We are an union contractor and eCMS can handle the processing of multiple unions along with the weekly/monthly reporting requirements. **What do you dislike about Computer Guidance Corp?** eCMS at times is not always the most intuitive software. However, the support staff at CGC is always able to walk me through a problem and provide me with the best solutions. **What problems is Computer Guidance Corp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our current document management program is being sunsetted. We are currently working with CGC to create various document repositories within their Content Management module to house all of our confidential documents. Their staff have been very helpful with the creation and set up of this. Not to mention we can now eliminate a software subscription because eCMS has the functionality built in. ### 2. No matter where you key in your data, there is always a way to trace it back to see where it originated from. The ability to track Submittal due dates with reports and the CGC response time when an issue arises with the system. **What do you dislike about Computer Guidance Corp?** The only downside to Computer Guidance Corp. would be the outdated portion of keying a Purchase Order Change Order. Navigating through that portion and editing a Purchase Order Change Order, within CGC, is not as user friendly as keying a Request for Proposal. **What problems is Computer Guidance Corp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Computer Guidance Corp. gives us the ability to problem solve by tracking items down easily. Menus are organized and laid out logically. Two of the stronger aspects of the software, that I especially like, are the data import suite and a newer re-imagined Content Management module that has been instrumental in our efforts to become a paperless office. **What do you dislike about Computer Guidance Corp?** I am a longtime user of eCMS, and I can say that back in the day, when it was time to apply a patch, fix-pack, version update, or similar - something would inevitably "break" or become disabled as a result of that type of load. However, I believe the Computer Guidance as put a heavy emphasis on quality assurance in the the last few years, and these types of incidents rarely occur anymore. **What problems is Computer Guidance Corp solving and how is that benefiting you?** As mentioned above, the Content Management module has been a pretty big game changer for us. In fact, we were offered the opportunity to become one of the first beta customers for this newer platform, affording us the ability a weigh in on developmental ideas and concerns before being rolled out to the masses. Response time on trouble tickets is usually very fast and keeps us up and running whenever we do encounter an issue. We have several different companies in the construction industry - general contractor, heavy/civil and quarry operations. We have implemented eCMS software to suit the different needs of each of those companies. **What do you dislike about Computer Guidance Corp?** Documentation is not always up to date or readily available. **What problems is Computer Guidance Corp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Accounting for our heavy equipment repair costs and usage on our job sites which is linked to the Canadian payroll module. We are a firm believer that having the right software not only streamlines operations and management, but is a key to successfully having an advantage over the competition. Everything a company can do automatically, quickly, and most importantly, accurately is worth its weight in gold. eCMS is a fully integrated, secure, cloud based ERP system that was easily customizable to meet the individual needs of our business. With the exception of our estimating department that uses Sage Estimating and OnScreen Takeoff for estimating; our entire company uses Computer Guidance Corporation's (CGC) eCMS and its suite of applications and tools for all of our accounting and operational processes. For any construction company, it all starts with the job estimate and the awarded projects have to become part of the company's ERP system. So to help expedite getting the details of an estimate into our accounting and project management system, CGC truly 'bridged the gap' by offering a product that imports Sage estimates into eCMS and generates a full job cost budget within a few minutes. What used to take someone from accounting hours and depending on priority, it sometime took several days to enter a job cost budget, these newly created job cost budgets are now immediately accessible to the entire team. This not only saves time and allows the aceleration of buy out - it saves money. Users that don't have to spend time keying data from an estimate are free to move forward and focus on more critical tasks. In addition to the 'technological bridge' CGC provided for us for the start of a project; we absolutely love how eCMS has made managing credit card expenses easier. Cardholders are able to take a picture of their receipts immediately after a purchase using the 'Receipt Capture' option in the Expense Track mobile APP. The cardholder browse the APP for 'our company specific' general ledger accounts or job cost codes. Once they select the code, enter a brief description of the purchase, and the amount; they select the 'submit' button. And that's it! They're done. They don't have to look at or deal with that transaction anymore. It's ready to be imported into our eCMS AP Processing area for editing and then updating directly into the appropriate accounts in the database. Because of this enhanced technological 'bridge' into eCMS, we're able to eliminate the painful task of cardholders having to keep up with and later match receipts to expenses. We also have eliminated the need for the accounting team to have to organize, match, and enter hundreds of lines of data for credit card expenses each month. Because Computer Guidance had the vision to not only produce a solid, cutting edge construction accounting software; but they anticipated and prepared to partner with various third party vendor to 'bridge the gap' in this way. No more scheduling after hours and sleeping overnight to install tapes. Our minds are at peace knowing CGC is getting it done! Also, any infrequent issues with service tickets are handled quickly and efficiently. **What do you dislike about Computer Guidance Corp?** We are on eCMS version 4.1 and my only complaint is that when you select a module, the system stays on the page or process you went to, but after each entry, you have to go back to the module and select the option you were using. For instance, I go to the A/P Module and select Processing and then Enter Invoices...I have many invoices to enter, but rather than staying on the Entry screen, you have to go back to the A/P module, Select Processing and Enter Invoices for each journal date you are trying to enter. **What problems is Computer Guidance Corp solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of the most recent problems we are attempting to solve is to reduce the manhours it takes to enter our load tickets/material orders for job cost into Order Processing. We are now using "Importing Order Data" by using a spreadsheet with all of the pertinent data for multiple orders and it is a massive time-saver. The benefits are the obvious manhours saved on the tedious task of entering manually versus importing the data. ### 15.
