CW allows you to assign ownership of each contract. CW's search interface is really good. CW's user annotation capability allows you to track provisions that are particularly relevant to your business. **What do you dislike about Conga CLM?** CW doesn't allow you to edit tags. I do not think I received enough information up front (we asked if there was anything we could do, and were told no! - this was not the case) There should definitely be a preparation guide on what basic steps (figuring out contract groups and contract types) BEFORE the initial design/function training. Getting put on the spot on day two that you need to have contract groups was a bit much to handle, so some hints on what will be required of us and what we can work on that before hand would have made the training go much smoother. That way the trainer is showing you how to enter your actual process and data fields, rather than showing you how processes CAN BE entered an leaving you to your own devices after they leave. The training could be more of a working training. **Recommendations to others considering Conga CLM:** Start fresh. New process, no legacy data. That being said, it is important to recognize the limits to any online proposal software before making the switch from a different product. We save time overall creating our proposals using Octiv, but as I mentioned before there are a few technical glitches that have caused stress for our company's users in the past. Some of the pages shift and resize as we work on them, and the copy and paste function does not past with the correct format, forcing us to reformat every time we do so. **What problems is Conga CLM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to create more visually pleasing sales proposals in a shorter period of time than ever before. They aren't easy to update unless you change directly in the source code and even then, the proposals look very unprofessional. Some of the limitations are salesforce and not Octiv however and working within the limitations of salesforce has been a challenge. **Recommendations to others considering Conga CLM:** Heavily customized quote formats will require more integration and customization upfront. **What problems is Conga CLM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Octiv has helped us take quoting from an offline, excel-based approach to an online, visible, tracked approach. This give us intelligence when customers review our proposals and also makes our company look more modern. It delivers a better CX overall. ### 31. Having the metrics present on the dashboard provide good oversight for users and managers on the 'health' of their sales. Standardizing of templates at the central office improves consistency across the organization **What do you dislike about Conga CLM?** The program could be more efficient to use as there are a few formatting issues that the team struggles with. Numbering, bullets, text formating at end of sentences. This makes the learning curves for individuals a lot longer than it should be. There should be foreign currency edits in the dashboard for global divisions. Everything pulls from Salesforce "quoted amount" but it confuses it from USD. Creating and customizing a front title page is difficult and not customizable. We had to implement a difficult workaround with the support team. Uploading a word document template never seems to format correctly and getting it into the right 'blocks' is difficult. Some functionality is difficult to access. MS word is the leader in the industry for document editing and several items could be visible on the screen to improve accessibility The autosave feature should extend into sharepoint whenever a document is published, not just accepted. **Recommendations to others considering Conga CLM:** While the software is good and his its upside, be aware of the learning curve of writing proposals and the 'clunkiness'. **What problems is Conga CLM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are trying to become more efficient in producing proposals in a personalized manner. The web-based output is attractive, simple to use and navigate, and good for what it is intended for. **What do you dislike about Conga CLM?** I do not find its functionality to be effective for the purposes for which our business bought it. As a consulting firm, our attempt was to standardize the quality of the output. However, we must respond in totally customized ways to RFPs, exchange entire documents with subcontractors who are returning things to us in word processors, and fit our proposals into specific formats. The "export to Word" function does not export in a way that is easily edited, and so I find it does not really save much time in the end and actually creates new challenges for proposal development. **Recommendations to others considering Conga CLM:** Consider carefully how much customization you might need beyond the features that are available. **What problems is Conga CLM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are attempting to solve the problem of staff using outdated or incorrect material in proposals to our clients. I sometimes experience issues with syncing, and we have the general rule that only one user should be working on a proposal at a time. **What problems is Conga CLM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use TinderBox for SOW's. It has made the process of "filing" and reporting much easier as everything is now digital. Paper copies may be printed but it saves trees and all the headaches that come with physical paper. ### 45. We're proposing a deal in the context we want, not through a PDF or document viewed their document viewer, Word, etc. Also love the ability for them to directly ask questions and to see how long they spent on the proposal. **What do you dislike about Conga CLM?** The product doesn't feel tight and lacks polish. What I mean by that is that while it works 90% of the time exactly as it should, the 10% (whether actually 10% or it just feels like 10%) where we have problems makes me lower my confidence in the product. A specific example is i was working on a proposal, a colleague jumped in to change something. He made a few changes and then left. When I went to publish the proposal I couldn't, it was a grey box. And when I went to the dashboard my version of the proposal didn't exist, only his. This created a massive headache which was only solved when I realized I could turn the individual pages within the proposal into a template and then import them into his version of the proposal. Also, I recommend that anyone that uses this site utilize the Tinderbox service team if there are any difficulties.
