"Very Easy to use."

What do you like best?

Compulink is very user friendly, it is easy to learn. Just by watching the training videos its easy to understand how to use it. I also like that is is cloud based. compulink is also more helpful then most that i have used because it links up with insurances, so some insurances you don't have to look up the patient benefits because it's linked with the system. The other nice part about it is insurance claims are done directly through the system.

What do you dislike?

Something i dislike about compulink that is different from other systems Ive used is the ledger, I don't like how all the charges are together no matter the date of service. Its gets confusing if you don't pay attention, i think it should be separated by date.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use compulink for eye exams and eye glasses sales.

Compulink is very easy to use, it is anything but difficult to learn. Just by watching the preparation recordings its straightforward how to utilize it. I additionally like that is cloud based. compulink is likewise progressively supportive then most that I have utilized in light of the fact that it interfaces up with protections, so a few protections you don't need to look into the patient advantages since it's connected with the framework. The other decent part about it is protection claims are done legitimately through the framework.

What do you dislike?

There are numerous irregular eccentricities about this program take a lot of experimentation to make sense of. Fortunately in my setting, a significant number of us discover these tips/traps and offer them to spare time and vitality.

"not my favorite program "

What do you like best?

I like that everything is easily accessible from one screen. It makes taking payments easy, as well as scheduling patients, and getting their appointment reminders.

What do you dislike?

most of the time the program runs super slow, there are several glitches in the system, in the billing portion, making patients pay more than should when ordering glasses.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure employees are getting the proper training in the system, and note that at times compulink can be very very slow.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

scheduling exams are much easier, students are having an easier time documenting patient exams and posting fees.

"Compulink Review"

What do you like best?

I like all of the different options that compulink has. I am actually on the Compulink review team at our facility.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that they got rid of the option to use color coding for different category codes. We used that a lot with schedule and it made it a lot easier.

It is a pretty good - I would recommend it.

It makes it easy to schedule appointments at our clinic. There are new benefits with each new build.

"Meets office needs, but many quirks"

What do you like best?

I like that Compulink is relatively customizable and allows all of the documentation needs to be met. Different tabs can be added depending on the specifics of the exam, and can be excluded when not necessary. For the most part, this program is reliable, organized, and easy to use.

What do you dislike?

There are many random quirks about this program that take a large amount of trial and error to figure out. Luckily in my setting, many of us find out these tips/tricks and share them to save time and energy. However, it can be very frustrating at time if the correct box is not marked or the specific button is not clicked.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I think overall this is a well rounded product that has many more good aspects than bad. Yes there are a few odd tricks to maneuver through some of the pages, but it is an efficient tool for documenting data during exams. It is definitely worth trying out and seeing for yourself!

Compulink helps things to run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively in the office by being a program that includes all the needed areas for documentation. It is customizable and relatively easy to use overall.

"Very User Friendly"

What do you like best?

This program is very easy to use. It is easy to locate patients, keep track of orders, and input invoices for frames and lenses.

What do you dislike?

The customer service is hard to get with, you can't speak to someone right when you call you have to put in a ticket and get called back which is hard to do when you are dealing with patients.

It is a good software, I would reccomend it to anyone looking to make their job easier.

The software makes it easier to keep track of inventory, we were doing it by hand before and now it is able to store what you input and print out reports to see what you have and do not have.

"comprehensive system, but incompetent onboarding."

What do you like best?

this system can do everything from practice management to EHR functionalities.

What do you dislike?

the training offered by the company and the set up help is very poor.

Compulink needs to update their look and basic functions, a field should in today's day and age not have a character limit, that is just crazy. the software still looks like it did back in the 80s... Definitely needs a face lift to be more intuitive. it is not intuitive or user friendly at all, Officemate is much more user friendly.

"Great program if it worked well"

What do you like best?

It is extremely simple to learn and use. There are several places to put important patient notes, and it is very easy to navigate.

What do you dislike?

There are constantly errors and the program crashes frequently. The schedule takes a while to open sometimes.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It is great to use, as long as you have a great IT department willing to do everything they can to make changes that improve the office's use of it.

We have everything we need in one program, from demographic information, to insurance, to everything that happened during an appointment. This is a benefit since we don't have to open several different programs to get daily tasks done.

"Worst Computer Software"

What do you like best?

Easy to find ehr and notes. Icons easily depict what the category is supposed to contain.

What do you dislike?

It crashes ALL THE TIME, if in a rush of patients the compulink will crash and hinder the flow of the clinic.

It crashes all the time, conveniently acts like its taking contact lens orders but it never actually does, Deletes patient info that was just entered in and then crashes.

"Ideal for Ophthalmology Practices"

What do you like best?

A basic design that yields remarkable utility. Extremely easy to use - ideal, integrative solution for ophthalmology workflow, from medical records to inventory control to revenue management.

What do you dislike?

Interface can be inflexible and clumsy at times - but this slight disadvantage is outweighed by the simplicity which facilitates easy training from one employee to the next.

Great option for small to mid-size ophthalmology practices. Will reduce redundancies, increase efficiency, and optimize profit margins.

"it's like quicksand"

What do you like best?

the scheduler and the spectacle POS are better than average. it took 15 years of nagging to get the spectacle POS, but it's made a huge difference in our practice.

What do you dislike?

the ehr did not have input from practicing Optometrists. there are many mistakes, so you must take the time to correct the mistakes in order to document properly. there are endless pop up boxes and data boxes that make documenting extremely tedious. you can customize screens if you have a programming background, but the custom screens to not receive updates. in general, this software was designed by programmers, for programmers, not optometrists.

Start with anything else, nothings perfect, but this product has too many problems out of the box.

"Compulink is full of all kinds of information I need on a daily basis."

That I can go from page to page quickly.

That I have to shut it down at least twice a day.

"Customer service is awful and all ala carte."

What do you like best?

It has great potential. It allegedly has many bells and whistles.

What do you dislike?

1. Hurry up and wait for help. Usual response time is about 3 hours. This will NOT resolve issue. Issue usually takes 4 requests and 2 1/2 weeks before resolution. (Customer service is horrendous)

2. They always want more money. It is THE biggest money grab ala carte menu I've ever seen.
