reboot a computer, only in that case the screen is dynamic. It will show the spinning Windows reboot/update wheel but the actual computer has long since gone on with life. Closing and reopening the connection will show the real screen.

**Recommendations to others considering ScreenConnect:**

If all you need is the basic ability to log into machines as if you are there, ScreenConnect is great. Changing some of the defaults is a little "last decade" but functional. The ability to upload and execute scripts/bat/msi in the toolbox is pretty cool.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a functional and inexpensive way to access remote computers. Pricing is quite good. I only require a few screens at a time and so we pay only about $400/yr. Works great for me.

  ### 44. ConnectWise Control, the Managed Service (MSP) Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enzo L. | Co-chair Digital Transformation Committee , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2020

**What do you like best about ScreenConnect?**

ConnectWise Control gives us secure encrypted control of all systems. This gives the tech support team at 365 iT SOLUTIONS the ability to securely manage all systems while ensuring secure connectivity. remote support, and remote access including video auditing depending on your licensing. They offer four different plans to address almost everyone's needs in the market.
We find it to be a lightweight on the computer resources which is important to 365 iT SOLUTIONS when picking a strategic software to manage assets. We find the software installation takes up very little space compared to competitors and very minimal resource use with little to no hardware impact and performance. We find the remote software to be stable with very low failures rates. They offer Cloud Administrator account lockout that will allow for eight incorrect password attempts within ten minutes. Once that is trigger, the account will be locked for ten minutes. This great security feature prevents brute-force attacks. They also give the ability to use many different two-factor authentication methods including Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and Authy. Integration is fantastic as we have automated 99% of our business. It works great with all our tools including ConnectWise Manage, BrightGauge, and many other core line-of-business software.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

Connectivity to Apple devices is a bit more challenging than Windows systems. Tech support technician training takes a few extra steps but well worth it as it gives them greater capabilities. Tech support from ConnectWise can be challenging at times especially first level support. Majority of the times, our tech support staff is more knowledgeable on the issue and resolution which can be frustrating. Another challenge at times is the GUI interface which is not the most intuitive as there are many hidden options and modules which can be challenging and difficult to manage. Besides the items mentioned above, there is very little to no like as the software is much better than most out there. It gives managed services providers (MSP) a real advantage at offering their clients one of the best solutions in the industry.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unlike other consumer grade remote connectivity systems. ConnectWise control is more robust as the premium license offers video auditing that allows us to record video of all sessions and store them for future use. Reporting dashboards are also great to find real time information. We like that we can add our logo ensuring brand identity based on a centered delivery. It also leaves little room for error from other remote connectivity software connecting to take control as the user can identify the organizations. We find the connectivity to devices to be overall seamless except for Apple MacOS. The enhanced security puts clients at ease as as the all traffic is encrypted with AES-256 block encryption and RSA. As more and more organizations look at cyber security initiatives, this software is great at managing remote staff securely while passing industry IT audits. ConnectWise Control is also beneficial to us as it closely integrates with all our systems including ticketing, accounting, and much more ensuring we use the most automation so we can offer competitive pricing within the industry.

What I like best about ConnectWise Control is it's ease of use and deployment. It's also very light weight and can run on multiple platforms, including iOS and Android. Another think that I like about ConnectWise Control is the ability to push commands and scripts to help automate and resolve issues in the background so as to not interrupt clients.

**What do you dislike about ScreenConnect?**

What I dislike about ConnectWise Control is the cost for the license, there are cheaper alternatives; that while they don't offer the features of ConnectWise Control, are still usable.

**What problems is ScreenConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems we are solving with ConnectWise Control are remote access to our client's PCs. We can also push out commands and install tools/software using ConnectWise Control.
