Stay away if compliance is important **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Thomas v. | CFO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026 **What do you like best about Conga Composer?** When you save the proposals it is easy to switch to a more thrustworthy vendor. **What do you dislike about Conga Composer?** If you take data integrity seriously, I would strongly advise against using this company. During the years we used their software, we encountered multiple instances where data in proposals was incorrect. One particularly serious issue occurred when we sent out a data processing agreement to all our customers. The PDF download showed completely different list numbers than those displayed in the signing interface (see screenshot). This made us look extremely unprofessional. Support was not helpful, stating they “could not change signed documents.” When we argued that the PDF should accurately reflect what was actually signed, our concerns were simply ignored. In another case, after a system update, the currency in our documents was automatically changed from euros to dollars — resulting in proposals showing 15% less revenue. Fortunately, our customers were understanding and agreed to sign corrected documents. We also experienced issues with the Salesforce integration, where PDFs were not properly synced. Again, support offered no real solution, and we had to manually download hundreds of documents ourselves. When we decided to switch platforms, we attempted to bulk download all contracts with their ‘bulk download feature’. The number of downloaded files matched the number of offers, but all PDFs turned out to be duplicates of the same document. We only discovered this when a customer requested a copy of their contract during the transition period. When we raised this with support, their response was simply that we “shouldn’t use that feature.” We ultimately moved to PandaDoc, which has been a huge relief. Our proposals look more professional, editing is smoother, the software is more affordable, and onboarding was completed within a week. In hindsight, we should have switched much earlier. **What problems is Conga Composer solving and how is that benefiting you?** It makes proposals from our Salesforce data. ### 2. Would not recommend Conga Sign. **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Amanda P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2023 **What do you like best about Conga Composer?** Integration and it being native to Salesforce. **What do you dislike about Conga Composer?** This product is extremely difficult to use. We were sold on this product under the assumption it could do everything that Adobe can do, which it cannot. Users of this product described it as being clunky, disorganized, confusing and "spammy" looking. The obnoxious amount of emails it sends when a document is out for signature is overwhelming. In addition, configuring ANY custom write back tag is NOT easy. There are hardly any setup guides to help with a Salesforce specific organization. Conga Support cannot help if there is a need to create a custom merge field. There are limitations to optional or required write back tags and there is no in between. The amount of time to get up and running from date of purchase was almost a year - inexcusable and unacceptable. Sales team is difficult to get ahold of and goes days, up to weeks to get a response. **What problems is Conga Composer solving and how is that benefiting you?** Nothing. ### 3. We cannot get ahold of anyone to help us get from point A to point B however. **What do you dislike about Conga Composer?** As a company we found it near impossible to get the resources we need to make the tool do what we need it to do. We have been waiting for over 6 weeks to hear back on a simple IT ticket. **What problems is Conga Composer solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a simple export and we can't get it to work correctly. Horrible onboarding process combined with an outdated complicated functionality **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2022 **What do you like best about Conga Composer?** There is nothing to like unless you enjoy being frustrated with a poor platform design and useless employees who do not provide support. **What do you dislike about Conga Composer?** Their onboarding process is not there...........once we signed up, there was ZERO guidance to getting the platform installed into salesforce. The layout / flow of their platform is poorly designed in that there is no guided experience to creating your document.......the one they have is worthless with no help tools. Separately, they have links on their guided experience that take you to a generic conga page that is not relevant to the area you are working. . Furthermore, they use weird terms to describe things like "solution." vs. "Create a new document and button". They also have all these weird codes for your document to do certain things vs just using words and/or providing a help icon to explain what the weird term means. To make things exciting, we have paid for Conga yet we can't use it any longer as our "trial has expired" so another winning element to this platform as they take your money and somehow have issues. We signed a contract with them, so how we had a trial platform is very odd. **What problems is Conga Composer solving and how is that benefiting you?** Conga created more problems as a result of poor quality employees combined with a poor platform design. It's easier to create your documents in visual force than use Conga. ### 5. When we initially signed up with Conga, there were two of us using the forms that were created. We felt we paid a lot of money just for two people. Our account executive at the time told us that when it comes to the next contract renewal, we would already own the forms. We created the forms we needed in 2019. When our contract renewal came up, we found out that while we own the forms, we would not be allowed to generate the forms unless we signed a new contract. This is a major detail the account executive left out. I hope in the future that Conga will consider offering a less expensive option for small businesses with less than 10 people. I utilized support for every form we needed to create in 2019; Sales Order, Purchase Order, Invoice and Packing List. All of the people I worked with in the past were very helpful. I recently contacted Support within the last month and I spoke with two individuals that were telling me that the new form I needed to create couldn't be done. I tried explaining this new form uses the same data as the other forms, but they couldn't help me. **Recommendations to others considering Conga Composer:** Ask questions. Any questions you can think of, there are no stupid questions. **What problems is Conga Composer solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been using SalesForce Professional since 2009. In late 2018, we signed up with AccountingSeed for our accounting system which we found in the AppExchange in SalesForce. I spent Oct-Dec 2018 working with AccountingSeed to implement the new system which went live on 1/1/19. As we started using the new system, we found out AccountingSeed didn't have a Sales Order form or Order Confirmation form. They suggested we contact Conga for document generation. We were able to create some forms using Conga. It's very convenient to just click on a button and have a form generate. You can then click on another button for a Mail Merge and then email the form to a customer (Sales Order and Invoice) or vendor (Purchase Order). ### 6.
