## Confluence Reviews
  ### 1. Essential Tool for Efficient Knowledge Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos Z. | Product Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I like how Confluence integrates well with Jira, Loom, and all the apps in the Atlassian suite. The integration with Google Workspace, including Drive and documents, is a great plus. The addition of the robo AI makes it stronger and easier to manage, creating a centralized place for our documents and knowledge base. Using Confluence is also super intuitive and easy.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Maybe the way the documents are structured on the sidebar. Sometimes I have a hard time following through some documentation, but it's not a big deal.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence guarantees centralized documentation, providing us with a knowledge base that the team can easily access and manage. The addition of robo AI enhances this experience, making it even easier for people to self-manage their knowledge.

  ### 2. Confluence, a powerful and advanced business collaboration and communication platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omar B. | Technical Editor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

As an active user of Confluence's virtual work features and solutions, I can say that it is one of the best digital platforms for implementing better business communication and collaboration processes through your organization, promoting teamwork and improving the productivity of your work processes in a short time.

In addition, I can also say that Confluence is a platform that quickly integrates with all the systems and applications you work with, facilitating the adoption of its work systems and the automation of repetitive tasks and processes.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

I have nothing negative to say about Confluence's virtual work features and elements, I think it is an excellent platform that adapts to the needs and preferences of each user in a short time.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence is the platform that has allowed me to create the most secure and productive workspace in my entire work area, facilitating the presentation and discussion of new work projects and the automation of technical processes and tasks.

  ### 3. Excellent for Collaboration and Organization, But Editor Can Be Slow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

What I like best about Confluence is how easy it makes it to organize and share project documentation. The structure with spaces and pages helps keep everything neatly categorized, so information is easy to find later. I also like the collaborative features — multiple team members can edit, comment, or add notes in real time, which saves a lot of back-and-forth over email. The integration with Jira is another plus, since it connects project updates directly with the related documentation.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

One thing I dislike about Confluence is that sometimes the editor can be a bit slow or buggy, especially when working with large pages or multiple tables. Formatting doesn’t always stay consistent, and aligning images or tables can take extra effort. Also, the search feature could be more intuitive — it doesn’t always return the most relevant results when there’s a lot of documentation in the space.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence helps centralize all our project documentation in one place, which makes it much easier for the team to access and update information. With Confluence, everything from design discussions to release notes stays organized and traceable. It also helps new team members quickly get up to speed, since all project details and decisions are documented in one location.

  ### 4. A Must-Have for Collaborative Knowledge Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan H. | Creative Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I use Confluence as a single source of truth for all company-related information, product guides, team overviews, project roadmaps, project and team planners, and the company wiki. I appreciate Confluence for providing a central location not only to store shareable information but also to easily create this information using an easy-to-use page builder. I love that Confluence can be accessed by the entire company, so everyone can collaborate and share relevant and sometimes critical information.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

I love Confluence so far but if I had to say something it would be that I'd like more options in the page builder to be able to enhance shared information. I need to be able to add more fonts, styles, and colors to text and text blocks. Confluence as a whole product does require some time to be invested in learning the product before jumping straight in, although once you master the basics, you are on the path to success.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Confluence as a single source of truth for company information. It provides a central location to store and share information, and an easy-to-use platform for creating content. I love that it's accessible company-wide for collaboration.

  ### 5. A Powerful Tool for Team Collaboration and Documentation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal H. | Salesforce Developer, Manufacturing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence is a great tool for creating and organizing documentation in one central place. I especially like how easy it is to collaborate with team members in real time while keeping everything version-controlled. Its integration with Jira is also very convenient for project tracking and for linking requirements directly to the relevant documentation. I use it frequently, and it genuinely helps keep our team knowledge structured, consistent, and easy to access when we need it.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Sometimes the editor can feel a bit slow or cluttered when working with large pages. Finding older content can also be tricky if pages aren’t well organized from the start. The permissions setup can be confusing at times, especially for new users. Apart from that, it’s a solid tool.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence addresses the issue of scattered documentation by giving teams a single source of truth for shared knowledge. For me, it makes information much easier to find, keep up to date, and share across different teams. Collaboration also feels smoother because everyone can work from the same page, with a clear edit history and comments to provide context. Overall, it helps improve team alignment and supports better productivity.

  ### 6. Confluence Makes Knowledge Sharing and Team Collaboration Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay V. | software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

What I like most about Confluence is how easy it makes sharing knowledge in one place. Instead of documents being spread across emails, drives, or chats, everything lives in a single workspace that the whole team can access anytime. Another great thing is how simple it feels to write and read. You don't need special skills to create a page. You can start typing like a normal document, add headings, tables, or links, and the page looks clean and professional automatically. Confluence is also very good for team collaboration. Multiple people can work on the same page, leave comments, and suggest changes without confusion. This makes teamwork smoother, especially when people are working remotely. I also like how easy it is to organize information. Pages can be grouped by project, topic, or team, which makes finding old notes or documents much faster. It reduces the time spent searching for the work.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

One thing I dislike is that Confluence can feel a bit slow at times, especially when pages become very large or heavy or have many images and tables. This can slightly affect productivity. Another downside is that new users may feel confused at first. With many spaces, pages, and options, it takes some time to understand where to create content and where to find existing information. Formatting can sometimes feel less flexible compared to advanced document tools. While it works well for most use cases, small layout changes can take extra effort. Search results are helpful, but when there is a lot of content, it can still be hard to find the exact page you want without using specific keywords.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves the major problem of scattered knowledge. In many teams, information is spread across emails, chats, files, and personal notes. This makes it easy to lose important details. Confluence brings everything together in one shared space. It helps prevent repeated questions. When processes, decisions, or guidelines are written clearly in Confluence, team members can refer to them anytime instead of asking the same things again and again. Confluence also solves the issue of knowledge loss when people leave a team. Since everything is documented, a new team member can quickly understand past work, decisions, and workflow without depending heavily on others. It improves transparency. Everyone can see project updates, meeting notes, and plans, which build trust and alignment across teams. This is especially useful for remote or distributed teams. Another big benefit is better onboarding. A new employee can learn faster by reading organized documents instead of relying only on verbal explanations. Confluence also supports clear decision-making. Important discussions and outcomes can be written down so there is less confusion later about why certain choices were made. It helps teams avoid wasting time searching for information. When everything is written in one place, people know where to look instead of checking emails, chats, or asking others repeatedly. Confluence makes collaboration feel more organized. Multiple people can work on the same page, leave comments, and suggest changes without creating confusion or breaking the flow of work. It reduces mistakes caused by outdated information. Since pages can be updated anytime, teams are less likely to follow old instructions or wrong details. Confluence makes handover much easier. When someone switches projects or roles, all important context is already documented, so transitions feel smoother and less stressful. It encourages teams to think more clearly. Writing things down forces better structure and clarity, which often improves the quality of ideas and plans. The platform helps keep long-term records safe. Decisions, designs, and discussions are not lost over time, which is helpful when you need to look back or audit past work. It supports better teamwork across departments. Different teams can understand each other's work without constant meetings, which improves cooperation and reduces friction.

  ### 7. Solid Documentation Platform with Great Jira Integration, Despite Performance Issues

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian P. | QA Engineer Lead, Marketing and Advertising, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence has become our central hub for all documentation. The spaces and page hierarchy make it easy to organize information by team or project - our engineering space has separate sections for architecture docs, runbooks, and meeting notes.

The rich text editor handles everything we need: code blocks for snippets, tables for specs, embedded diagrams, and linked Jira tickets. Templates save us time - when starting a new project, I use our standard project template and just fill in the details rather than starting from scratch.

Real-time collaboration is a game-changer. Multiple people can edit the same page simultaneously, which makes our team meetings much more productive. We take collaborative notes and everyone contributes live.

The Jira integration works seamlessly - I can embed roadmaps and issue lists directly in pages, so our project status docs stay current automatically. Search is generally solid for finding old documentation quickly. Version history has saved us a few times when we needed to revert accidental changes.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

The editor can be frustrating when copying content from external sources - formatting breaks unexpectedly and fixing it wastes time. Performance noticeably slows in our large spaces with 500+ pages; page loads can take 5-10 seconds.

Without discipline, pages get messy fast. We've had issues with duplicate or outdated documentation scattered across spaces because people don't clean up or deprecate old content. Finding the right page sometimes takes longer than it should.

The permission system is confusing. Setting up proper access for contractors required our admin to spend considerable time figuring out space vs page permissions.

The mobile app is barely functional - viewing is okay but editing is clunky. No offline access is problematic when traveling or during internet outages.

For our team size (75+ users), licensing costs add up quickly. Advanced features like custom macros have a steeper learning curve than expected.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Confluence, our documentation was chaos - scattered across shared drives, Google Docs, old wikis, and email threads. Finding anything took forever, and we constantly dealt with outdated or conflicting information.

Confluence centralized everything into one searchable platform with clear ownership and version control. Now when someone asks "where's the API documentation?" there's one definitive answer. No more "which version is current?" confusion.

Real-time collaboration eliminated the old workflow of emailing Word docs back and forth for review. Now multiple people edit simultaneously during planning sessions, which has cut documentation time significantly.

The Jira integration keeps technical specs connected to actual work. When reviewing a ticket, I can jump directly to the related design doc or architecture decision, which provides important context.

Our knowledge base has transformed onboarding. New hires spend their first week reading our getting-started guide, architecture overview, and team processes - all in Confluence. This has reduced onboarding time from 3-4 weeks to about 2 weeks.

Overall, Confluence improved documentation quality, reduced time searching for information, and made knowledge sharing across teams much more effective.

  ### 10. Solid Enterprise Documentation Platform That Does What You Expect—And Does It Well

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M. | Senior Digital Analytics Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

While the overlap with Jira certainly doesn't hurt ultimatley it's a solid enterprise collaborative documentation platform. There are of course alternatives but none that feel quite as enterprise solution, by and large it does what you expect it to do and it does it well.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

For an enterprise documentation platform I find the search particularly weak. Assuming teams have structured their documentation well it can be fairly straight forward to navigate but searching can result in a bit of a jumble of pages which are difficult to refine.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence helps to solve challenges around fragmented knowledge and information stored in documents or presentations scattered throughout different locations. Providing a centralised, clear, structured place for documentation to live that can be collaborated on makes it considerably easier to either find the right information quickly or at least can signpost where to get information from.

  ### 11. Advanced and professional collaboration and communication with Confluence's digital features.

I can also say that Confluence is a system that stands out for its adaptability and digital integration, offering great technical performance in all its digital versions.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

I think Confluence is a reliable and highly useful business system, my experience has been positive and professional and I can recommend its use for the technical benefits it offers to each user.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to the use of Confluence's digital features and resources, I have been able to improve collaboration with all the members of my work team, facilitating the development of new projects and business strategies and improving my work productivity rates.

  ### 12. Confluence: A Single Source of Truth for Organized, Collaborative Team Knowledge

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Radhika R. | Full Stack developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence is great for keeping team knowledge and documentation organized in one place. What i like best is how easy it is to create, edit and share pages, whether it is for meeting notes, project documentation , or internal guides. It works really well for collaboration, multiple people can contribute comment, and update content without things getting lost in chats or emails. The structure with spaces and pages makes information easy to find later, which saves time and keeps everyone aligned. Overall, It turns scattered information into a single, reliable source of truth for the team.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Confluence can sometimes feel cluttered when there is a lot of content. If pages are not well organized or maintained, finding the right information can take longer than expected. Another thing is that formatting and customization can feel a bit limited or unintuitive at times, especially when you want more control over layouts. It is great for documentation overall, but it does require good structure and regular cleanup to stay easy to use.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves the problem of scattered information across emails, chats and multiple documents. Instead of important knowledge living in different places, it gives teams a single space to create, store and share documentations. For me, this is really helpful because everything from project details and meeting notes to internal processes is easy to find and reference later. It reduces back and forth questions, keeps everyone aligned and makes collaboration smoother, especially when working with larger or remote teams. Overall, it saves time and helps the team to stay on same page.

  ### 13. Essential Tool for Secure Business Data

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Umesh K. | IT Team, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

We use Confluence to do business collaborations along with project manager of different departments. This software enable us to exchange information from each other and also take proper notes, when the meetings are being conducted. This is the tool that manages our all business data and make sure that it is secured.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

One of the main challenge that I have been facing from last few months is its software layout because all the data that it shows in its dashboard are really complex and it becomes difficult to understand the graphs and analytics so if they can make the layout of the features and data separately then that would be much better.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence is a latest software that is important for our business because most of the meetings are incomplete without its data securing features plus the collaborations that we do in our meetings are done with the help of this tool only. So, I would prefer it to other new entrepreneurs also as this has been one of the most resourceful software that we have been using for our business

  ### 14. Advance your professional goals with Confluence's digital collaboration tools.

I think Confluence is a high performance technical system that has no flaws in the operation of all its digital functions.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence's virtual work resources and features have allowed me to improve the organization and management of all my work processes, facilitating collaboration and business synchronization with all members of my business, allowing me to meet all my business goals and projects.

  ### 15. Empowers Team Collaboration with Seamless Integration and Centralized Knowledge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shakti Prasad P. | Support Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

This platform offers ease of access and centralized knowledge sharing, making it simple for teams to collaborate in real time. Its structured documentation and seamless integration capabilities support institutional transparency and encourage iterative feedback. The system also promotes cross-functional alignment, efficient project tracking, content versioning, and streamlined workflows, all of which contribute to a more organized and productive work environment.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

The navigation feels cluttered, making it difficult to find what I need quickly. There's a steep learning curve, and I often experience notification fatigue. The formatting options are quite rigid, and page loading tends to be slow. I also encounter issues with search and discovery, and managing permissions can be complex. The platform relies too heavily on plugins, which leads to fragmented workspaces. Additionally, editing tables is limited and not as flexible as I would like.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool helps eliminate information silos and break down communication barriers, which in turn prevents version control chaos. By centralizing fragmented documentation, it reduces the need for excessive meetings and ensures that institutional memory is captured. It also accelerates employee onboarding, aligns cross-functional teams, simplifies the tracking of complex projects, and offers a single source of truth for everyone involved.

  ### 16. Empowers Team Collaboration and Seamless Note-Taking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mukesh R. | Marketing Team, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence is a software that we use mainly for deciding the policies of the company. This software also enables us to work together as a team and take important notes from the meeting that is being conducted for each and every employee of the company. It works like an digital notebook where everyone can give their inputs and write important notes and learning from the group discussions.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Confluence is a very smart tool and at the same time it is complex for new users. It has range of business management tools and operation handling systems. One of the main challenge while working with this software was that whenever I tried searching for old files and folders it always got messy and took a lot of time and this is something on which they need to work on

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the major business benefit that we have got after installing Confluence in our Organisation is that most of our employees are now able to search for right documents and data whenever they want rather than asking for details from other teams again and again. This process has not only saved us a lot of time and resource but also benefited us in monetary terms

  ### 17. Centralized Knowledge Hub with Seamless Integration and Accessibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RUSSELL K. | Machine Teaching Sr. Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence is my single source of truth for specs, runbooks, onboarding, and handoffs across Sidekick and BAM, and it’s where I centralize documentation so teams always know where to look. I like that THD-wide SSO makes spaces like the CEX landing page instantly accessible without extra friction. Its tight Jira integration, with JQL embeds and live backlogs on pages, lets me surface real-time status where people actually work. It also functions as a cross-team knowledge hub for OMS/Machine Teaching and CEX, where I contribute and maintain shared pages like Compatibility Rules to keep stakeholders aligned. And I rely on structured templates for documentation, release notes, and change logs, which keeps everything consistent and discoverable.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Briefly, Confluence tends to sprawl, which makes search noisy and navigation confusing; permissions and space governance are inconsistent; the editor is brittle with tables, images, and macros; Jira embeds can be flaky; attachments and versions get scattered; moving or renaming pages breaks links; and exports to PDF often lose formatting.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence helps me replace scattered documentation, siloed knowledge, and weak traceability with a single source of truth for specs, runbooks, onboarding, and handoffs across Sidekick and BAM, so I can find, trust, and reuse work faster. I benefit from SSO that lets me reach spaces like the CEX landing page quickly without extra steps. Its Jira integration lets me embed JQL and live backlogs in pages, keeping status and priorities visible where teams collaborate and reducing context switching. As a cross team knowledge hub for OMS and CEX, it keeps stakeholders aligned on shared references like Compatibility Rules and related processes, which improves decision speed and consistency. Structured documentation patterns and versioned pages make release notes and change logs more consistent and discoverable, improving onboarding and handoffs while preserving change history for audits.

  ### 18. The Go-To Platform for Documenting Team Processes and Decisions.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divya W. | Software Engineer, Telecommunications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

What I appreciate most about Confluence is how incredibly easy it is to use and how effectively it serves as a central hub for our team's knowledge. The platform is so intuitive that anyone can quickly start creating, editing, and sharing documents without needing any special training. I also value the wide range of macros and templates available, which make it straightforward to build well-structured pages for project plans, meeting notes, and technical documentation.
The simple implementation process was a major benefit for us; we were able to get our team and initial projects up and running within just a few days. Another significant advantage is how easily Confluence integrates with other Atlassian products, such as Jira.
This integration creates a seamless workflow, ensuring our project work always stays connected to the right context and requirements.
As a result, we've solved the issue of fragmented information, saving countless hours and improving our team's alignment. Additionally, the platform's speed and frequency of use have made our daily work even more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

My main frustration with Confluence stems from its occasional performance issues. When working with very large spaces containing thousands of pages, the search function can become sluggish, and page loading times are noticeably longer. Although customer support is generally reliable, resolving more specific or niche issues can be time-consuming, often requiring a deep dive into their extensive knowledge base.
Another significant drawback is that, despite Confluence's user-friendly interface, maintaining organization can be challenging.
Without a dedicated Space Administrator to oversee content, spaces can quickly become cluttered with outdated, irrelevant, or duplicate pages, which in turn makes the search function less effective.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence addresses the major challenge of having a disorganized and fragmented knowledge base. Before adopting it, our team's information was spread across multiple platforms, making it extremely difficult to locate the right document, project plan, or meeting notes. This led to significant wasted time and frustration.

Now, I rely on Confluence as our central, single source of truth for all team knowledge. I use it extensively for IT documentation, which ensures our team always has access to current information on processes and technical details. It has also become my main platform for project collaboration, enabling me to create project plans, monitor progress, and keep all meeting notes in one easily accessible place. Additionally, we manage our team's work through Confluence by building dashboards and trackers to visualize our progress. This approach has greatly improved team alignment and significantly shortened the onboarding process for new members. In the end, Confluence has helped me establish a unified workspace that has made our team both more efficient and more effective.

  ### 19. Effortless Collaboration and Organization in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bharat V. | Lead SDET AI, Legal Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

What I like best about Confluence is how it brings all our project knowledge into one organized and collaborative space.

In my day-to-day work, I use Confluence to create and update documentation for QA processes, automation workflows, release notes, and sprint planning. The real-time collaboration feature makes it easy for teams to comment, review, and refine content without long email chains.

I also appreciate how smoothly it integrates with Jira. I can link user stories, test cases, and RCA pages directly to Jira issues, which helps keep both documentation and development work aligned. The templates—especially for meeting notes, project plans, and retrospectives—save a lot of time and help maintain consistency across teams.

Overall, Confluence makes it much easier to maintain clear, structured, and searchable documentation that everyone in the team can rely on.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

While Confluence is very useful, there are a few areas that can be frustrating in day-to-day work. Page loading can slow down when spaces become large or contain heavy content. Formatting can also feel inconsistent at times, especially when editing complex tables or nested content.

Search results are not always precise, and finding older pages sometimes takes extra effort. Managing permissions at scale can also be confusing, particularly when multiple teams and spaces are involved.

These issues don’t block usage, but improving performance, search accuracy, and editing consistency would make the overall experience better.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves the problem of scattered documentation and poor knowledge sharing across teams. Before using it, information was spread across emails, chats, and local files, which made it hard to find and keep updated.

By using Confluence as a central knowledge base, all test documentation, requirements, process guidelines, and project notes stay in one place and are accessible to everyone who needs them. This reduces confusion, saves time, and helps teams stay aligned.

For me, it means faster access to test plans and requirements, clearer communication with developers and product owners, and better traceability when working with Jira during sprints and releases. Overall, it improves collaboration and reduces rework.

I also enjoy the extensive selection of templates available, which really help to streamline the documentation process. Additionally, I value the collaboration features that make it easy for team members to work together on the same resource.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

What I dislike about Confluence is its search tool, which I feel could be significantly improved. Additionally, when creating a document from scratch without relying on a template, I find it challenging to establish a custom format.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence makes it easier for teams to organize and manage their documentation, streamlining the entire process. It enhances collaboration by enabling team members to update documents in real time, which keeps everyone on the same page.

It is particularly useful for maintaining up-to-date specifications, decisions, and knowledge, all of which remain easily accessible without the need to search through countless emails or chat conversations.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

What I dislike about Confluence is that it can feel slow and cluttered as spaces grow, making pages harder to find and maintain. The editor and formatting can also be inconsistent, and managing permissions or page structure often takes more effort than it should.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves the problem of scattered knowledge and undocumented decisions by giving the team a single, shared place for documentation. This benefits me by making information easier to find, reducing repeated questions, and keeping technical specs and processes aligned across the team.

  ### 22. Our team’s single source of truth

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber D. | Data Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence has become the central hub for our team's documentation and collaboration. I appreciate how simple it is to organize pages, link them, and maintain version control. The real-time editing and robust search features make locating information effortless. It's particularly useful for onboarding new team members, as they can easily access everything they need in one place without having to sift through countless Slack threads.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

At times, the editor may feel somewhat sluggish when handling large pages or tables, and the formatting does not always respond as expected. Additionally, managing permissions could be more straightforward, especially for bigger teams. However, these are minor drawbacks when weighed against the significant time it saves us in sharing knowledge.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence has helped us centralize all our internal documentation and eliminate scattered information across Google Docs, Slack, and emails. It serves as a single source of truth for project decisions, technical documentation, and team guidelines. Having everything versioned and searchable saves us a lot of time, especially during onboarding or cross-team collaboration. It’s made our knowledge sharing more structured and transparent.

  ### 23. Empowers Team Collaboration and Productivity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhijeet K. | Digital Marketing Team, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

With the help of confluence we create platform for all of our business documents and project plans for its productivity and share it with our colleagues so that they can work on it make and make the plans and documents more efficient for our business.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

The platform is little complex and confusing for new users as for creating multiple pages at the same time and add macro and spaces on it, takes a lot of time and it needs to be done much carefully. Also there are limitations for editing same page in details which is not there in Ms Word.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We store all of our documents and other business files in confluence and searching for any particular file of any time period is simple in it's dashboard. Also creating project plans for our business becomes simpler as it has lots of free templates which help us in making our proposal much appealing.

  ### 24. Excellent Cross‑Team Collaboration with Structured Spaces and Jira Embeds

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

It’s great for cross‑team collaboration and visibility. I can easily see what my team is creating, updating, and referencing. The structured Spaces work well for departments and projects: each department can have its own workspace, and permissions can be tailored per space. This also helps keep pages more consistent across the organization and reduces the time spent on formatting. On top of that, you can embed Jira issues, reports, and dashboards directly inside pages.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Permissions feel “hidden” or fragmented across space settings, global admin, and licensing. Users often assume they’re blocked by permissions, but in our case the real root cause is a licensing mismatch.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of scattered, inconsistent documentation. Processes, historical notes, and team knowledge are no longer spread across multiple locations, which makes everything easier to find and keep aligned. It also simplifies onboarding for new team members, since they don’t have to search through multiple platforms to get up to speed.

  ### 25. Confluence Centralizes Team Knowledge for Easy, Searchable Documentation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asish S. | Packaged App Development Senior Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

What I like best about Confluence is how it centralizes team knowledge in a clear, structured way. As a developer, it makes documentation, design decisions, and onboarding materials easy to create, search, and keep up to date, so information isn’t scattered across chats or lost in people’s heads. This saves time, reduces repeated questions, and helps the whole team stay aligned.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

What I dislike about Confluence is that it can feel slow and clunky, especially with large spaces or pages full of content. Its formatting and page structuring can be unintuitive at times, making edits and navigation cumbersome. Also, search isn’t always precise, so finding specific information can take longer than expected.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves the problem of scattered team knowledge by providing a centralized, structured platform for documentation, project updates, and collaboration. For me as a developer, it means I can quickly find technical specs, design decisions, and meeting notes without chasing people or digging through emails. This improves efficiency, reduces repeated questions, and keeps the team aligned, allowing me to focus more on coding and less on tracking information.

  ### 26. “Confluence Review: Great for Collaboration, but Takes Time to Master”

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nisha R. | Senior Engineer 2, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence is generally considered user-friendly once you get used to its layout, though new users may find the interface slightly complex at first. Implementation is smooth for teams already using Atlassian tools like Jira, but it may take some setup time for those new to the platform. Customer support is reliable, with plenty of documentation and community resources, though response times can sometimes be slow. Most teams use Confluence daily as it becomes the main hub for documentation, meeting notes, and project updates. It offers a wide range of features—such as templates, version control, and real-time editing—making it powerful for collaboration, though it can feel a bit feature-heavy for smaller teams. Integration is one of its biggest strengths, working seamlessly with Jira, Trello, and many third-party apps, which helps teams streamline their workflows effectively.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Some users find Confluence a bit overwhelming due to its many features and options, which can make navigation and setup confusing at first. The search function isn’t always accurate, making it harder to find specific pages or older documents quickly. Performance can slow down when handling large amounts of data or complex pages, affecting efficiency. Customer support, while helpful, can sometimes be slow to respond or lacks real-time assistance. Additionally, the pricing can become expensive as team size grows or when more add-ons are needed, which may not suit smaller organizations or those with limited budgets.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves the problem of scattered information and disorganized team knowledge by providing a single, centralized platform for all documentation, project plans, meeting notes, and internal resources. This helps teams avoid losing important information across emails, shared drives, or multiple tools. By keeping everything in one place, it improves transparency, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. The platform’s integration with tools like Jira ensures workflows stay connected, reducing duplication of effort. For users, this means faster access to information, smoother team coordination, and a more structured way to manage projects, which ultimately boosts productivity and decision-making.

  ### 27. Turns Chaos into Organized, centralize knowledge

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kapil S. | Project manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I use Confluence for creating and managing knowledge bases and hosting team spaces. I really appreciate that it solves the problem of scattered, unstructured, and hard-to-maintain work information by providing a central, collaborative, secure, and searchable documentation hub. I love how Confluence turns team knowledge into an asset, which saves miscommunication in the team. The templates are great because they remove the thinking overhead so you don't have to start from scratch for SOPs, meeting notes, or project plans. I find the page versioning feature quite useful as it gives you a safety net, and the inbuilt macros are fantastic as they turn simple pages into powerful tools and make it seem like we're working on web pages. The integration with Jira is very helpful for finding knowledge nuggets in the same place, and it links work to all the documentation available for reference, making the information centralized and making the documentation intelligent. The initial setup of Confluence for my team was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

I think sometimes formatting for tables is glitchy and alignment breaks when you paste content. Big pages become slow, and the search can be good but not perfect. Copying and pasting from emails breaks the formatting, and it works great online but offline it doesn't.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves the problem of scattered, unstructured info by providing a central, collaborative hub. It turns knowledge into an asset, reducing miscommunication. I also find the templates, page versioning, macros, and Jira integration make documentation intelligent and easy to manage.

  ### 28. Empowers Team Collaboration and Streamlines Documentation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya S. | Designing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

As we belong from a service industry and conducting regular meetings and documenting it is one of our daily activities to run our business flawlessly. Confluence helps us in collaborative discussions and it also helps in reading and writing company's personal documents and data by all team leaders so that proper decisions can be taken for our business.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

One of the main limitation of Confluence is that it's pages cannot be designed or customised like MS word or notion because of its rigidity and fixed templates also if the team leaders does not maintain of it's pages properly then data and information becomes messy and quite difficult to understand.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software helps us in streamlining and solving all the daily challenges related to our business and it also helps our teams to get align for working with different projects so that overall workflow of our business does not break and these all things are handled by a small IT which reduces the maximum digital expenses of our company.

The integration with Jira streamlines our workflows, while customizable templates help us create project documents, meeting notes, and plans efficiently. Search functionality is robust, and I appreciate the ability to control permissions for different users, ensuring our sensitive data stays protected.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

The editor can be a bit clunky when managing large documents, images, or embedded macros. As our usage has grown, it's sometimes difficult to keep pages organized, and the notification system can result in alert overload for small changes. Additionally, the pricing can become expensive as the team scales up.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves the problem of scattered documentation and disconnected knowledge sharing within our organization. It provides a single, searchable source of truth for all our project details, team notes, and process documentation, which has drastically reduced time wasted searching for information across different platforms. **What do you dislike about Confluence?**

The overall features that confluence has little less than MS Word and Google sheets also the person managing this software and working on it should must have good organising skills otherwise all the pages can become messy and time for creating efficient notebooks can also increase.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 31. Excellent Collaboration and Jira Integration, But Search Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivi V. | program manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence stands out as a powerful "single source of truth" that brings all team knowledge together in one place. Its most valuable features include real-time collaborative editing and commenting, which help keep teams in sync. Most importantly, its smooth and native integration with Jira is frequently mentioned as a major benefit, since it connects documentation and planning directly to the development workflow.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

The main drawbacks of Confluence are its inefficient search functionality and ongoing content management challenges. Many users describe the search feature as "clunky" and "terrible," which makes locating information frustrating and undermines its effectiveness as a knowledge base. This problem is closely tied to another major issue: without regular "wiki gardening,"

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence addresses the issue of information silos and fragmented knowledge by serving as a centralized "single source of truth." This approach ensures that essential information—such as project plans, technical documentation, and meeting notes—does not get lost in emails, chat messages, or personal drives. As a result, all team knowledge becomes organized, easily searchable, and accessible to everyone, which helps save time, minimize redundant work, and enhance team alignment. Additionally, Confluence integrates directly with Jira, allowing you to connect your documentation with your ongoing project tasks.

  ### 32. Confluence, your best option for collaborative work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

- It enables real-time collaborative editing and in-line comments for seamless teamwork.

- It natively integrates Jira roadmaps and tasks to connect strategy with execution.

- It uses Atlassian Intelligence (AI) to summarize, generate content, and answer questions.

- It organizes information with dynamic databases (similar to Notion, but Confluence is much better) to manage goals or projects.

- It functions as a centralized, auditable single source of truth (SSOT).

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

- The page editor, while modern, can be clunky and frustrating when aligning images or complex macros.

- The default notification system needs improvement; it can overwhelm users with alerts for minor changes.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From my perspective, Confluence’s main purpose is to solve knowledge chaos by giving us a single source of truth, so we stop hunting for info in emails and chats. It's also brilliant at connecting our strategic plans (the "why") directly to the team's work in Jira, which creates real alignment. The templates are a massive efficiency win, getting everyone on the same page for things like meeting notes or project plans. Plus, the new AI features are incredibly helpful for quickly summarizing long pages, turning all that information into actual answers.

  ### 33. Great Organization and Formatting, But Performance Can Lag

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sascha Z. | Product Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

There are just enough text formatting options to keep things organized and easy to read, without being overwhelming. The ability to structure pages by sites and folders helps with organization as well. The live collaboration also works quite well.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Performance can be a bit slow at times, pages taking a bit of time to load. The database functionality is a powerful way of capturing information, however it's still a bit rough around the edges when it comes to usability.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps our information in one place that is easy to query. It allows us to share information across teams and throughout the entire company in a unified way. It's a wiki, so not really revolutionary, however it's very easy to use and does a great job at keeping our company information in one place for knowledge sharing. Storing information across multiple documents on a shared drive does not help with productivity as it takes a lot of time to find what you actually need to work, or requires you to ask colleagues for help in finding documentation. Confluence solves these issues in a rather simple and effective way.

  ### 34. Seamless Integration with Jira and Proven Collaboration Results

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John E. | Agile Coach, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence is an extremely easy-to-use Wiki-style collaboration tool that integrates seamlessly with Jira. Most of our daily Jira users end up accessing Confluence on a regular basis as a way of continuing collaboration beyond the specific work items in Jira. My organization enjoys the flexibility that Confluence offers, in terms of radiating out metrics, inviting people to collaborate on specific topics or themes, or relaying key information to others. The ability to immediately connect Jira work items with Confluence pages, or to take objects from a Confluence page and turn them into Jira work items means that the two tools coexist almost without effort.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

The biggest drawbacks to Confluence are the requirement for a viewer to be an Atlassian license holder (limiting the scope of basic "view" rights to those with expensive licenses assigned) and the need for sometimes costly add-on applications in order to get some of the best features and functions out of the tool.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem that Confluence solves for our organization is the coming-together of development (IT) teams and business (end-user) teams, to collaborate on the outcomes of specific requests or needs. Confluence provides a space to document IT changes and requirements while also making notes regarding end-user experiences and how to test new functionality.

  ### 35. Effortless Organization and Integration, Minor Formatting Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drashti K. | Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

The search works really well too, I can quickly find old documents or notes without wasting time.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

It often takes a few extra steps to format pages the way I want, especially when adding tables or images, but get things done. It can also feel a little slow or lags when loading large pages with lots of content. I think a few small design improvements could make it faster and simpler which will also improve user experience.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence helps my team keep all our information and project related documents in one shared space. We don't have to look through endless chats or files anymore because everything is documented properly. It’s also really helpful for onboarding new teammates as they can just read through the pages and understand how things work. It’s made our workflow more organized, simple and also reduced a lot of back and forth communication.

Instead of important information being spread across chats, emails, or personal notes, everything can be documented and shared in one place. This makes it easier to find answers, stay aligned with the team, and onboard faster. Overall, it saves time and helps keep everyone on the same page.

Confluence helps centralize documentation and team knowledge so information isn’t scattered across chats or emails. It improves collaboration, makes onboarding easier, and ensures everyone has access to the latest and most accurate information.

  ### 38. Efficient Collaboration Hub with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Satishreddy Y.

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I mainly use Confluence for documentation and team collaboration. It helps me create and organize project documents, technical notes, and learning materials all in one place. I appreciate that Confluence keeps everything well organized in one place, with structured pages and easy updates. The collaboration is smooth as team members can comment and suggest changes, reducing the need for multiple tools since documentation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration happen all in one platform. It saves time and helps the team work more efficiently. Using Confluence alongside other tools ensures project information, progress, and documentation are all in sync. The initial setup of Confluence was fairly easy, with a smooth setup process that didn’t require much effort for basic use.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

One thing that could be improved in Confluence is the performance, especially when working with large pages or many embedded elements, as it sometimes feels slow. The editor can also feel a bit heavy, and simple formatting changes may take more steps than expected. Searching for older or deeply nested pages is not always very intuitive, and better search filters would help. For new users, the interface can feel slightly overwhelming at first, so a simpler onboarding experience would be useful.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Confluence for documentation and teamwork, organizing all project documents and notes. It helps keep everything updated, linked, and easily shared, reducing the need for multiple tools and making collaboration more efficient.

  ### 39. Great for Collaboration and Organization, with Seamless Atlassian Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence makes knowledge sharing and collaboration very easy across teams. The page hierarchy, templates, and powerful search help keep documentation structured and easy to find, even as content grows over time. I especially like the seamless integration with other Atlassian tools like Jira, which allows linking requirements, tickets, and decisions in one place. Real-time editing, comments, and version history make it simple for multiple users to collaborate without losing track of changes.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

We frequently face access issues for some users, especially when permissions are inherited across spaces and pages. Troubleshooting who has access and why can be time-consuming, and permission changes do not always feel intuitive or immediately reflected. This creates occasional delays for users who need quick access to documentation.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence addresses the challenge of fragmented documentation and inconsistent knowledge sharing within teams. By offering a centralized platform for project documentation, standard operating procedures, and collective team knowledge, it ensures that information remains accessible and current. This approach lessens reliance on specific individuals, streamlines onboarding for new team members, and saves time by simplifying the process of finding and reusing information. Additionally, its integration with Jira links documentation directly to ongoing work, which enhances team alignment and boosts overall productivity.

  ### 40. Versatile Collaboration and Centralized Documentation Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chaitanya S. | Lead Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

We use Confluence as a central repository for our product information, including details about the products, solutions, and records of any service or maintenance performed, as well as any enhancements made. I appreciate Confluence as a tool for sharing my work in a centralized document that is accessible to everyone with permission. It allows me to not only enter text but also include media and external URLs, making it a versatile platform for collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Confluence can be challenging when it comes to sharing permissions, as it is not always straightforward to share a page with new users. Additionally, searching for specific documents within Confluence can be difficult. Managing version control is also not very intuitive; if I want to compare two different versions of a document, I often have to create a new document, which adds to the complexity.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence addresses my need for a centralized database to manage all my project documentation.

The platform is excellent for team collaboration, especially with its integration with Jira. I also value the product documentation and knowledge base features that help facilitate collaboration on a single platform. Furthermore, the setup was great thanks to the availability of some videos, although it requires some technical specifications.

Some things are very technical inside it

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Confluence for team collaboration and to share Jira info, solving the collaboration gap. It's very user-friendly, integrates with Jira, and is great for product documentation and as a knowledge base.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

At times, Confluence can feel a bit slow when loading large pages or attachments. The search features could also be more accurate, It sometimes takes extra effort to find older documents. Apart from that, the permission settings can get little confusing when managing access for multiple teams. However, these are minor issues compared to the overall ease and usefulness of the platform.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence has solved the problem of scattered and inconsistent documentation within our team. It provides a single, organized space where everyone can create, update, and access information easily. This has reduced dependency on emails and chat threads for sharing updates. It’s also improved collaboration, multiple people can work on the same page and track changes in real time. Also the great feature of Jira integration is very useful as i can link any ticket with its related documentation on confluence. Overall, it helps me save time, stay aligned with the team, and maintain clear, up to date project documentation.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I use Confluence primarily for creating and maintaining documentation and a centralized knowledge base. It helps me document technical design, processes, and team guidelines while collaborating with others through comments, review, version history, and shared pages. I like most about Confluence is how easy it makes creating, organizing, and collaborating on documentation. The editor is very intuitive and supports rich content like tables, code blocks, diagrams, and embeds, which is very helpful in technical documentation. Real-time collaboration, comments, and version history make teamwork seamless. Also, you can integrate it with multiple tools like JIRA, which helps in project management and documentation. Initial setup is fairly easy, with creating spaces, pages, and inviting team members being straightforward, allowing us to start quickly.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

I feel the UI and UX could be improved. Also, theming and ease of editing could be better. Notion has better support in these aspects.

I use Confluence to solve scattered documentation issues by centralizing our knowledge base. It makes creating, organizing, and collaboration easy with features like intuitive editing, real-time collaboration, and integration with tools like JIRA.

  ### 44. Excellent collaboration and documentation platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devang G. | Software Development Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence is a powerful and reliable collaboration tool that helps teams create, organize, and share knowledge seamlessly. Its integration with Jira and other Atlassian products makes project tracking smooth and efficient. The platform’s version control, structured spaces, and ready-to-use templates, easy to implement to make documentation easy and transparent, good to use for daily. It’s especially useful for software and project teams who want a centralized knowledge hub for all updates, guides, and discussions

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

On the downside, Confluence can feel slow when handling large pages or heavy attachments, and its permission settings can be confusing for beginners. The user interface may also seem complex at first. However, Atlassian’s support team is generally helpful and responsive, backed by detailed documentation and an active community forum that provides solutions to most issues quickly.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves the problem of scattered and unorganized information within a team by providing a single, centralized space for all documentation, project updates, and knowledge sharing. Instead of relying on multiple tools or emails for collaboration, teams can create, edit, and track content in one place. This improves transparency, reduces miscommunication, and saves time spent searching for information. It benefits teams by streamlining workflows, ensuring everyone stays aligned on goals, and maintaining up-to-date project documentation that can be easily accessed and referenced by anyone at any time.

  ### 45. Documentation over Confluence

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mriganka R. | Associate Consultant III, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

One place for team knowledge – It’s great at turning scattered docs, meeting notes, and decisions into a single, searchable source of truth.

Collaboration that feels natural – Inline comments, mentions, and page history make it easy for multiple people to contribute without stepping on each other.

Flexible structure – You can start with simple pages and grow into a well-organized space hierarchy as your team scales.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Performance can lag – Large pages, lots of macros, or big spaces can feel slow to load or edit, especially at scale.

Content sprawl – Without strong governance, spaces quickly turn into cluttered archives of outdated pages that are hard to trust.

Editing experience quirks – The editor is powerful, but it can feel inconsistent (cursor jumps, formatting surprises, macro weirdness).

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can answer questions once instead of repeatedly, by pointing to a living document.

I spend less time searching or reconstructing decisions from chat logs.

I get clearer signals on what’s current vs. outdated (when teams maintain pages well).

Collaboration feels more durable—work doesn’t disappear after a meeting ends.

  ### 46. Effortlessly Enhances Collaboration, Needs UI Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash A. | Undergraduate Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I really like Confluence for its accessibility and collaborative features, which are great for collaborating on documentation. The real-time coediting feature is fantastic as it allows teams to work on pages simultaneously with live updates, and you can see visible cursors to track changes in real-time. This is very helpful for getting both asynchronous and real-time feedback. I also appreciate the inline comments and mentions, which allow for direct discussions on the page and notify specific users for their input. Additionally, Confluence's integration with other tools like Jira, Slack, and Google Drive helps streamline workflows. The whiteboard feature is another highlight, allowing me to brainstorm with sticky notes and diagrams and easily convert ideas into final document pages.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

I think the UI can be made more intuitive and user friendly. And second thing is the search feature can be made better. The search feature is not up to the mark. Because, like, we have thousands of documents in our directory and all, but searching some keywords through those directory, Confluence doesn't work as good. So the search feature needs to be improved.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence solves documentation problems and is great for collaboration. It's ideal for teams to work on technical documents together, make changes, and publish versions collectively.

  ### 47. Centralized Team Collaboration Made Easy with Seamless Jira Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

Confluence works well as a central place for team documentation, making it easy to create, organize, and share information. The page structure and links help keep content easy to navigate, and features like comments, mentions, and version history support team collaboration.

Its integration with Jira is especially helpful, as it connects documentation to ongoing work and reduces the need to switch between tools.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

As content grows, it can be difficult to keep pages well organized without clear internal guidelines. Search can be inconsistent, especially in large workspaces with outdated or duplicate content.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence helps solve the problem of scattered documentation by giving teams a single place to store processes, project updates, and shared knowledge. This improves alignment across teams, speeds up onboarding, and reduces time spent looking for information. By connecting documentation to workflows, especially through Jira, Confluence helps teams stay informed, work more efficiently, and maintain consistency as teams grow or change.

  ### 48. Centralized Knowledge Base with Seamless Collaboration and Powerful Jira Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

This platform offers a powerful, wiki-style knowledge base that centralizes team information, making it both easily searchable and accessible. Its real-time collaboration features, such as comments, @mentions, and templates, help keep everyone on the same page, minimizing confusion caused by outdated documents and enhancing productivity for both technical and non-technical teams. The true strength of this tool is in its ability to serve as a single source of truth for documentation, project planning, and brainstorming, particularly thanks to its seamless Jira integration and flexible customization options.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Many users are frustrated with Confluence because of its sluggish performance and the challenging learning curve it presents. The editing and formatting tools often feel awkward to use, and the platform can easily turn into a disorganized, outdated repository when page management is lacking. This makes it difficult to locate information or ensure content stays relevant. Additionally, users frequently encounter problems with search functionality and access controls, even though Confluence is closely integrated with Jira.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product tackles the issue of decentralized and unstructured information in organizations by offering a centralized workspace. It enables users to create, share, and collaborate on content, helping teams stay organized and work together more efficiently.

i like how multiple people can collaborate on a document to work on. Also unless i publish it does not get published

  ### 50. Essential Tool for Clear Documentation and Team Alignment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alankrita P. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I use Confluence on a daily basis in my role, and it has been very helpful for documenting work in a clear and structured manner. It makes tracking tasks much easier, as we can document upcoming activities and clearly see what has already been completed and what is still pending. And its easy to make an page on confluence with tables too, easy to integrate. This visibility helps the entire team stay aligned. Overall, Confluence plays an important role in effectively managing and tracking tasks in my day-to-day work.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

There are 2 things I dislike about the Confluence is that sometime we lost the access for some pages without clearly knowing why, which we already have previuosly. And the other thing is searching some page, it is very difficult to find the pages if naming conventions are not followed.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence makes life easier by keeping everything in one place. Instead of searching through emails, chat messages, or different documents, I can find all project details, processes, and updates in a single shared space. It helps the team stay on the same page, reduces confusion, and saves time because everyone knows where to look for the latest information.
